Smon
Maybe my morals are just too high, but this is just horrible.
martmeister
Yeah, that's just wrong. It's expected that one's children will become better at their parents at some things, namely video games. More advice: Now if Junior's a hateful little brat, possibly brought on by bad upbringing (ahem, this means you), a little humiliation is in order. martmeister
Agreed, it's a stereotype that MUST be followed at all times. Â Yep...until my youngin's come along, then I'll promptly whoop their asses at KOTOR7, Halo 10, Duke Nukem Forever (yes! one day in the distant future, it will finally be released!), and...Psychonauts 2. TechnoTabby
Now I undersand if our generation beats kids at vid games I mean we grew up with them.I know that there are going to be new game systems that are going to make us go WTF but if we still have time for games we'll get the hang of the new systems......maybe just maybe.......but one things for sure no little booger eating kid is going to beat me at any games from the gamecube, 360, wii, ps2, not even the old school SNES! Poopdogjr
If my kid ever beats me at a video-game, I'll beat him in real-life. It's a matter of principle. Just that simple. Â DON'T COME IN MAH HOUSE AND DISRESPEKT ME SOHN! Â I'll be all like "yo son i was dere in da begining of games son. I be playin before yous waz born son. Dont be trifilin' me wit none o' dat" Â It is a weird to think that someday you may have a kid. Even weirder to think he may challenge you to some crazy kaka-mayhmeme future game. But I feel that i have honed my skills enough so that some day in the future if i have have kids and play them in a game i will kick their ass unmercilessly. martmeister
if they're well-thought out games, I'll be proud of my son/daughter, albeit disapointed in myself. If my youngin's are playing some stupid-ass game like Pokemon or Yugi-Oh, I'll just let them friggin' beat me and be like "wow! I guess you're better than me" and really wonder about the stupidness on my wife's side of the family, and more importantly, why the hell didn't I catch this before mating/marriage/engagement/dating. Davinq
Yes, it was. Â Apparently we are also the generation that wants the most to succeed, but also the generation that's the most rebellious. Almost sounds like a paradox.
martmeister
Well we can, but we have our own ways. Â You know how they call the WWI/WWII gen as "the Greatest Generation"? I wonder if when we're the oldest gen, they'll call us that. Some of their changes took place over 50 years; we've seen some in only 10-20 (Internet, ding-ding! Human Genome Project, ding-ding). Poopdogjr
I dunno. I sort of think the world is kinda in the crapper. But I read a book the other day by Arthur Clarke. It dealt with the future of humanity. And it sort of gave me hope that someday maybe our species will get it's act together and become something great.
