What's your Family Motto?

Most families have a motto, a saying, or something that is often tied to their history, or create one that sums up their family.

So, my question is, what's yours?

My own family's motto, originated from Clan Macbean:

Loosely translated it means "Don't touch this cat without a shield", meaning "Don't mess with us unless you're prepared".

So what's yours? It doesn't have to be historical, it could just be something that sums up your family.

My family motto, originates from the Wedge family of Somerset where they were anciently seated as Lords of the Manor.

Which is:

Nil conscire sibi = "Conscious of No Wrong" or "To have a conscience free from guilt depending" on how it is translated.

I have seen a few different versions of my family's motto, but this one seems to be the oldest (and most common in searches):

'Leo de Juda est robur nostrum' - 'The Lion of Judah is our strength'

God, well, the part of my family that came from Belgium had a escutcheon of sorts in french and latin. I'll look around for it.

At any rate, my dad usually says something like "Do it well once, so you won't have to do it again".

Somehow I get the idea that Revan wasn't originally involved in this thread....suspect foul play I do....

Pro-tip: Look at the calendar... Obvsiously, that virus corrupted the forum database.
