Zargon
Well, there is the soul-sucking black hole of pain that materializes and rips your heart out right through your rib cage when it inevitably doesn't work out. But other than that, yes, you have nothing to lose. but it feels kinda good from the other end of that at times.......

Rogue15
nice! I watched some movies tonight online umm Saints and Soldiers and The Girl Next Door. pretty good movies! i'm considering going on a 9 day "fast"...3 days no food, 3 days no sleep, and 3 days 'going dark' (no computer, no cell phone, no music, no tv, no video games), I'll be doing this in an attempt to clear my head. Just not sure when to start.
edlib
Whoa! That's hardcore. Are you sure any of that is healthy?? Well... going off the grid for 3 is,.. but the rest? Isn't 3 days without food considered "starvation"? And I know that 3 days with no sleep can lead to hallucinations. I came close to that a couple of times in college... and trust me, it didn't help clear my head. Just be careful, is all I'm sayin'. I'd personally start with going unplugged first, and see how that goes. Yesterday: Work was fairly easy. No real complaints to report. I was in the most bizarrely goofy mood, however. Took a lot of people by surprise. I think more than a few of the folks I was around simply didn't know what to make of it. Ran into a guy who I used to work for after the show. It was nice catching up. He was one of the bosses I had (I used to freelance for his sound company...) that I always really liked. Today: Wait for the guy who installed my replacement windows to swing by and check why there's water running down the outside of the house under the bathroom window every time someone takes a shower. After that: Vote,.. and then head off to work. Might go see a friend/ co-worker's band play tonight after work... provided it doesn't keep me out too awfully late. Kuuki
voted. kinda odd how in my town we got like 4 or 5 spots where there is only one guy there. and with that, there is like up to 3 parties that that one particular guy gots... f*** the damn coroner had both democrat and republican... i mean, what happens if he gets voted one way or another? would he have to look at a persons death in a more liberal way or conservative? "Yup, no doubt about it, this guy died cus of a massive contusion to the head with a hatchet by his wife finding out that he was cheating on her. Although, the other side of me says that he hatchet was placed in the contusion as an example to assist the war on terrorism, fought relentlessly by the victims wife." i know, it dont make sense,... Keyan Farlander
nice! Just not sure when to start. Avoiding electornic gadgets is good, but going three days without sleep is not going to help clear your head. Instead, try for a solid 8 to 9 hours per night. That's what you need. As for food, fasting might be good. Three days with no food is a little extreme. Start with one day, and make sure to drink plenty of water during that day. Otherwise, take a few days or a week and eat only fresh, healthy foods and drink only water. That should do you good.

Rogue15
eh i'll edit that out......lol Obama won!!! Although, i voted for McCaine, who i really wanted to win... oh well, it's only 4 years until the next election, and our economy is going to be so much better for it!!!!!!!!!!!!! i'll have to post-pone my fasting, i got a cold... this is my plan. cut caffeine out, starting tomorrow (5th of november) once this cold runs its course, I will begin my fasting... 72 days no food Go dark for TWO weeks (as in no internet communications, no cell phone this will be the hardest i think, because i get bored, but this will give me more time to clean and do stuff i normally don't do) 72 hours of not sleeping. After that, I am going to hit the gym for 3 months every other day until I am at my goal weight of 160 pounds (i currently weigh 190) Call Army Recruitment office Within those 3 months i plan on getting a girlfriend and getting an apartment. edlib
72 days no food... Errrr... I sincerely hope that's a typo. I was in Cambridge, MA. when John McCain gave his concession speech last night. It was a pretty crazy scene. Every car that drove by was honking it's horn, and people were hanging out of the windows and dancing in the streets. Being on the liberal side of moderate, I have to admit to being fairly pleased with the election results this time around. Although I've met (did sound for him at a press conference in Boston once) and actually like John McCain, and probably would have voted for him when he ran in 2000 (had he beat out Bush in the primaries, that is...) after the last several months of campaigning, and his unfortunate appointment of Palin as his potential 2nd, I just couldn't get behind him this time. (Not that it probably ever would have mattered if I did... there's truly less than a snowball's chance in Hades that the Massachusetts Electoral College votes would ever go Red, no matter how I personally voted...) But I do feel a little bad for him. Here's hoping President-Elect Obama really has the goods to deliver on the promise. Work was pretty casual yesterday. I went and saw my buddy's band play. They were OK. I'm just so glad I don't do sound in dank little rock clubs, though. That's a side of the business I REALLY have no desire to be part of. Area meeting this morning... student concert tonight. Yippee.
Zargon
Here's hoping President-Elect Obama really has the goods to deliver on the promise. depends on which promise? his last month policy shifts? or what he was talking about last year? my suggestions, save $$ now, and if you ever wanted to own a firearm, buy it now. hes from chicago, and illinois, the most politically corrupt state in the union, seriously, out last gov is in jail, and our current one has been federally indicted for basically stealing like 40 million dollars from the state to fly his family around on his private jet, among other things. the mayor of chicago illegally bulldozed an airstrip a few years ago too, and is the son of the man that had the graveyard voting for JFK. And Obama is buddies with both of them, and Tony Resco who is federally indicted for numerous things beyond buying favors from politicians(he gave $$ to obama and hillary). it should be intersting if nothing else
edlib
My feeling: There is not a politician alive today, who has ever lived, or who will ever live who is not associated with some fairly shady characters and situations. It's the nature of the business. In other news: Some random woman (single mom of 2 a couple of towns over, kinda hot...) befriended me the other day on Myspace and has already gotten pretty flirty. I'm playing along for the moment... but being extremely cautious remembering what went down with 15 in the same situation, and trying to not get a lot of crazy hopes up. Her page seems legit, but that doesn't mean anything. There's no guarantee the person at the other end is who I think I'm actually talking to. The instant any Red-Flags go up about it, I'll cut the cord... but for now having some random interweb hottie say she thinks I'm funny and cute kinda feels good. My fragile ego is being fed, at least for the moment... and that can't be a bad thing. Even if nothing pans out with this interaction (and I have serious doubts that it will or ever could...), at least I might have a fraction more self-confidence on the other-side than I did when it began. Keyan Farlander
I'm finding everything just boring these days. Work, hobbies, exercise, relaxation. I'm so bored I want to scream. But I already tried that and it was boring.
