Lord Ritly
Thats quite obvious, why?, well Jedi are forbidden to feel any kinda of emotion, as they saw as a weakness, which in turn isnt and shouldnt, main example being the best, Anakin Skywalker, being forbidden of having Love affairs or any sort of attachement is what in the end drove him to the Dark Side. Did you know that after episode 6 Luke legalized the attachment rule? Supposedly Luke got a wife, and Han & Leia got a child. Food for thought. Jaden Kenobi
True, some might believe, myself included, that Luke "Fixed" the "Flaw" in the Jedi Code. Should be noted that Luke abandoned 2 of major Forbidden actions of the Jedi Code, "Having Love/Family Attachements", because of there short numbers "Training Older Force Sensetives" and the fact they were allowed more emotinal attachement that Old Order did because its seen not many Jedi under Luke´s Order ever turned to the Dark Side and most of them were Redemed in the end of it. SilentScope001
Did you know that after episode 6 Luke legalized the attachment rule? Supposedly Luke got a wife, and Han & Leia got a child. Food for thought. And did you know that many Jedi fell to the DS because of that rule and that Luke's cousin ended up becoming a Sith Lord. Not that it matters...the New Jedi Order was already smashed into itty bitty bits in 100 years by the Empire. The last Jedi Order, the one with the attachment rule, stayed alive for 1000 years...maybe even longer. Maybe Luke Skywalker's great idea wasn't so great after all. I don't even get this belief that "attachments" are necessary. You are supposed to be a Jedi Master out to save the world from the Dark Side. Why waste valuable time cozying up with someone of the opposite gender and receiving feelings that could corrupt you? Go and fight for the Force! Corinthian
You know, it seems like the Jedi sell their souls for power. The Sith do too, but at least they don't pretend they don't. I think they're both equally insidious, the Jedi just prefer Order because it's easier for them to manipulate events.
PoiuyWired
I think we should move some of these arguments to the "Views on Jedi" thread in the unknown regions.
