"Again you think too little of me. The Death Guard are Elite Stormtroopers, answering directly to me. They are trained with killing Jedi and other Force users in mind. The two I sent have particular experience in killing Avalonians." Virul explained. "You wouldn't!" The governor exclaimed. "Yes, I would. I could order them to slaughter the rest of that entourage as well with no remorse."

"If we must stay, then there is much more pressing issue than the Blood King. The New Empire has begun landing troops. Given the size of their forces, we will need reinforcements from the Republic." Komad replied. "Swords and ancient wisdom mean nothing to them. I sense something else with the Imperials, something far more deadly."

Virul then sent a transmission to the Death Guards on Amshrey. "If you find the governor's daughter in the enclave, kill her. See to it personally."

"And what kind of Avalonians? Jedi Avalonians?" Tyrannus laughed with genuine amusement. "They will not use the Force. Ever since the master arrived, he has been followed. What do you think will happen? Definitely not Jedi things" He waved his hands in a mocking gesture. "Oh ho big suprise waiting."

The walking was longer than by speeder but they couldn't risk going back and finding hordesmen there. Jun-la stopped her party at a fork in the road and turned to look at which way to go. The vegetation was dense and made it difficult to see. Without another word, she gave a huge leap up to the first branch. She kept going until she was near the top. From there she was able to see where they had to go.

Getting down was easier as she jumped and swung down. She landed with a perfect stance. She caught her breath and pointed in a direction, "Enclave is that way."

"Very impressive. I haven't seen anyone jump like that since the tournament," Ken-Lui said.

Jun-la was embarrassed at the compliment but she didn't let it show, "Practice. We better double time it."

Matton who had been silent while she was jumping over trees managed to say, "Well I have a bad feeling about this."

"What do you mean?" Li-Shang asked, curious.

"Something is coming and it is not reinforcements. They may be heading to the enclave," Matton replied.

Jun-la peered at Matton with curiousity. It was the first time he voiced his instincts that had been pricked by the Force. She knew that he really had no love for the Jedi but he was sensitive which was why she trained him the basics. He had different senses though and perhaps the presence of Ken-Lui and Li-Shang may bring those to light. She voiced none of her thoughts though and replied, "Then we best get moving. Can you and Li-Shang keep up if we use speed Ken-Lui?"

"We'll see who needs to keep up," Ken-Lui replied.

Jun-la nodded and beckoned Matton to use his force speed ability. She did the same and began to run. She ran faster and faster. She didn't need to stop and see if her companions were following. She knew they were there.

Tiye managed to find a speeder and was loading everyone into the speeder when she said, "Quit thinking like a Mando'a when our companions said your world. You have to think larger than yourself or your puny clan." She was annoyed at the Mandalorian for thinking so selfishly. He had spent enough time in hers and Andros' presence to grasp a few basics.

She adjusted the setting and checked to make sure if everyone was aboard. Son-ja had just finished a perimeter search. She said, "You might want to adjust the sensors. We may find some friendlies still in the forest."

Tiye nodded and activated the thrusters. They were off.

(@JM12:Don't take this the wrong way, but I'm not entirely fond of the idea that Avalonians and their enemies are that much better and more important than the troubles of the rest of the galaxy. I understand they are important and you've worked very hard on them, but they seem too arrogant, too high-and-mighty, which is fine if its depicted as a flaw, but less if they really are. Just a bit of honest constructive criticism)

"You think Avalonian Jedi are superior to other Jedi, and that they can hold their own against two Death Guards? You're dead wrong. No lightsaber nor sword of theirs can penetrate their armor. In fact, the only things that could, would be explosives, or lightning. Or possibly they could drop a starfighter on them. The point is, nothing any one person, no matter how strong in the Force or combat trained they are, does to them could possibly harm them." Virul told Tyrannus, getting his point across.

Garrick sat quietly for a moment in the speeder.

Tiye had a point, and perhaps he was going into this with a very arrogant air, but the Mandalorian people generally only care for the welfare of the Mandalorian people. It was the sense of clanship, of the Empire, all Mand'oa thought about their clan and empire, the outsiders were usually enemies, and allies outside were few. But they still had them.

Then he thought of his former-captors, and how his pure intent was to destroy them at first. Now, his ideals had changed because of them, not to mention that he had been spared from a life of imprisonment or death and been saved from being killed by nasty hordesmen.

He wasn't exactly being thankful or appreciative, was he?

Garrick nodded to himself on that and thought on how he was acting, and immediatley his rash actions shamed him.

"I'm sorry. Not much else to say really, I guess old habits die hard, don't they? I will try to think more of the others outside of my clan."

Garrick then went back into thought, but not too far so as to forget the outside world. He still kept an eye out for whatever was out there, and he also watched the others in the speeder.

These people are not my enemies right now, and I don't need more, I guess I should begin treating them like allies... Thought Garrick.

Konig bashed another jungle-infested tree out of the way, and then he checked their position to make sure he was on course.

They were, and right now, they needed to prepare something special.

"Bevorin, do you have the 'package' ready?"

Bevorin grabbed a duracrete box from his large pack.

"Yes, Konig, right here."

He put his hand in the box, and pulled out a small tree, and creature attached to it.

A ysalamiri, a creature that blocked out the force, and within a radius, disable a Jedi's connection to the force.

"This will cloak our position to them. We will be upon them soon..."

"Did anyone else notice that? Sensing an army approaching, and then nothing. Come to think of it, I can't feel the presence of any of you in the Force, or even myself." Komad said to the others in the room. "Neither can I. I'm surprised the New Empire would think to do that." Reyvan commented. "Do what?" Kalla asked, noticing her connection to the Force severed, or hopefully blocked, as well. "I think they have ysalamiri with them. It's a creature from Myrkr that blocks a Jedi's connection to the Force. The more there are, the bigger the area of effect is, unless they have some way to amplify it." Komad explained.

((I was trying to create tension between Tyrannus and Virul since that is pretty much the way of the Sith. Tyrannus would be arrogant since his family always thought that their idea of 'pure blood' was the true Avalonian way.))

Tyrannus just stared at Virul with an unscrutable smile, "So you say. You think that by having the greater firepower makes you stronger. This is true but don't ever underestimate the power of those who have not trained in use of the Force. They are quite resilient." It was his way to cast doubt upon everything. That was how he snared so many younger warriors into his fold. They learned the techniques that would only be used by Rashikians. He never conceived that an Avalonian would use them to fight back.

Jun-la noticed her speed ebbing. Somethign wasn't right, almost as if there was something blocking the Force. She resolved this using her own reserves of energy and contacted her brother through their special telepathic bond, Tulre what is happening?

Tulre had been listening to the conversation heard his sister's voice in his head. He put a hand automatically to concentrate. He replied, Ysalamiri. Where are you?"

Jun-la processed what she was hearing and replied, Half a click south. Matton and Two of our visitors are with us.

There's a tentative plan to rescue the governor. Riyusaan said to wait.

Good thing. There's trouble on the way.

I hear you. Better hurry. I think an invasion is on the way.

Jun-la managed to take a brief glimpse around. They had just managed to enter the clearing to the back entrance. She waited until everyone else was there before asking to be admitted. We're here.

Tulre snapped his head up and said, "Three have arrived and the rest are coming."

Katarina replied, "Not a problem. Some people see beyond their own home. Besides it's hard to acknowledge someone who destroyed your family as father." She then looked and saw that they had made it back. "We have returned."

Garrick nodded at what Katarina had said, though he remained silent as they had reached their destination. He also noticed that Captain Durrel of his personal gaurd and around a platoon of Mandalorian commandoes had begun building defenses in the area.

Garrick hopped out and began to see what had happened in his absence.

Konig walked slowly along the green path, Bevorin not far behind. He then switched his visor from normal vision to infra-red, immediatley showing numerous bodies of heat not too far away.

"Bevorin, I think we've caught the target blind, it's time for our ysalamiri's special ability."

Konig withdrew a small syringe from his pack, and he stuck it into the ysalamiri's tough skin right below it's neck. He then withdrew a bit of greenish liquid.

"Ysalamiri have their anti-force ability in their blood, if this mission comes to worse, we are to use the ysalamiri's blood to disable our targets force capability. They will be like children without their precious force."

Bevorin nodded, taking out his own syringe,"We shall move soon."

"Agreed."

"I'd say we're both equally blinded by our own arrogance. The difference is I'm willing to admit it." Virul calmly replied, showing both of them to be at fault.

"We should get out of here. The New Empire rarely even make use of ysalamiri on the battlefield. The only Imperial soldiers I know of who will do that are Death Guards, but I thought only Darth Mortis had ever used them." Komad commented.

"What are Death Guards exactly? I've never heard of them." Andorra asked, curious as to why Kalla's father sounded so afraid at the very mention of them.

"They're a Jedi's worst nightmare. Their armour is impenetrable by any blaster or melee weapon, and lightsabers can't defend you against their blasters, and they know exactly what to expect from us. If you see one, and if you're lucky, you never will, don't try to fight it, just run." Komad explained.

"Of course, they're not without weakness. Though their armour is protected from typical weapons, it is extremely conductive. Even a simple shock would fry them alive. They're eyepieces are naturally less protected as well, and if you've got explosives handy, those will certainly work. It would take a few, but it'll work." Reyvan added, though he feared them just as much as Komad.

"Smartest thing you've said since you pledged allegiance to our master," Tyrannus replied. It was his way of admitting how right Virul was but like other members of his family, he was too proud to admit it. "Perhaps it would be best if you leave her be. This one would spark wrath from a very powerful enemy and he has no qualms about killing."

A little lie on Tyrannus' part. He knew the Starlighter family well. The girl's brother didn't like to kill but he wouldn't hesitate if his sister were harmed. Though he would try to save her first. Little details that Virul should find out hte hard way.

The ship came out of hyperspace in a region unknown to Greea. She looked at her charts unable to make of it. Still this was where the assassin had come from. Perhaps Andros' sister was there. She began scanning, sending out the signal of the assassin's ship. She pryed the Force would give some clue.

**********

Weary as she was from her swim and run, Jun-la walked to the group. She said, "Yes we should fear them but also respect them. It is alright to be afraid of that which has been successful. Still we have things that they do not have."

Tonatius, glad that his other half had returned as well as Tiye, said, "This is true. You know this lightning ability. There is also chimenteki no sentou."

Garrick stood still as he watched the surrounding jungles, Durrel was listening to the conversation between the Jedi.

Garrick suddenly moved and walked over to Durrel.

"Captain, have the men set up EMP posts. I don't like the sound of 'Death Gaurds,' also, post a gaurd in our friend's compound, they will gaurd the flanks. Also, get Lieutenant Krek into one of these tall trees, he'll be a forward observer."

Durrel saluted, "Yes, Mand'alor..."

Garrick twitched,"No, just Garrick, I haven't earned that rank yet..."

"Alright...the men will be in position quickly.."

Garrick looked over at the jungle terrain again.

"I've gotta bad feeling about this..."

Konig watched small group of Jedi carefully through his helmet's advanced lenses.

Bevorin watched carefully as well,"Konig, I think the Mandalorians are acting on our presence...they seem to be preparing for a counter, unlike the Jedi."

Konig sighed,"If they knew we were here, Bevorin, they'd be spraying this area with enough blasterfire to burn the jungle down...but still, keep you're eyes open and your head clear. Those Jedi are completely unaware...this is almost disappointing."

Konig pulled up his DC-58 and loaded it with a gas canister round, or rather, a tear gas round. It would definately pushed these Jedi over the edge, as they were probably tired, confused, and scared due to their lack of the force. This would work to Konig's advantage.

Bevorin had taken aim as well, but with a live round, and aiming at a certain Mandalorian who was standing, staring directly at their position, without knowing.

Komad walked over to the Mandalorians to advise them further on fighting the Death Guard. "I recommend you also set up minefields; nothing short of explosives will crack their armour, and if you have nothing but your blaster left, go for the eyes." He told Durrel. The fact that all of these defenses were in place against the Death Guard specifically, and not the rest of the Imperial army, made them all the more intimidating, and with good reason. He had seen them slaughter twenty Republic Guardsmen in mere seconds, but spare him, just because he was the one Darth Mortis was after. But who was commanding the Death Guards this time? Virul, Dar, or someone else?

"Perhaps Master Komad we practice the basics of sentou," Jun-la suggested after changing her clothes. Since they had become soaked and torn by the river, it was best to get new ones. She was dressed now in pants and boots with a top that revealed her midriff. The sleeves extended into a pair of gloves with the fingers cut off and guantlets around the wrists. Lightweight and practical, she had no qualms about it.

She repeated her request and then explained, "Sentou doesn't quite follow the same rules as those of the Force."

It was Andros, her father who said, "Remember the ruins?"

Riyusaan decidedly agreed, "It is good for you to know the basics. For the three lines to stand up to your Blood King, you need to know more than what the Force has shown."

**********

Tiye had taken young Andros and Tonatius to help lay perimeter defenses. She had contacted her people who had begun making their way towards the enclave laying a series of traps. Some Belosians were with them and they startled a few of the Mandalorians. Thal, the one who led the others away and went to the leader of the group and said, "We have laid traps along the major access ways. Some ground, hover and a few aerial though I think you would be better suited for it."

Garrick watched Durrel as Komad spoke to him. He made no move to hinder any of the orders given to his Captain, because any advice would help.

The Death Gaurd didn't sound like a particularioly good fight.

Garrick began to wonder if standing in the middle of a clearing was the best idea.

Durrel began to create several mine details, this pleased Garrick, this showed that their Jedi friends showed at least a little strategic prowess.

Garrick looked at the jungle in front of him, and a small glint of light caught his eye. Years of war experience let him know exactly what it was.

He turned slowly, trying to act casually, becuase he knew that he would most certainly be killed if he made any fast movements, alerting the sniper, whoever he might be.

He walked slowly towards Tiye and her group, seeing as they were the closest, not mention, he knew their names.

He looked to Tiye and said as calmly as possible,"Excuse me, Tiye, but would it be alright if you could direct your comrades into the Enclave, and set up there. Outside is no longer safe. I'm afraid there is no other option."

Garrick hoped that Tiye would cooperate, he now wished that he hadn't been so arrogant earlier, that could affect her response. Right now he could only hope...

Konig looked closely at the Mandalorian that Bevorin was tracking.

Bevorin whispered in the comm,"I think he's unaware that we're here still."

Konig was doubtful,"I don't about that. He's walking too slowly to be casual."

"You sure?"

"Positive."

"I will not take the shot until they show a sign of knowledge of us."

Konig sighed, he remembered that Bevorin did not have the observant eye that he himself had. He could do nothing to influence the situation.

Yet.

"That's a good idea, but even if we had the time right now, it's impossible. Ysalamiri will block Sentou just as easily as the Force. Though, we don't need either to fight." Komad replied, activating his lightsabers. Blocking blaster bolts aside, there was little he really needed the Force for when he wielded them.

"Very well, though with my Death Guards on the planet, he'll be more worried about himself than her." Virul replied. "You win, Virul. I'll give you the codes to Avalon's strategic database. Just don't let those monsters harm my daughter." The Governor conceded. "You see, Tyrannus? She can be reasonable." Virul told Tyrannus with a smug smile on his face. He then opened communications with Konig and Bevorin. "Do not harm the governor's daughter. Anyone else is fair game." He said to them. "No!" Governor Starlighter shouted at Virul. "You made the deal for your daughter's life, noone else's. A word to the wise: never trust a Sith." Virul coldly told her.

The comm buzzed in Konig and Bevorin's helmets.

"Do not harm the governor's daughter. Anyone else is fair game."

"We understand, my Lord." Konig said.

He looked to Bevorin, who nodded to him as an affirmative.

Konig switched his grenade launcher rounds from gas...to frag. Konig leveled his sights with the small group that Komad Kaltas had gathered with. They were all bunched together, one frag would spread them apart...permanently. Now, he'd have to go the way of the hunter...he waited for a little bit longer.

Waiting for the perfect moment.

Tyrannus merely raised a brow at Virul as if he may have seen something he didn't and was asking if Virul was sure. The governor was a smart woman and if anything her brothers would find a way to find her. "Way of the Sith eh? The sith'ari would have done better to hold her as leverage for a bigger prize."

**********

Andros felt distress hit him like a knife. Though faint from the ysalamari, he could could distinguish the pain of his sister. She was worried and fearful, something that was odd with her. He figured her to be in terrible pain or backed up to a point that she didn't knoe what to do any more. He only hoped that his brothers, both adopted and blood kin would keep reasonable heads. Distracted he said, "I must find Tavarin and the twins," and went off to search for them.

Jun-la weary but full of fight merely said calmly, "As I said it not exactly follows the rules. From within. See past the Force and you see your spirit." She was ready to acquiese that Komad had his own ideas. As her elders had done generations before, she was trying to give the best possible advantages for survival.

She left to go prepare, followed by Matton and the visitors from Miako. They lingered with the exception of Riyusaan who disappeared with a flash of lightning in order to do what was needed. Her brother came up and not perturbed by her new outfit said, "Perimeter defenses are set."

"Well we can't all stay holed in here. Some will have to go on teh outside," Matton said.

"Agreed, but it is a matter of whether or not the sacrifice would be worth it should these Death Guards get in a lucky shot." Jun-la was walking towards a natural defense in the mountain walls. A Shreyite came up and asked a question to which she responded. In Basic she said, "The young and old will be herded in to the caves and make their way back deep into the hinterlands. If anything the elements are nasty on armour there."

"Good idea but what about the others?" Tulre asked.

"We came to help you," Ken-Lui said, "We will stay and fight."

His companions nodded their agreement.

Jun-la replied, "Then we move towards the gates and be ready."

**********

Tiye looked at the Mandalorian and said, "Hiding too many gives a bigger target. Besides they know what they risk." She had motioned to the Belosian who were disappearing into the forest with the years of practice they possessed.

"Indeed," commented Tahl, "We may have a chance with element of suprise."

Garrick clenched his teeth.

"We do not have the element of surpise. That much is lost. But if we can get your leaders into the Enclave, we can draw out the attackers. We have no time. We are being watched."

He sighed, resigning himself to Tiye's idea.

"Fine. Look at the bushes three meters from a large boulder near the clearing. Look for a flash of light. I will move to the flank. What do you plan on doing?"

Garrick kept his casual stance, best that he could.

He began sending coordinates to Durrel, who, hopefully, would act with disgression.

(@JM12: Just clearing up some confusion, if a Jedi would be like a D&D character multiclassing as a Fighter/Wizard, would a Sentou user be more like the Monk class?

@Both of you: I'll be gone to Italy from the 12th to the 21st, and to keep the story going, do you think the two of you could argue amongst yourself which of my characters to take over until I get back?)

"I think I understand." Komad replied. It would make sense that something like that would focus more on augmentation of physical ability, rather than manipulate one's surroundings as is typically done with the Force.

"She's still our prisoner, and no deal has been made for her freedom." Virul commented. "I am still capable of ransoming her back to them."

((If you noticed the names I used for the people from Miako, they are play ons to characters from Mortal Kombat. They are more agressive and if you noticed the descriptions of special abilities.))

Tahl, not put out by bad temper of the Mandalorian said, "We still have a chance. There is suprise. We have lived amongst the wild for centuries. Amshrey has its secrets but only those worthy shall know."

"Indeed," Tiye said, "You must remember that this is our home. We know the different regions and what is required to trek through them." She was hoping to make the Mandalorian understand what she was saying in that those who have experience on their ground have an advantage no matter how small.

Andros, knowing that this was a conversation best left between the three, left to find his master. He found her rallying with her brother, Matton and the strange people from Miako. He picked out Ken-Lui and Li-Shang falling in behind her and immediately strode up to them. He asked, "Master what is the plan for this battle?"

Jun-la stopped to look at her padawan. It would be dangerous to keep him here but the trail towards the sanctuaries was even worse. Still it was a lesser of two evils. She explained, "We make a stand by fighting here but we need to get those not in combat to make for the mountain passes to the hinterlands."

"You wish me to go with them?" Andros asked astutely.

"They will need help in protection."

Andros had seen some of the creatures that inhabited the different worlds of Avalon. Some were not the nicest creatures around particularly the straif cats. Though the Shreyites were capable warriors, these were children and elders. He agreed, "I will go then. Perhaps Andorra should go with as well?"

"We must ask," Jun-la replied. She searched out Kalla knowing that she would find the pair together. She approached and laid out her plan, "In order to give a chance, we are sending the young and old into the mountain passes to the hinterlands. It is a long and dangerous way but it will give a chance. Would you be willing to go and help?"

**********

Tyrannus gave a look that was skeptical, "Okay but there is truly a bigger prize worth getting and that is not the brat of the governor." He leaned against the wall nonplussed by the blustering of Virul.

An aide came out and said, "My lords, we are picking up a signal. It is the ship of the assassin you sent," he directed the phrase to Virul.

Garrick nodded and sighed, accepting what Tahl and Tiye had said.

He had to admit to himself, that they were absolutley right, this is their land, they know it best. It would be wise to take their advice and do as they say. Even if he had to stoop down from his proud position, but in the end, it could be good for everyone, himself included.

"I should not have questioned your knowledge on this matter. You and your people would know this land best. My men and I will follow your lead. What are your orders?"

Garrick looked behind him again, trying to scout out the positions where the sniper..or snipers may be. He then called off the attack signal that he had sent to Durrel. He then retransmitted orders to obey the commands of Komad or any of his companions.

Konig watched Komad and his group carefully. He noticed that everyone was acting...in a strange manner. But that was just how Konig always thought.

Suddenly, Komad's group had gone into a much closer circle, and another person began conversing with them.

The Perfect Moment.

Konig squeezed the trigger and let the grenade fly.

"I don't care about the governor's daughter, I simply knew that the governor would." Virul replied, turning to his aide. "Excellent, the Rodian Jedi is mine."

(@JM12: Do you mind taking over Kalla and Andorra until the 21st? I'll be away in Italy until then)

"Get out of the way!" Komad shouted, spotting the grenade. After everyone managed to get clear, he commented. "They're close."

"Of course." Kalla replied. "Andorra needs to be kept safe."

((I could or we could put this on hold till you get back. I'll be busy these last two weeks. End of the quarter. Up to you))

Jun-la nodded, "Then go through that door," she pointed towards the rear of the enclave. Shreyites and Avalonians alike were making their way through it. "It leads into the mountains and the moutains lead to the hinterlands. Take the gear just inside. It gets very cold up there and difficult to climb."

Andros listened to every word. He then made a gesture for his sister to follow, "Come on Sis. Let's go."

Jun-la watched them go as the enclave emptied. Her senses became highly alert despite the dampening effect the ysalamari had on the Force. She heard the tell tale woosh of the grenade and moved away just as Komad shouted to move. She stood looking nonplussed at the matter. Her brother stood behind her followd by Matton who had his blaster ready in his hand along with a special rifle strapped to his back.

Jun-la agreed, "They are close." She then lifted her wrist comm and said, "Activate the defenses."

**********

Tahl heard the transmission and nodded at the Mandalorian. He then walked doubletime to where his second was waiting. He lifted his binoculars to peer out. He could make out the troopers that were a menace. "Fire Number One!" His shout rang out and his second repeated what was said.

Tiye watched as the planted detonators discharged in front of the advancing troopers. She said to the Mandalorian, "Better get some air support."

"So a Jedi comes to rescue the bastard daughter, the taint of my people," Tyrannus acknowledged. "Allow the ship to dock and then we can give a warm welcome."

(I was more assuming you and CQ would continue posting as usual. If that won't be the case, I guess it'll have to be put on hold.)

"I must applaud your ability at besting my assassin, Jedi, but if you think that one Jedi is enough to storm the heart of the New Empire, you're gravely mistaken. You're welcome to try, of course." Virul sent to Wrath's ship, certain that Wrath himself had been slain.

Kalla and Andorra quickly followed Andros inside the enclave for warmer clothes and climbing supplies. "It seems everywhere I go with safety in mind gets attacked sooner or later." Andorra commented, putting on a particularly warm-looking coat. "I know, but at least our time together is never dull." Kalla jokingly replied, evoking a smile from Andorra. The two of them then took the secret exit out of the Enclave, and into the mountains.

"We should try to take out the ysalamiri first, in order to restore connection to the Force." Komad said to Jun-la. "And if the Death Guards get too close, take out your lightsaber and go for the eyes."

Jun-la nodded. "Agreed if you want the Force." She spoke into her comm, "Activate shields and be prepared to let troops in and out."

"Affirmative," Tahl's voice came over the comm, "Best sentry look is on top of the lookouts."

"Roger that," Jun-la replied. She directed the Miako warriors to be ready to attack if the shields failed. She tossed a small device to Komad, "Tow cables. Will get up up there in a jiffy."

Garrick immediatley obeyed, sprinting to Durrel's position, who had already begun to dig in and prepare for the offensive.

"Captain! Get the jet troopers up and flying!! No time to waste, also, see if you can contact Admiral Barek, get some sort of support, any support! VODE AN"

Durrel nodded as a response, keying in his comm, and bringing in the airbourne.

Durrel looked to Garrick.

"Garrick, Admiral Barek cannot provide support, the battle above is becoming much fiercer, he fears he may have to retreat in order to come back with a larger force. The Imperials are giving a good fight!"

Garrick shook his head,"This is no good at all, tell him that retreat may be his only option, otherwise, we risk losing further support later. Transmit now, and get those damned jet troopers in the air!!"

Durrel saluted,"Yes sir!! Right away!"

Garrick jumped inside a nearby foxhole, remembering that cover was wise in a combat situation.

Konig cursed silently as the Jedi and his friends ran from the grenade.

"Bevorin, provide fire on the enemy, take down as many as possible from here. I will go and engage in close-combat, I will stand more of a chance there."

Bevorin nodded and began firing his rifle into the numerous groups of people trying to flee from the battle.

Konig suddenly heard several loud explosions...and a growing number of crunching trees.

He looked behind him, and noticed that the invasion force had arrived.

With an AT-AT.
