JediAthos
I don't know how many folks are interested, but Newegg is selling pre-order upgrade disks for 50% off with free shipping. Also, has anyone out there run the the beta? If so I'd love to hear your impressions as I'm planning on upgrading from XP when this is released in October. Hallucination
I'm being lazy today so I won't give a link, but there's a thread about this in the General Tech Forum if you want answers to your questions.

ForeverNight
I'm using the RC too, dual-booting it with XP.... I really like it, it's basically an optimized Vista, so if you hate Vista -for reasons other than performance or support- you will hate 7. However, support shouldn't be as bad as it was for Vista because, at least in the RC, Vista drivers work just fine. However, make sure that you have an internet connection when you install the 7 RC. It makes it so much easier to get everything working. I didn't have sound for a few days before I was able to get my computer on the network -different one than my current computer- and run Windows Update. JediAthos
I'll be upgrading from XP to 7 Home Edition...I haven't used Vista at all, but I have played with it a bit when I set up my wife's laptop at Christmas. I don't have a problem with the way Vista looks..mostly the performance was my main concern.
Q
That's a fantastic price for the upgrade, JediAthos. Great catch. Very tempting. Folks, if you have a modern computer that was built in the last couple of years or so the performance will not be an issue. My dad's laptop has a Pentium Dual Core running at a measly 1600MHz and it runs Vista Home Premium just fine.
