Ulmont Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 Here's a planet I just made using my new-and-improved CS4. (Sorry about the weird half-blurred low-rez planet. I challenged myself to make EVERYTHING using a single tool.) Show spoiler (hidden content - requires Javascript to show)
Trench Posted June 22, 2009 Author Posted June 22, 2009 Ulmont, that is awesome! I wish I had Photoshop.
Ulmont Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 Thanks. I recommend CS3 or CS4 if you do get it. They're awesome.
Trench Posted June 22, 2009 Author Posted June 22, 2009 I wish I could get it. At this point its too expensive though. I'm happy with GIMP for the time being though.
Trench Posted June 22, 2009 Author Posted June 22, 2009 That would be fun, but I might keel over when the trial ends.
Kyr'am Galaar Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 I'm actually using the free trial version of CS2 for my mods.
Ulmont Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 Yeah, I suggest you get the Trial. And I think if you reset your clock date on your computer you can still use it. (I think, 'cause I only did that once, and for a really old program.)
Trench Posted June 22, 2009 Author Posted June 22, 2009 Are you suggesting I cheat the system Ulmont?... .
Kyr'am Galaar Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 Just a sun. Show spoiler (hidden content - requires Javascript to show)
Trench Posted June 22, 2009 Author Posted June 22, 2009 Sweet render payback! That isn't "just a sun", that is art!
Ulmont Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 Did you use the Render - Clouds thingimagigger? For the Base Tex? (That's what I used for the planet. And stars. And Nebula-what-ca-ma-callit in the background of mine.)
Kyr'am Galaar Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 I don't know what the heck I just made, but it was supposed to be a Star Explosion. or something like that. Show spoiler (hidden content - requires Javascript to show)
Ulmont Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 Wormhole. Definitely a wormhole. Or hyperspace. Still, it loos cool. Good job.
Demongo Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 Very nice! Now if I could see a planet explosion......:xp:I like seeing things falling to pieces:xp:
Kyr'am Galaar Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 Here is a planet explosion for ya! Show spoiler (hidden content - requires Javascript to show)
Trench Posted June 23, 2009 Author Posted June 23, 2009 Awesome explosion! I like the ball of plasma in the middle of the star. And that planet is awesome! I have to get the trial of Photoshop.
LordOfTheFish Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 Pretty nice pics. What are you using to make them? Just basic render tools in gimp or photoshop.
Ulmont Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 Yeah, pretty much. In mine, I challenged myself to make a star/planet/background-space using just render-clouds.
Demongo Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 Ooooh very nice! Thank you! I enjoy watching things like this:maize:
Trench Posted June 30, 2009 Author Posted June 30, 2009 This thread has gone long enough without a new piece of art. So I present for your viewing pleasure, this: Show spoiler (hidden content - requires Javascript to show) An artistic rendering of a damaged star (or something like that) What do you guys think?
Mandalore The Shadow Posted June 30, 2009 Posted June 30, 2009 it looks good but what do you mean by damaged star?
