"So what now? Should we continue towards the base or head back to the ship?"

Zarena hitched up the sleeves of her jacket. "We hide the bodies. Can't have another patrol finding them." She shot a glance at the Sith soldier the rest of the group seemed to have at their mercy. "And if no-one's got any objections I say we add this one to the body count."

She left her remarks to sink in as she crouched above one of the dead Sith, linking her arms with the body's and bending her own so that the body's armpit was nestled at her elbow. Slowly, she edged back, dragging the body through into the bushes where it would be harder to see.

"And if no-one's got any objections I say we add this one to the body count."

Jaq stared at the Sith soldier. He didn't believe in killing prisoners, nor was he going to let this man inform his acquaintences.

He walked up to the Sith, and pulled out his blaster rifle. "You better hope the first one knocks you out!"

He whacked the edge of the weapon against the man's head, knocking him out cold. He dragged the unconcious victim, following Zarena's example.

Noticing the others, Aeran grabbed a couple of sith bodies with each arm and started to drag them towards the foliage.

He then noticed Jaq's treatment of the prisoner.

"Yeah umm.... better gag him and tie him up, if we dont want to be found a Sith singing 'hes a jolly good fellow' in a bush wont be a good way of remaining covert." He finished saying, looking around.

The clouds had closed in, and the sun had gone, it looked like the weather was going to change.

(Hope you dont mind the weather emoting, just thought it would make a nice change)

"Yeah." Thryyn agreed with Aeran as he unslung his rifle from around his shoulders. He looked down at the knife in his sheath before looking at the rest of the group.

"So, anybody mind if we bring him out of his misery?" He asked the group.

((Sorry about how late I am... I'm at a Condo with my Grandparents.. and then school starts soon...))

"So, anybody mind if we bring him out of his misery?"

"You kidding. I'm still feeling abit woozy after that surgical procedure you conducted!"

He took the knife and layed his coat on the ground. He got rid of that annoying cloth-belt thing attached to it and wrapped it around the soldiers mouth. "Finally found a use for that thing..." Jaq said, as he wore his coat over his Mandalorian armor. He dragged him into a secluded area in the bushes, and tied him to a tree.

"[You're] kidding. I'm still feeling abit woozy after that surgical procedure you conducted!"

Thyyn raised his hands. "Hey! We needed information, and we needed it fast! If you have a better method of getting info out of hostiles as fast as we just did, you're welcome to it!"

He looked at the Sith Soldier bound to the tree and threw his knife.

Thwack!

It embeded itself right next to the soldier, holding the gag extruding from his mouth.

"There, this should work well"

(I dont have that school problem since I just left it, Ill be about until January, where I got basic training in the British Army)

Aeran felt slightly sorry for the soldier; there was nothing worse than knowing that your brother-in-arms were dead or had abandoned you, still, every soldier takes a gamble when he signs his life away, and this soldier just happened to catch the short straw.

"Just do whatever you need to do, we need to move off soon, dont know about those damn Jedi, but I like to keep up a pace." He said to Thyrrn mainly.

((Basic for the British Army? Have fun! (If that can be had in the Army!) ))

"Just do whatever you need to do, we need to move off soon, don't know about those damn Jedi, but I like to keep up a pace."

"Definitely." Thryyn agreed. "The sooner we get there, the sooner we can get back to the Glider, the sooner we can finish this damn mission." Thryyn paused a moment before continuing. "Why the hell did I agree to do this?

"Whenever the rest of you are ready." Thryyn said, gesturing his intent to continue. "I'd like to be on the move soon."

Thryyn looked down at the ground as he heard the rest of the party moving about before drawing out his com link.

Flicking the power switch on he spoke into it, "Kevak, this is Thryyn, what is you're status? Over."

(Yeah, it will be hard, but atleast Ill be a trained soldier in about a year's time :p)

Aeran finished concealing the bodies when he heard Thyrrn.

"Definetly gotta agree, in the war days we would destroy a republic patrol, hide the bodies, move on in the space of less than 4 minutes, probably the same for you marines." He said.

He suddenly remembered the battle of dxun, back in the Republic days, he remembered the suicidal charges soldiers went on the massive kill and death ratio, nearly 10 men for every mandalorian slain, Aeran was glad that his squad didnt suffer as badly, because it ordered it against charging and instead engaging the enemy with ranged weapons, although he caused some enemy casualties, the Republic high command nearly executed him for refusing to let his squad attack....

(Just thought Id post another little piece of his past since no one has really typed much apart from Knight)

"I hear yah, I think we're about done here." She cast her eye over the scene. It would seem a little untidy, but then the rest of the forest wasn't exactly spotless either. "Let's get going."

---

"Take him outside... and kill him."

Evelyn frowned. "The Jedi do not kill their prisoners. If he is a traitor, he is no longer a danger if he cannot communicate with the Sith. Tie him up in cargo if you must, but I will not have us descending to the level of the Sith."

"Tie him up in cargo if you must, but I will not have us descending to the level of the Sith."

Kevak frowned from inside his helmet.

"I'm sorry Evelyn but it must be done. Its not just Sith that do this, Jedi do it too you can ask Bail about it. Bail and I don't get along but we both understand what we must do with Jojo here and that's kill him. In the rare chance that we fail they'll torture Jojo like there's no tomarrow, killing him will end his suffering."

Jojo jolted up at Kevak's response.

"Evelyn please... d-don't let him d-do this to m-me" Jojo began to shake.

Without warning Jojo pulled out his blaster and laughed slightly.

"If you think I'm going anywhere with you two, you've got another thing coming." Jojo said aiming his blaster at them.

In his other hand he held a thermal detonator, clearly Jojo wasn't going down without a fight.

"If any of you move I'll blow us all up, now put your weapons down"

Kevak puts his Vibrosword on the ground, then the took his saber and threw it right at the detonator knocking it out of Jojo's hand. Kevak caught it and put in on the ground. Kevak grab the arm with the gun and punched down on the elbow breaking Jojo's arm.

"GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH" Jojo screamed in pain as he dropped the blaster.

Kevak took Jojo's other arm and put it behind his back. Kevak pushed Jojo foward still keeping his grip on Jojo's arm forcing him to walk out of the Glider.

Kevak threw Jojo to the ground and before he could say another word Kevak sliced his head off.

"Kevak, this is Thryyn, what is you're status? Over."

"This is Kevak, I've just killed our spy. Is our mission to investigate that Sith base still on, Over"

((My good friend Nymf gave me permission to control Jojo, I hope you like the way Jojo went down Nymf))

Aeran decided to beat Thyrrn to the bullet.

"Yes Sir the mission is still a go, we've cleaned up what remains of the ambush around here, we're all ready to move off.

And how did you manage to kill the prisoner without the Jedi stepping in?" He asked, before chucking the comm to Thyrrn.

"Strange that, during the war when the jedi were in charge we never killed any prisoners of war, even if they were Sith masters or slaves infused by the dark powers to do their lords will, as you can imagine, even though we won, we paid a price especially after battle where a new recruit would suddenly start firing on all of us lot, I have to admit, its another reason I followed Revan with the rest of the army; we were sick of the enemy remaining after we had conquered a planet, we wanted to completly wipe them all out, every last remnant so our soldier's lives were not in danger, or so our Sith Masters told us."

Evelyn twitched a little, an angry undercurrent rippling beneath he normally calm voice. "'Jedi do it too?' Only before they fall to the Dark Side. We will succeed, so there's no need to fake concern for Jojo's wellbeing when you're the one who plans to kill him."

"Evelyn please... d-don't let him d-do this to m-me"

Evelyn looked from Jojo, to Kevak, and back again. But when she looked back, Jojo was brandishing a gun, a thermal detonator visible in the dim lighting of the Blade Glider.

"If any of you move I'll blow us all up, now put your weapons down"

Evelyn held her saber steady. But before she could act, Kevak threw his saber at Jojo, knocking the detonator away, before moving in to grab him.

She watched Kevak march him away, but didn't follow. And though she believed no-one else could hear her, she spoke aloud, almost sadly. "Jojo might have lived if he wasn't such a fool..."

There is no death, she reminded herself, there is the Force.

Kevak looked down at the body of Jojo.

"I'm sorry it had to be like this but you left me with no other choice."

"Yes Sir the mission is still a go, we've cleaned up what remains of the ambush around here, we're all ready to move off.

And how did you manage to kill the prisoner without the Jedi stepping in?

It was Aeran's voice he heard in the comlink instead of Thryyn.

"Its just like the Sith training Aeran... find the Republic soldier hidden under the sith armor, Kevak replied to Aeran hoping he remembered that challenge, "Thryyn tell the group to stay put, I'll be back down there in a few minutes, Kevak out"

He looked around and saw Shara talking to Adrana and Erik so he walked up to them. He was also quite impressed that Shara knew some Mando'a.

"I appologize to the three of you that you all had to witness the kyr'am of Jojo but Shara we still have a mission to complete," said Kevak as he began to walk back to Aeran and the others. As he walked Evelyn's words still buzzed around in his head.

"We will succeed, so there's no need to fake concern for Jojo's wellbeing when you're the one who plans to kill him."

He contacted her through the force, "That's where you're wrong Evelyn, I was concerned I just didn't show it. If you think for one second I actually enjoyed killing him than you're wrong. I may have this title of Sith but I'm different from the rest of them... you wouldn't understand if I told you anyway."

He finally reached the spot he was last at, "You guys did a nice job cleaning up here but we've got some more Sith to meet"

"Thryyn tell the group to stay put, I'll be back down there in a few minutes, Kevak out"

"Roger that, Thryyn out." Thryyn spoke into the comlink after catching it awkwardly from Aeran's toss.

"All right, people!" Thryyn said, hoping his voice would carry enough. "We're staying put for now, however, once Kevak and Shara," his tongue stumbled over the relatively unknown name. "Get here, we'll be making our way to that Fort."

He did a quick look around of the area they had stood around in, his eyes straying over to the Sith that Jaq had insisted upon keeping alive. "If there's anything you need to take care of, now's the time!"

No sooner were the words out of his mouth, than Kevak appeared in the clearing they were using.

"You guys did a nice job cleaning up here but we've got some more Sith to meet""

"You say it like we shouldn't know it." Thryyn chuckled. "Alright, people!" He said again. "It's time to move out, check out those 'Sith' we first engaged and find out what the hell they were! Move, we have a war to participate in!"

Evelyn felt a faint tingle in her ear, and once again Kevak's voice rang in her head.

"That's where you're wrong Evelyn, I was concerned I just didn't show it. If you think for one second I actually enjoyed killing him than you're wrong. I may have this title of Sith but I'm different from the rest of them... you wouldn't understand if I told you anyway."

"To not care and to enjoy are different things, and I never for one moment would suggest the latter. You, perhaps, do not understand me either if you would jump to such conclusions."

She breathed deeply. There is no emotion... She had decided not to step outside quite yet. Though she suspected Kevak would be there, and perhaps that a crowd may be forming, she decided it would be best to think through her next piece of advice.

If Jojo informed them of the location of the Glider, it may be best to either move or prepare a stronger defence. If we move, it will risk alerting them to our movements, but if we stay, we risk facing a stronger ground attack.

After a moment's consideration, she decided to search for Bail, for he, she assumed, would have a better knowledge of the working of the ship than she. The ship must have a... scanner of some sort. Perhaps we can check if anything is coming our way.

Bail was in the cockpit, and watched how his friend got executed. He did appriciate that Kevak did it, so he wouldn't have had to done it himself. He looked at the body and sighed.

T5-M4 entered the cockpit.

"T5, good thing you came by. The status is approving, and I want you to go and make the final installments of the shields, and after that make sure that the life-support is working properly. While I'll go and fix the last of the engine."

"Beep-beep woopbeep-op beep."

Bail left the cockpit, and saw a Evelyn wandering around. "You look troubled. What's on your mind, miss?" he asked carefully.

((Oh, and C. Ninja, thank you and great job! I loved it:)))

"You look troubled. What's on your mind, miss?"

Evelyn looked up at Bail, a little glad to have run into him. "I was just looking for you."

She took a few seconds to compose herself before she started to speak.

"There's every chance Jojo informed the Sith of the Glider's position. He seemed to show no regard for his own safety, so he would have had no problem leading them to attack us even though he was on board. So I was wondering if you could use the scanners to detect any ships or ground forces within the vicinity. If they're coming to us, we might have to move or cloak the ship."

Shara winced as she heard the screams from inside the ship. Then suddenly there was silence, she knew what had happened Kevak had killed Jojo, it was for the best after all.

She turned to see Kevak walking towards her, "I appologize to the three of you that you all had to witness the kyr'am of Jojo but Shara we still have a mission to complete,"

Shara nodded grimly, there was death in war. And she hadn't really liked Jojo anyway, he had really rubbed her the wrong way when they had first met.

Silently she followed Kevak back to the group in the forest. "You guys did a nice job cleaning up here but we've got some more Sith to meet" She nodded in agreement, there was no trace of what had just transpired here not that long ago.

"Alright, people!" He said again. "It's time to move out, check out those 'Sith' we first engaged and find out what the hell they were! Move, we have a war to participate in!"

"Great!" Shara said grinning again, "This whole thing has been getting dull. Time for some more action." She glanced around at the rest of the party, noticing the Sith that had been tortured earlier, was still breathing. "What are we going to do with him?" She asked, gesturing her thumb toward him. "He can't walk yet... Can he?"

Kevak looked over to the Sith Trooper that Shara was talking about, he was the poor fellow that had been tortured before. He walked over to the soldier and picked him up throwing him over his shoulder.

"I doubt he can but we don't want him running away, besides we'll need him to open the door. It'll be much easier than wasting a thermal detonator or causing a huge explosion. Once he's opened the door I want him killed quietly," Kevak looked over to the sith "If you give away our positions I will make sure your death is slow and painful."

He took point for the squad and began advancing in the direction of the the base

"Shara I want you right next to me, see if you can spot any sith with your sniper, the rest of you fall in line behind us," Kevak ordered seeing that Graff lacked the leadership experience he had.

"I'm pretty sure they know where we are. They knew we were coming so they would most likely have discovered us by now even if Jojo never gave the location. The scanners took pretty much damage during the landing, but I guess we could activate them, it's better then nothing. And the shields are soon at 100%, and the gun turrets are working fine, so I guess we could stand an attack. But I need to fix the engine to make it flyable again." Bail grabbed his comm-link.

"T5, could please activate the scanners, and if possible strengthen them?"

"Beep beep booooop!" Bail put back the comm-link on his belt. And started to walk towards the engine room, but stopped and turned around.

"You seem upset... Anything you want to talk about?"

Aeran listened to Thyrrn, and slightly wondering what Kevak meant by the Republic Soldier under the Sith Armour, it touched a nerve deep in him.

"Alright.... as soon as that door is open Ill remove our prisoner and conceal him into a nearby bush." He said keeping a closer eye on the prisoner, despite Thyrrn and Kevak being there Aeran didnt feel confident about the other group members.. they just didnt seem... hardened or ready to tackle a hostile jungle enviroment.

He then fell in behind alongside Thyrrn.

"So urr... what did you do before the Mandalorian wars break out? You already in the army or was one of the millions conscripted in?" He asked curiously while scanning the prisoner with one eye and the surrounding jungle with the other.

Shara nodded curtly, and fell into step alongside Kevak. She kept her sniper rifle out, always alert.

She was pleased that Kevak felt she was good enough for him to trust her like this. She didn't let it get to her head though se had a job to do, Kevak and everyone was depending on her.

She shouldn't have been so surprised though, her father was Mandalorian. There was Mando'a blood in her veins, even if people didn't realize it at first.

There was a rustle in the trees and she trained her scope on the canopy, stopping in her tracks. After a few seconds a small furry creature jumped out of the tree and into another one. "Haar'chak." She swore sharply, but quietly under her breath so not to disrupt anything or anybody.

Zarena nodded, and shuffled into line. She peered through her visor into the trees and gripped her blaster rightly in her right hand, but for the moment, saw nothing.

Evelyn nodded. She had never studied ships, but she could grasp the basics of what Bail had said. He seemed to be making his exit when he turned to look at her.

"You seem upset... Anything you want to talk about?"

She twitched an eyebrow upwards, the rest of her face perfectly still until she opened her mouth to speak. "I am fine, Bail. I should likely return to my meditations. Contact me if the need arises."

And with that she departed for the bunks, to sit cross-legged atop her mattress and bathe in the ebbs and flows of the Force.

"So urr... what did you do before the Mandalorian wars break out? You already in the army or was one of the millions conscripted in?"\

"I really didn't do much before the war, Aeran." Thryyn said, having warmed up to the Sith far more than he ever thought he would. "I enlisted in the Marine Corps to get off Rydex Three, my homeworld. It's one of those planets that makes the Mandalorian Wars look like a vacation.

"The Gang wars are horrible there, people will kill just about anybody else if they think it would yield them anything, even oxygen. The schools there aren't that good, it's almost better to have no formal education than a Rydexian one!" Thryyn allowed a smile for the joke that was oft told on his homeworld.

"So, when the recruiter came around, I enlisted faster than you could say 'durasteel'. Went through basic, then was stationed on Serroco... and was one of the lucky ones who received the evacuation orders in time."

"I really don't want to talk about this that much."Or now. Thryyn said, rarely heard emotion seeping into his voice. "I'd better check the other flank now." He said, beating a hasty retreat.
