RoxStar
Apple has done it again. They've also dropped the price of the iPhone significantly. The iPod Classic now starts at 250 USD and 80 gigs, respectively. The new iPod touch promises internet access via wifi, which is honestly very very cool. tk102
I saw this earlier today too. I don't particularly care for the new Nano form factor. The old style was much more svelte. Sad they didn't include FM radio.
Jeff
I saw this earlier today too. I don't particularly care for the new Nano form factor. The old style was much more svelte. Thats just what I was thinking tk. The touch looks pretty neat though.

Achilles
Sad they didn't include FM radio.Hence why I own an iRiver Clix. Well, that and the solid state drive
Acrylic
The Nano looks like a short stumpy kid.

Commander Obi-Wan
Nifty. But, I am fine with my iPod. It works fine and well... looks fine as well. Though, I do like the looks of the "iPod classic".
TiE23
How much for the touch? I'm actually slightly interested in that one. That is unless it's $500.... and on second thought... only 16gb? Is that correct? Nah, no way....

TiE23
Yeah, forget it. I'd need $800 for the space I need. Then I can go on my PSP for the internet if I really wanted to.
tk102
Kind of surprised that they there wasn't a Touch+Classic model available (ie. an iPod with iPhone interface and a hard drive). I do like the Wi-Fi though. Maybe it was due to Big display + hard drive + wifi = about 10 minutes of battery life
MTV2
hmmm, i like the Touch. 16GB is perfect, as i have 15.17GB and i don't listen to half of it, so it'd make for some good videos with the extra space. would have to re-encode all my videos. also that $449 price tag is pretty steep. don't care about the iTunes store as they are rip-offs when i could just go to G2P on the internet on the Touch. I'll have to wait and try a demo of it.
Sabretooth
All this and they still don't bother releasing the damned phone on the continent with the largest population eva. And BTW, is it just me, or does the iPod Touch look pathetically similar to the iPhone?
MTV2
it ....es me off how they were just making the iPod Touch and not focusing on getting the iPhone in other countries...preferably Canada. the iPod Nano looks like ****, the Classic is nice. stoffe
And BTW, is it just me, or does the iPod Touch look pathetically similar to the iPhone? They do, but they are likely running the same operating system, and since most of the surface is the screen that's what you see. I'll probably stick with my a few generations old iPod shuffle (the white model that looks like an USB memory stick) a while longer. The smaller the better, makes it easier to carry around. BongoBob
Can't even lie. The Touch looks slick. Very do want.
Sabretooth
They do, but they are likely running the same operating system, and since most of the surface is the screen that's what you see. They could have at least tried to change its look. Chinese duplicators aren't going to be happy with the iPhone/iPod Touch similarity! Or maybe they are...
