DarkStarMojo
We finally have some screenshots to share of Hhunter6's excellent progress on the Executor level. http://dfmod.blogspot.com/ (for the full post). Direct links to the screens: http://img90.imageshack.us/img90/6366/shot0048te9.jpg http://img90.imageshack.us/img90/20/shot0045sz8.jpg http://img90.imageshack.us/img90/2227/shot0041ed7.jpg http://img90.imageshack.us/img90/8225/shot0036dc4.jpg http://img90.imageshack.us/img90/4303/shot0020xy2.jpg To summarize some of the other news: I've been too busy with school in the last two months to do much in the way of mapping. I'm hoping to get back on track later next month, once the bulk of my schoolwork for the semester is completed.

DarkStarMojo
Will we be expecting a new release coming in the near future DarkStarMojo? The screenshots look very well done The best I can give you is "2009." This is my last full year of school so I'm working on my final senior art project. Between that and full-time studio classes (around 5 - 6 hours) I won't have the time to complete my end of the work before early 2009, at best. So I guess next summer is the best you can expect at this point. Naturally, if any of that changes, we'll let everyone know.
Ping
Next summer sounds like a good release date, considering how hard this project is.
Sir Vougalot
Ooh, amazing work there, man! Keep it up! I'm glad you didn't put include the hands on all the weapon models like you had planned. I didn't like them because they took up too much screen space. (Or have you simply not implemented them yet? If so, don't.)
Ham Yoyo
Awesome screenshots. Just looking at them reminds me why JO and JA are my favorite games.

Kranckor
Lookin' cool. Though it would be great if at sometime in the future we could get some side by side shots to compare the new maps to the originals.
DarkStarMojo
Small update: I have the latest build of the map and I'm running through it tonight. So far it looks pretty solid - lots of enemies so it's tough. We'll probably be looking at expanding the architecture next. I've also managed to smooth out some recurring problems I've been having with radiant. I had to go back to using 1.4.0 but I should be able to map again, error-free, which is what's really important. UPDATE #2: Turns out I'm suffering from a whole bunch of other problems with Radiant 1.4 as well as the same problems as 1.5 (failing to save files and q3map2 crashing on light map compiles). Basically, both versions of the editor are useless. For the time being, I'm going to have to go back to using the mapping software on my old computer, which will slow things down considerably. Lookin' cool. Though it would be great if at sometime in the future we could get some side by side shots to compare the new maps to the originals. I'd take side-by-side comparisons but I don't know how to take screenshots in the original DF (I know it's possible. I've just never bothered to look into how). It's a good idea, though. Forceboat
I found an answer for that, DSM. I looked it up, and this is what I found: Take screen shots Start Dark Forces from the DOS prompt in the directory in which Dark Forces is located. Type DARK followed by this command-line switch: -shots Then press [PrintScreen] during game to save the snapshot as a SCRSHT###.PCX file (numbers go from 00 up to 99). Unless there's another way to do it, that's how you take screenshots in Dark Forces.
