Doctor Who! Doctor Who! :D

Freema hasn't quite got the hang of it, although David's voice was spot on!

Just finished watching the last episode, it was great! :D

Can't wait for Voyage Of The Damned

I agree with that point and I can't wait for Voyage of the Damned either. If you watch Rose, Clive says the Doctor was involved with the Titanic in his ninth incarnation (but I doubt Christoper Eccleston will return for one episode).

The last episode was good, but it reminded me of how much the series has depressed me slightly (End of the World situation stuff, etc), but it was a good way to end this series. I won't post any of the plot, since there are many spoilers, but it is good. My only complaint is that the ending is too similiar to an episode Russell wrote last year. Other than that, Russell has really done well this time.

Now my plans to write a multiple Doctor Fan Fic after that episode has become even harder now. And say goodbye to this Avatar and Sig soon...

That's right, the Ninth Doctor persuaded this family not to go on the voyage, although in the very next episode, he comments that he was on the Titanic, and spent the night "clinging to an iceberg" or something. It's been a long time since I've watched them.

Maybe Christopher Eccleston could return for the one episode, after all, it will be an Xmas special, and people tend to do nice things at Xmas, unless he's total scrooge. Although with it being an Xmas special, they would have to start filming it within the next month or two.

The ending was very similar, what which the surprised look, and overuse of the word "What?!", although maybe they are planning to make it a recurring thing in the series, although we'll have to wait until the fourth season finale to see if I'm right :)

I could probably sum it up as enjoyable but somewhat frustrating. I have no idea why but the entire episode felt as though it had been written by a young child as a school project - maybe it was the melodrama.

In all honesty, for all the plot twists, revelations (no one commenting on the whole 'jack thing' yet?), and for what is essentially a very downer ending, there is only one thing really bugging me : How does the Titanic crash into the TARDIS?

And I don't mean how, I mean how is it physically possible? Think about it. The TARDIS is far bigger on the inside so...

Well I'll put it this way. What would that scene actually look like from the outside?

PS : One Hundred posts!

I was thinking that, pretty screwed up I should imagine. I bet what with RTD writing it there will be some kooky plot twist in which the Doctor is responsible for the sinking of it, it would be just like RTD to do something like that.

I would've mentioned it, but I didn't want to reveal anything to anyone who hadn't seen it yet. I'm still shocked at the revelation though (which Russell himself has confirmed).

That was why I didn't mention it either, Russell confirmed it did he? Was that on DW Confidential, because I totally forgot about it and hence didn't watch it :( Now I'll just have to make do with the cut-down version. I thought the whole revelation was just implied, rather than just stated outright, but it is pretty cool though.

I read that Russell had confirmed it on Wikipedia, but I doubt it. I've only watched Confidential a few times and it isn't very often. Yesterday, after the broadcast of the last episode, I wrote a one shot, based on the thoughts of the Doctor, Martha and Captain Jack after the episode. The link to it is below.

Jack being the Face of Boh makes sense actually. I love how this show neatly ties up loose ends. Not many shows can do this so flawlessly. Guess they got some pretty darn good writers.

Loved the ending of this, the Doctor could only sit there going "Wot?!" lol. I started watching this expecting it to suck, but I was pleasantly surprised when it rocked instead. :)

Im guessing the Master's wife is the woman that picked up his ring... and perhaps his persona is etched onto it, like the watch thingy...

Perhaps, when the tardis is rematerializing it is its original size, so its just as big outside as it is on the inside. Yet it still looks like the phone box, and it only regains its size for a brief moment, and in that moment the titanic crashed into it.

*shrugs*

Oh, and I request this to get stickied! >_> I dont think its slipped off page one since it was made. :3

Got it. When in it's natural, non-chameleon circuit look, the TARDIS has the exact size and look of a giant iceberg! It explains so many things! Or not, but anyway...

It also occurred to me last night that the Christopher Eccleston Doctor made at least two references to being involved on the Titanic. In his very first episode there is a picture of him and a family he convinced not to voyage, and I'm sure he makes another reference to 'clinging to an iceberg'. A Ninth & Tenth Doctor crossover for the christmas special? Would love to see it.

Kylie confirmed for 'Doctor Who' Xmas special

Monday, July 2 2007, 15:28 BST

By Kimberley Dadds

Kylie Minogue has signed up to appear in this year's Doctor Who Christmas special alongside David Tennant.

The Australian singer will start filming one of the lead roles for the episode this month in Cardiff, Wales.

It has been confirmed that the storyline for the show, Voyage of the Damned, will follow on from the end of series three where the Titanic crashed into the Tardis.

Executive producer of the show, Russell T Davies, said about the news: "We are delighted and excited to announce that Kylie Minogue will be joining the Doctor. Doctor Who Christmas specials are always a joy and we feel very confident that this will be the most ambitious and best Christmas episode yet."

Kylie was also pleased to be on board, saying: "It is an incredible thrill to be joining David and the entire Dr Who production for this year's Christmas special. Dr Who enjoys a unique history and it is going to be very exciting to be a part of that."

Put it this way.

Imagine good writing.

Now imagine someone took that, and did exactly the opposite. Voila, you have Touchwood.

For one I loved the way the Titanic crashed into the TARDIS, that was my highlight of the episode, lol.

And as for Kylie, well i think it's a cool idea, i really like Kylie one of my favorite singers.

And Martha in torchwood sounds interesting, i might actually watch it this time.

And I'm also looking forward to who the new companion will be for 'half' of the fourth series.

Rose returns... and she went through a Dr Who regeneration, and now she looks like Kylie! :o!

Seriously, Id be laughing if that actually happened. lol

"New hair, that's wierd."

I doubt that would happen though and it would prove how bad Russell writes.

Well, I just saw Last of the Time Lords (finally). I was waiting the whole episode for Lucy Saxon to be exposed as a glossy, important character that the story couldn't exist without. Did I miss it? She was useless, except at the end, where she opened the door for the Master to return by taking his ring. Cause InSidious will agree that the Master has been killed off many times before, and always escaped. Only difference now is that they've left the door open, instead of crafting something later on. Now we're expecting it, jerks. But honestly, she was useless! I knew Davies wasn't the best writer in the world, but even he must see how useless she is?

Now, as for John Simm. He's a brilliant actor. He's funny, he's energetic, and a whole bunch of other stuff that the Master shouldn't be. The only person that ever laughed at the Master's jokes was himself, and that's because he was a megalomaniac. He was never supposed to be so... John Simm-ish. They should have begged Jacobi to stay. He had the evil aura about him that made him the best Master since Delgado himself.

The end was insane, too. It tried to tie off far too many loose ends, to be honest. And what the hell is with the TARDIS colliding with the Titanic? How the bloody hell does it punch a whole in the side of another dimension? Unless it has something to do with the 9th Doctor's presence - and yes, I'm operating under the assumption that the two will meet for an awesomely awesome awesome-fest. As long as Davies doesn't write it, anyway...

I wish they'd stop writing characters out. I know she's coming back, but for God's sake, pick a bloody companion already. I hate the episodes where they introduce the new companion. I didn't like Rose, and I didn't like Smith and Jones. In the words of the Doctor himself, "I hate starting from scratch...".

Where was Leo through all this? I was expecting him to show up to ruin some serious ****, but he showed up once in the entire episode. That sucked. They had Martha's ditsy sister, 'Tish', who, I'm sorry, needs to start taking a closer look at her employers before she jumps all over a too-good-to-be-true job offer. At least they had Clive do something, even if it was kind of... stupid. A bucket of water on the pipes! OH NOEZ!

I did like the dialogues between the Doctor and the Master, though, particularly when the Master was 'dying'. That's the one thing from this episode that I believe the Master would really do - refuse to regenerate simply to piss off the Doctor.

Lucy was just the "evil eye candy" competing (and getting her ass kicked) with the hotness of Martha. hehe.

I rather liked Simm as the Master, but the old guy as the Master would have been so awesome that it would have been mind-blowing. He had the insane genious aura going for him, but no they had to get this sugar-addict to play the Master. lol

The last of the humans turned into the toclafane was something I didnt see coming, even though I should have since they said several times that there was only two places the Master could go in the tardis.

And yes, the tardis x titanic love fest is still my favourite part.

"Wot?!"
