Ctrl Alt Del
In an exclusive interview with Hideo Kojima, the creator of Metal Gear Solid series, has made complains about 50GB BD not been sufficient. The Metal Gear Solid producer considers the Blu Ray disc too small and that they had to make compromises in order to put the game on the 50GB BD. According to Hideo, the programmers had to compress some parts in the game to save disc space. Kojima : I am not satisfied with the quality yet, however...there isn't enough space. Interviewer: Not enough space on... Blu-ray? Kojima: Yes.(laughs). Not enough space. Source: N4G Original Source: http://hatimaki.blog110.fc2.com/blog-entry-376.html Holy****! 50 GB is not enough space! I wonder if he's not bluffing. But that surely kills any hope that it'll be released for the 360. Sony won.
Corinthian
Sony won the war before the battle started. MGS4 was going to be a PS3 exclusive since it's been announced. Hell, Snake Eater is STILL a PS Exclusive.

Lantzen
You know that games to the console take more space then things to PC ? And about the large space in MG4 is that they wont compress (Not sure if this is the english word) the sound files to mp3, so the sound is most of that space. Killwithhonor
Its actually, the sounds are nothing compared to amount of rendered videos they use.. which will probably be alot to explain the story which is why the game would be so big, its not usually the game files that take up alot of space but the videos themselves since they are the best quality and saved under different qualities for different tvs, hd and whatnot. And they have already announced that the japaneses version won't contain english voices and vice-versa. As far as we're told, MGS will keep it's tradition of not using any CG on the game. Only real time graphics.
Rabish Bini
That sorta ruins my chances of gettin a sequal to one of my fav game lines, since I hav a 360. Those games are second only to my love of the Warlords Battlecry series.
True_Avery
It looks like an OK game so far. I wont judge completely until I play it. I am curious as to if they will have to split it into two disks if they keep adding content. What I can say is that it wont single handily save the middle-finger to the consumer known as the PlayStation 3 as it is being hyped up to be. I love my PlayStation and PlayStation 2, but there is not a place in my heart, or my media station, for that... insult to the consumer.
Da_man
50G?!! I mean...damn, that is a whole ****ing lot. Oblivion is a huge game, and it runs on one disk with 34G, I think. I think kojima is bluffing. 50G is, what, KoToR 2 and Oblivion combined? HL2 doesn't even measure up to it in disk space, and it had 4 other games on the orange box, on one CD. Damn. Thgis isn't some sick April fools joke is it?
