King Dando
"Blink" is on tonight. I'm not so sure about it yet though, it seems to be another one of those Doctor-lite episodes, kind of like "Love and Monsters" from season 2, which I didn't really enjoy all that much. Anyway, I'm really looking forward to the episode after next, when we finally see Jack re-join the TARDIS crew, even if just for a few episodes. I fell in love with the character in Torchwood, and can't wait to see him back in the TARDIS. Did you see the short clip in which see first see Captain Jack again? It was on Friday Night With Jonathan Ross a few weeks ago.
Diego Varen
"Blink" is on tonight. I'm not so sure about it yet though, it seems to be another one of those Doctor-lite episodes, kind of like "Love and Monsters" from season 2, which I didn't really enjoy all that much. Despite my doubts (mainly because it is after the two best episodes in this series), I have a feeling that Blink will be much better than Love and Monsters. I might have said this before, but along with New Earth, that episode and Love and Monsters were the worst ones for me. The Doctor should have more lines this time though. Did you see the short clip in which see first see Captain Jack again? It was on Friday Night With Jonathan Ross a few weeks ago. No, but I saw it on YouTube. It looks good, but why does the Doctor ignore Jack? And something tells me that Jack will have to return to Torchwood soon enough. I also got the Colin Baker episode, The Mark of the Rani and a while ago, I got The Five Doctors on DVD.
The Doctor
Jack will return to Torchwood, since Barrowman has signed for a second series of the show of the same name.
Master Zionosis
Wow, I really enjoyed Blink, i actually think it is one of the best episodes in the series, not to mention the scariest, it was really well thought of and i wanted there to be more than 45mins lol. kotor_freak
Wow, blink, that was actually quite good (but it's Doctor Who, isn't it always, eh? ) I think i did a little **** when that angel appeared right in front of that sally and the other dude like it was going to gobble them all up like a sunday roast Oh oh oh!!! Capt. Jaaaaack!! :D Next week yay! :D Apart from the doctor, he's my favorite Can't wait, i'll be on the edge of my seat, basically tearing the leather of it just to see Jack back on hehe Yum. Diego Varen
Despite my doubts, Blink was good and stood up as one of the best episodes along with the two parter previously. Utopia, The Sound of Drums and The Last of the Time Lords look good too.
steven
I agree with my good friend Topsite on this one. I'm looking foward to Utopia if only for Captain Jack and the Sound of Drums trailey
Darth InSidious
For once, the new series seems to have got to grips with the implications of time travel. Evidently at least one person on the writing team has their brain in gear. Pity it ain't RN-T. Next week looks set to completely undo this, however. 'Not even the Time Lords ever went this far.' - What rot! The word Panopticon has certain implications, you gluttonous, Welsh drek...
Aash Li
hey! keep the welsh bashing to yourself! ...now Im off to find the ep to watch. hehe Blink was freaking scary... and rather sad too. :| Sally was really cute... hehe I jumped when the angels moved for the first time, and after that I dont think I blinked for the rest of the show. lol
Darth InSidious
hey! keep the welsh bashing to yourself! I'm from North Wales. RTD is okay writing Torchwood (maybe because he just wrote the pilot episode), but with Doctor Who, the majority of the episodes he writes are awful (the only exceptions being Rose, The Christmas Invasion, Tooth and the Claw, Smith and Jones and the season finales. Sorry, but when there are writers like Paul Cornell and Steven Moffat, RTD isn't as good.
Trex
...going on this series. Anyway, where was I? Ah, yes. So what came first : The Doctor writing the message on the wall or Sally reading it? Yeah I know - Paradox/no real answer. Definitely a fantastic episode though. If RTD is leaving, it should be Moffat first in line to fill his boots as head writer. I think this one may have even overjoyed me more than last weekso. Can't wait to see exactly what in the what is actually going on next week. Maybe we'll actually get some answers to the various mysteries going on this series. Anyway, where was I? Ah, yes. So what came first : The Doctor writing the message on the wall or Sally reading it? Aash Li
Another mind-bender... does Sally having given the doctor the folder negate the fact that the angels took those people? Because now he knows whats going to happen, so he can avoid it... and... and... lol... always did love those paradoxical questions. One of the reasons I loved later star trek series... :

Torchwood is utter...well...utter Torchwood. @Aash: No, the Doctor has to go through with the whole whatnot or none of it happened, and then 2/3rds of the universe would probably be destroyed (as the Doctor says to whatchemacallim when he considers changing how things happened). @Trex: In who's time-stream/point of view? From the Doctor's point of view, Sally gave him the folder first. From Sally's POV, the writing came first. There's no absolute answer. I suppose if you look at time as a linear set of events, then the writing came first. But that model doesn't really work Ain't time travel fun? King Dando
"This is my timey-wimey detector. It goes ding when there's stuff" That line cracked me up. I actually really enjoyed Blink, which is good because after having seen the "Doctor-lite" episode from last year, my expectations for it weren't that high, but it completely blew me away! No, but I saw it on YouTube. It looks good, but why does the Doctor ignore Jack? And something tells me that Jack will have to return to Torchwood soon enough. Perhaps the Doctor didn't want to have to explain to him about Rose, or something?
Darth InSidious
Hmm. Mixed bag, this one. Captain Jack, but Professor Yana. John Simm but Derek Jacobi. Murray Gold, but err... actually, there's nothing that could counterpoint the awfulness (and inappropriateness!) of Gold's muzakal choons. John Simm as the Master...Urk. What a horrendous performance. It's gurning-chips-and-joompahs all over again. 2/10. Would be a five or maybe a six, but John Simm's performance (and, to be fair, Jacobi's "I am the Master!") pushed it down. Oh, and what a fantastically, stupendously idiotic plot. Diego Varen
Very critising Darth InSidious, but I suppose we all have our opinions. Despite it being another one of those episodes with an end of something plot (something I don't normally like), Utopia is one of the best episodes Russell has written and it is nice to see John back as Captain Jack Harkness in Doctor Who. For a while, he won't be with his bisexual crew from Torchwood and will be back with the Doctor for the next two episodes at least. Derek Jacobi also did well as the Professor Yana (I found that as the acronym of the Face of Boe's last words was well written), whose mind was somewhat foreshadowing future events I believe. The use of flashbacks were also used well. My only complaints are that I found Derek's regneration into John Simm (from Life on Mars) too similiar to the Chris-David one. I know his perfomance wasn't exactly great, but look at David when he first started in Doctor Who (I wasn't sure what to expect at the time). I'm looking forward to the the remaining two parts (the first three parter in the series and something tells me that this Trilogy will be known as the Return of the Master in the future). Darth InSidious
Very critising Darth InSidious, but I suppose we all have our opinions. I refuse to complement bad writing. King Dando
The whole "I am the Master" thing. Saw it coming. Its been hyped up to the point where it kind of ruined it me. I thought the regeneration scene was too similar to the Eccleston-Tennant one, so much so that I jokingly blurted out "Oh, new teeth, that's weird!", before being told to shut up again. Another thing, how can The Master operate the TARDIS, I thought the controls were isomorphic?
Pavlos
I refuse to complement bad writing. A spade is a spade, not a handheld, lever-enhanced soil motion aid. Surely you jest? Then... then what does my company sell if not a hand held, lever-enhanced soil motion aid - with battery enhanced hydrolysing extricators, I might add. A weak episode, to be honest... perhaps I was spoilt by the last three episodes, I don't know. Ah well.

As much as I love the ever-hot Martha, I liked Rose first as a character... Why would Rose be back for an episode? She is stuck in a parallel world and the only way Rose would return is a spinoff on her, which to be honest, Doctor Who has enough of. And yes, the Master thing was hyped up a lot and I wasn't sure if it was true, but the rumours were true. Mr Saxon is the Master.

It was very weak, although I'll agree it's position after three very good eps didn't help. @Dando: The isomorphism seems to come and go, but it was a somewhat odd thing. I mean, you'd think that the TARDIS would recognise the Doctor's old enemy... @Topsite: Well, with the new Time Lord empire[/i] rumours about next week... I mean, you'd think that the TARDIS would recognise the Doctor's old enemy... I got the impression it may have either been something to do with the Doctor's hand being there, the Master knows how to 'hack' a Tardis, or the very beginning of the next episode will see the blue box immediately return to where it was and spit the baddie back out again. But anyway, I thought the episode itself was friggin fantastic. I won't comment much on the actual story itself though since I don't think there was much of a one. This was all about the characters, the Doctor and Jack's relationship, and the reintroduction of a long Time Nemesis. All of the above left me a very happy little man. Suppose I better change me sig now...

If they can get In to that place a couple times, then they can get into it again somehow... its Dr Who after all... Id just like to see whats happened to her. A Rose spinoff wouldnt be that good I dont think, besides we dont need another dr who related show.
