JD-Rom
Do the child models have attack animations? 'Cause if not, it might be nice if Jak had to do some fairly mundane errands with some puzzles as sidequests in the vision. If the model has attack animations, though, you could arm him with a Training Lightsaber (Custom Short Lightsaber)/Stun Pistol (Custom Sonic Pistol)/Practice Blade (Custom Short Sword) and turn the fairly mundane errands into seemingly mundane errands with puzzles in them, and after the vision, you could place an event in one of the areas of the game wherein you could retrieve his childhood items and give the player an option of showing them to Jak so that he could enhance them and make them upgradeable, stun-inducing terrors. Just a thought.
Marius Fett
The "vision" as you put it, will be Jaks memory of his father attacking him. Though after the mod is released I may do an expansion, which covers his Jedi training.
Sithspecter
I'll check and see if the child has fighting animations.
Inyri
Don't count on it. Did you ever see a child fight in either game?
Sithspecter
Nope, no fighting animations. Just walking and running. Not even a security or mine animation.
Marius Fett
Does it have animations for falling over?
Sithspecter
No. Just standing, idle, walking, running.
Marius Fett
Ah. That could pose a problem. I'll have to think of a way around this.
Sithspecter
A BINK video could be done, if you just wanted to move the kid around a bit/get slapped and fall down.
Exile007
You could fade it to black when doing the thing were Jak fights his father. Then, while still faded, play the sound of force lightning or something. Fade back in, and "oh my gosh, Jak killed his father!"
Marius Fett
A BINK video could be done, if you just wanted to move the kid around a bit/get slapped and fall down. I'm even worse at animation etc than I am with modelling... Do you know anyone who knows how to make these movies? Or do you know yourself? Inyri
Make a video and use RAD Tools to convert it to bink format.
Sithspecter
I could make one, but Master Zionosis would be your best choice.
Papership
Easy! First person perspective flashbacks - from Yak's p.o.v! You could for example use an invisible T3M4 npc to film with since he's the right height. Am I good or what Jak is angry at the sight of it, and you have to calm him down to stop him turning to the dark side and killing all the Sith. ...why would you do this? WHY? Let him kill! KILL!? ~Paper~
JD-Rom
...why would you do this? WHY? Let him kill! KILL!? [slaps Papership in a comical fashion] You should never interfere with Jak's training to become a pure-hearted Jedi! ...Revan should. ...IF DDD gives us a choice, which is highly probable. Marius Fett
I could make one, but Master Zionosis would be your best choice. Bah, you gusy both have a lot on your plates already, so i'll try and learn myself.

Marius Fett
Right, unfortunately i've been busy with school for the last week so I haven't been able to work on this. Now, however I have some time. I'm going to start on Jaks quest when I finish writing this. The quest will go something like this: After you find Jak, you enter the Sith Academy. Upon finding Tethors body, Jak becomes angry. You can either calm him, or kill the Sith who killed Tethor for DS points. Then, you have a few levels of just talking, like with other party members. You will learn of Jaks past etc and about him in general. After say 5(?) levels, you will meet Jaks Master. Though he isn't exactly as Jak remembers... Ghost Down
Excuse me for being lazy and not reading the whole thread, but are you gonna reskin Jak?
Marius Fett
I will probably do a custom skin for him yeah, though that will be done at a later stage.
