Well, here we are. The first public release of The Sith Lords Content Restoration

 

This should give you good idea of what TSLCR will entail.

I.  Requirements
----------------

Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords must be installed BEFORE installing TSLCR.

If you wish to install the official patch you MUST do so BEFORE installing TSLCR.  After installing TSLCR you will NOT be able to install any official patches.

Installation of the official patch is NOT required for TSLCR.

If you wish to run TSLCR alongside TSLRP, your out of luck. This feature has been removed from the Demo.

II. Release Notes
-----------------

This mod can be installed alongside Ulic's Prolog Fix, and the HK Factory mod. Most weapon/non-story mods will work. 
USM and M4-78 are not compatibile. A M4-78 patch will be released soon.

III.  Description
-------------

This is our Public Demo, basicly a release of content that has been tested bug free. Now, not all of our stuff in included in this release. In Detail:

Peragus

1: Sion's "I have come for the Jedi" lines

Telos

1: Duro Thug - A Duro thug attacks the PC for asking questions. A result of asking around about the blaster.

Dantooine

1: Kreia taunts each master - During the Masters infamous speech about how they must cut the Exile off from the force, Kreia comes in as usual and throws them back. However, before she drains them she asks each master how they could not have felt the echo and how close they were to giving up the Force but they failed. Kreia puts each of them in a crush, then drains the force from them.
2: The Exile reads party members minds - When asked if he could not sense his party members thoughts, the exile reads the minds of the party who came with him.
3: A Bounty for Vrook - After fighting Vrook, you can opt to send him to Nar Shaddaa.

Nar Shaddaa

1: Threatening Goto - When stumbling upon the control center, the player threatens to use a certain skill to dismantle his vessel, however, Goto says that his droids will just turn off the oxygen.
2: Attons Lap Dance - Atton receives the Star Wars equivalent of a lap dance - a neck massage.
3: Fassa is a Toydarian - Fassa was originally supposed to be Quello, the toydarian who greeted the Exile at the landing pad. And then at the docks, be the overseer instead of the twi'lek.
4: Spa Treatment at the Jek'Jek Tarr - The twi'leks were supposed to be like the twi'lek slaves at Davik's estate and offer steam baths and massages.

Korriban

1: Korriban Info - There were some additional lines between Kreia, Atton, Visas, and the Exile about the nature of Korriban.
2: Party cannot enter - Before entering the tomb of Ludo Kressh, a party member chips in about not being able to move.
3: Doppleganger Fight - Revan was to have the dark clone of the exile fight you, prior to fighting Revan.

Malachor V


1: Mandalore and Visas walk on the face of the moon. The final fate of Canderous?

IV. Installation
-------------

1. Extract the TSLCR Demo, taking care to insure that both the "TSLCR.exe" file and "tslpatchdata" folder are extracted to the same folder (these files can be extracted to any folder on your hard drive EXCEPT those within the SWKotOR2 folder hierarchy).  Also note that simply copying the files within "tslpatchdata" to your "Override" folder will not properly install the mod.
2. Right click the modules and lips folders located in your main TSL folder and uncheck the read only box, so that all files and folders within are affected.
4. Once "Read-only" has been unchecked for both the lips and modules folders, run the "TSLCR.exe" file that was extracted earlier to begin installation of the mod.
5. Once installed simply start a new game. 

Note a new folder named "backup" will be created during installation within the folder the installer was run from.  If you plan on uninstalling this mod this folder and the files therein must not be deleted as they are used during the uninstall process.

Excuse me, whats all this about DarthBeard? I'm NOT him. I don't blame anybody, if I'm supposed to be humble here and take the blame I will. But I will say this, I have no association with Balor, except once asking him for permission to use the source from his project.

 

I have never plagiarized anyone's mod, If they did something and I wanted to use it I always asked. Jiinger made it so Kreia could stab herself, I asked if I could use the model/appearance he made, and he said yes. I asked DarthParametric if I could use his Telos Crash Movie fix(and he showed me a better way.) I ASKED DarkWarrior if I could use his Sion\Nihilus movie, he said yes. I've always asked. I've NEVER taken anyone's work.

 

I've only ever had one account here or on Kotorfiles, I have no hate for Shem or anyone on Kotorfiles. I've never heard of DarthBeard or anyone using that or related names. And for the record, ANYONE can use a IP proxy, there are sites that do that. Why does it have to have been me?

I almost thought it was him after one of the first few posts in TSLCR's WIP thread. I told myself and assumed, as I was mostly inactive on TE, that I was wrong.

 

It seems that some people learn from mistakes, while others don't and instead blame other people for their situation. :(

You were wrong, I'm not Balor.

I have no situation to blame anyone for.

 

And Shem said that he wondered how a modder with my skills could have just popped up? I didn't. When I started TSLCR I really had no Idea what I was doing. I learned as I went, it has all been a learning process. I'm also learning now that some people can't ever give up a suspicion once it's locked onto them. But no hard feelings. I'll just have to work to prove I'm NOT Balor.

 

I read what Balor did, the way he handled his problems with KFiles, and his plagiarism were unacceptable. That is not the way a person should act, and it's certainly NOT the way I've been raised.

That is childish behavior, if someone is pathetic and needs help, you DON'T laugh at them you find out a way to help.

IMO when Balor up and left that was the exact opposite of being an adult. I'll be sticking around.

the problem is Balor did something very childish, he made a new name and starting insulting the person who exposed him. then all those names were traced back to this other person, um whats his name, oh yeah pikmin, and this pikmin guy has been using balors work. i think thats more than just a coincidence. and it is not childish to not offer help to a person who has taken advantage of the leeway they have been given in the past. you will receive no sympathy from me. i'm going to trust Shem as he is a moderator of both Lucasforums and Kotorfiles, also he has more experience with balor than the rest of us so im fairly sure he can spot you. and it is not mature to stay where you arent wanted. it's similar to when someone tells you to shutup and leave and you say no and then sit there quietly, just to spite the request of the person tealling you to shutup and leave.

Well as I don't really like just words on paper, is there some proof? Can some one just PM all of the IPs of Balor so I can cross check them with Pikmins? Really words mean nothing to me as they give no solid proof.

 

No. The KotORFiles staff are prohibited from doing so by the NDA and the LF staff are also, through their own user protection agreement. Passing any information to you would be illegal, and as such it would not be prudent to do so. All the relevant checks have been made, as Shem stated in his announcement at KotORFiles, and i'm sure the LF staff will do their own also, once the Administators have been notified. If you don't want to believe it, it's your choice.

Err...what? As far as I have seen, Pikmin has been working on this project for a long time. Why, pray tell, would be release the beta for TeamGizka's thing, or whatever happened?

 

From everything I've seen myself, Pikmin is legit, and until I can actually see said proof that he is Balor, I don't intend to flame him in any way, shape, or form.

 

Also, if he's been indisputably proved to be Balor, how come this thread is still in existance and the link is still in the first post?
