JesusIsGonnaOwnSatan Posted October 11, 2008 Posted October 11, 2008 ... not really sure what you're trying to do here, but whatever it is, it's not funny. huh-? im not trying to be funny. ive seen these like Litofsky's friend has. one weta was about 7 or 8 cm and the bigger one was 11 or 12 cm. i have seen them other times as well. ( 4 or 5 times.) they lived in my old house's backyard. ive seen them in my bedroom, in the backyard, etc. i have looked at them *very* close and they are quite freaky looking. am i missing something here? this thread is about wetas right? wetas are quite cool here. native species and all. but i like kiwis better cause their cuter. and they're endangered too. they have special conservation islands here that have all these native species. and keeps them safe from predators and stuff.
Lynk Former Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 I'd love to see a giant isopod and a horseshoe crab battle to the death! That'd be so awesome...
Jeff Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 I'd love to see a giant isopod and a horseshoe crab battle to the death!Who are you again?
Lynk Former Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 I vote for an epic battle where everything else is wiped from the face of the planet because of the awesome battle between those two.
jrrtoken Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 The most basic and simplest creatures, causing the apocalypse. Even Godzilla and King Ghidorah could not accomplish that.
Inyri Posted October 12, 2008 Author Posted October 12, 2008 Don't forget Mothra. Thread relevance +1.
Adavardes Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 God, giant insects, strange birds that look like coconuts with beaks, and a massive infestation of opossum. New Zealand's ecosystem is jacked. XD

Lynk Former Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 It's a Moth from Madagasca that drinks your tears... I tried to find a pic of the scientist that had pictures taken of him as the moth drank from his eye but I can't find it.
Adavardes Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 So, in a way, that moth has evolved into the quintessential schadenfreudian.
