But, just because a colourist used purple there, doesn't mean that every single one of them is the same colour. I like to think that they are like flying horses (albeit with claws and stingers, and they'll eat you just as soon as carry you ), and since horses come in many different colours, so should these guys. Maybe on different parts of the planet, they have different colours? aye, that's a good point... there is this on wookieepedia though Drexl began life in a larval stage and were born 3 meters tall. They had no wings in this stage, but were extremely fierce as well as vicious. These drexl larvae were more Humanoid in shape with two legs and two arms, three fingered, clawed hands, a tail, and three rows of spine down their back. The skin of at least some larvae was bright green unlike the dark purple of the adults. That aside, it is just wookieepedia. I suppose some real information (other than the Tales of the Jedi comics) might do us some good here, but I do rather like the idea of different colored drexls. A greyish, dark blue one could look pretty awesome, I think Now, if only someone with lots of animating experience could volunteer to fix the boss model Oh yeah, I know... this'll be interesting. That's not a bad idea. Again, on wookieepedia, it's stated that the standard adult drexl had a 20 meter wingspan, and took 3 riders to ride it... looks like we'd need to rig that boss model for sure. Untill then, it'd just be extra work with little pay-off My choice would be an earth tone upper skin, with a light (like cloudy skies) under belly. That way they are harder to see from the ground while they are soaring/hunting. And when they land or roost, they'll blend in with the rocks.
