Jedi_Man
Sam'kil was shocked at how everything went south so quick. He watched Juhani attack the Thugs, and had an idea. Forcing himself into a body, He joined Juhani in her assault. Putting two of them in a sleeper hold, he force choked the others. Once they fainted, he dropped the two in his arms and smiled at Juhani. "Please, don't stab me again. I've no wish to relive that experience. Besides, I might be able to access this guys memory... Yep, I can get you the code for the Compactor pit. Whos in charge of the rescue portion of the mission?" Sam'kil said through the persons mouth. The voice was different from his own, but the inflections on words was the same as ever. "Tell your friend, the Twi'lek, the code is 627-958." Ataris
Drayden had been following silently behind the group until they had reached the hangar. They were looking for something now, and he didn't know what....They were checking ships. Perhaps the Exile was no more than a petty thief--but no, that didn't seem right at all, there was something different about her. He hoped he could figure out what it was soon. Suddenly a ghostly apparition appeared. Drayden was surprised. He had heard of Force Ghosts before, but--to actually see one in person, that was another matter. And most of the time, they didn't bother to interfere in the actions of mortals like this, but from what Drayden was hearing, he was supposed to be looking for something. UMBRA. What was that, anyway? Sneaking around towards the Force Ghost, whom he could now only barely sense, he saw him take some sort of device out of a ship, and then he returned back to the Exile. This time, taking very careful steps, he got underneath the fighter nearest him and watched what was going on. Immediately after he did so, he felt a hand over his mouth, and he also saw in front of him the same thing happening to the Exile. However, Drayden quickly was able to slip the knife out his boot and cut down the Gamorrean from behind in yet another practiced move to the face. And standing there, surrounding the two ships, were a group of thugs. They began to drag the Exile, but only two of them noticed Drayden's quick struggle. Instead of facing them, however, he simply ran away, his stealth generator still on. He was running into a corridor, and behind him, he noticed a disturbance. Someone else was following him. Making sure to disable his stealth belt before pulling out his weapon, as the interference from the blade wreaked havoc with stealth generators, he activated the vibrosword and unsheathed it all in one liquid move and kept on running. The disturbance behind him was gone, however--and it was heading into a nearby corridor. It had to be the Exile. And thugs were following her. Making sure that he himself was no longer being followed by anything, Drayden made his way towards another corridor nearby, hoping to reconnect with the adjacent one. If the Exile was in trouble, Drayden wanted to help. But at the same time, he wondered--why did it matter? If he were to take the bounty....But he stopped such thoughts just in time as he silently slid along the wall, reaching a portal that led to a garbage collector--and there was someone in it. What do I do now?
Tysyacha
((Hey, Ataris, I'll give you two very slashing and burning things to do! )) The garbage pit around which the cloaked figure found himself was enormous. It was as if the area upon which it was built had once been the start of a strip mine. Someone's home could have been built right where it lay! Surrounding the pit were four Gamorreans, now debating something. Within the pit lay an unconscious Tysyacha Dvyx, which was terrible news for her. One of the Gamorreans grunted something Drayden could barely understand: "Pit smelly. Think we burn it? Boss get mad if gets too stinky, Gorok." The second green and pig-like alien, presumably "Gorok", nodded. "Get torches. Burny, burn, burn. Even I not like the way it smells, and I from Gamorrea." The others snorted in laughter--their home may have been on par with Nal Hutta in terms of odoriferousness, but this abyss of rotting trash... The third Gamorrean returned with bio-fuel torches, as yet unlit, which he tossed to the first, second, and fourth of his colleagues. He kept the fourth one for himself. "Ow, ow, ow!" they cried. "Oops--we forgetted! Not lit yet." One by one, they hit a button (red for easy viewing) and ignited their torches. "Okay," said "Gorok." "On count of three, we make pit burny-burn." He held up his torch above his head, like a champion athlete would after a magnificent victory. "One--two--uh, what number come after two?" "Me not know," said the first Gamorrean, shaking his head in honest confusion. Then Gorok remembered: "Three! Light pit now!" The three other Gamorreans dipped their torches into the pit, and the trash began to burn. Unfortunately for the Exile, she was about to be burned with it, but the thugs had not yet lit her area of the pit. The flames would have to work to get there. Whoever rescued her would have to try and ignore everything... ((Does he jump in the pit and grab the Exile, risking capture by the Gamorreans? Does he whack the four of them and then try to find a giant extinguisher? Does he even try to risk going and finding the crime boss, risking his wrath in order to divert his attention to the pit--and also finding Niera? Only time will tell...)) Ataris
Drayden watched the scene unfold before him. This time, he had been quite slow on the uptake. But he knew exactly what he had to do. The first Gamorrean had no idea what hit him as Drayden leaped at him and cut him down with a power attack from his vibrosword. This left him open to the two other Gamorreans. However, these Gamorreans were even slower on the uptake than he was as they just stood and gawked at Drayden. One more stroke, and the Gamorrean's head was removed from his body. The last alien tried to hit Drayden with his torch. It succeeded with having its arm dislodged from its body. Three Rodians stood in the doorway, and they finally decided it would be a good idea to open fire. Drayden hated these situations. As the first bolt grazed the right side of his black form-fitting armor, Drayden unleashed the modified blaster at his side upon the Rodians, dodging to the left all the way. He killed two of them, leaving one remaining. It began to back away quite fast, and Drayden needed to do something before it shot him. But it was too late, Drayden miscalculated the direction of the bolt, and it was moments away from hitting him, which he could not realize when the bolt was traveling at such high velocity. It seemed both the Exile and Drayden were in need of help at this very moment.
Alkonium
(sorry, I'll get back on it!) Walking in the front door, Niera quickly made her way to Adon's office, knocking out every guard in her path. Upon entering, Adon said to her, "If you had let me know you were coming, they would have let you in." To which Niera, using a sultry tone, replied, "And spoil the surprise? Never." She then removed her clothes to reveal the metal bikini she was wearing underneath. "I love it." Adon replied, only for Niera to kiss him with such vigour he was thrown off his chair. At the same time, Niera spotted a remote control for the UMBRA device, and quickly hit the on/off button twice, allowing Juhani to quickly identify the ship. As Adon managed to undo the clasp on her top, she then noticed Tysyacha fall into the garbage chute. Realising the urgency in Tysy's predicament, she said to Adon, "I'm really sorry about all this." and knocked him out with a single punch to the forehead. After she got her top back on, Niera heard the security code for the ship over the comm and punched it in, allowing Juhani to get inside and steal the UMBRA device. Then, stuffing her clothes into her pack, she ran out of the office, and into the nearest garbage chute. Managing to climb out, she started to look for Tysy, though eventually finding her unconscious and surrounded by Gammoreans, with little time to spare before the incinerators started up. Though another benefactor dealt with the Gammoreans, she had to take care of one Rodian guard blocking the exit. Seeing as he was preoccupied with the Gammoreans' killer, she ran up, and kicked him in the head, and then in the stomach, knocking him down. Force-ghosts can't stay in the phyical world for very long before they pass into nothingness.)) Juhani narrowed her eyes at the figure. "You are a Bounty hunter. You are not to be trusted. And I do know techniques that will get rid of you for good. It appears I will be forced to use them." She brought her lightsaber down across the figure's head and watched as it flew off in a dark corner of the room. "It's not easy for someone to make me as angry as you managed to do. Now. I will give you a choice. You can either go and bother Bastila. Or I will use the techniques that I learned. But perhaps...a demonstration is in order." Juhani extended her hand and slowly began to drain the force-ghost of what was sustaning him. The force. His image was getting more and more transparent as she drained him of the force and she smiled another feral smile. "Go. Away. Now."
Alkonium
Hoisting the Exile over her shoulder, Niera said to the other benefactor, "The incineration cycle's about to start, and we need to get out of here." She then carried Tysyacha out through the exit, not caring what happened to Drayden. Once they were in the clear, Niera opened up a comm link with Juhani. "Do you have the device yet? Adon could come to any moment now." She inquired, unsure if the plan was going to work after all.
Ataris
The bolt had barely came out of the weapon, it seemed, when it was being fired, and when the Rodian went down, so did the gun. The bolt merely succeeded in boiling the barrel of the gun, and Drayden stood there, relieved. He watched as a blue Twi'lek did some fancy moves and retrieved the woman, the Exile, from the garbage incinerator. Then, walking past Drayden, an obvious look of apathy towards him on her face, she gave him a quick rundown and then began to hurry down the corridors. Overhearing the Twi'lek talking on the comlink, Drayden confirmed his suspicions. They were out looking for some sort of device. And Adon had to be the one in control of this place. He had found the Exile, but none of that mattered if they were in danger. Activating his stealth generator, he ran past the Twi'lek and through the corridors. Further and further Drayden ran, entering the nearest door. He had to help the Exile escape, and so he needed to find Adon. In front of him were some guards, who were immediately receptive to the footsteps in the quiet room. Simultaneously unshielding himself as he slipped behind one of them, he drove the knife from his boot into the man's back. A blaster bolt was fired, and Drayden used the body as cover. Then, in one liquid motion, as the guard was preparing to fire again, Drayden slipped past the body, darted over to the guard, and took care of the job. They were guarding an elevator, apparently, and so Drayden assumed it must be important. Getting inside and activating the control, the lift began to move upwards, and Drayden enjoyed the ride. His enjoyment ended abruptly. Not because the lift had stopped, but because the alarm bells now ringing inside of the shaft were causing his ears to bleed. Fortunately, the lift stopped on the top floor, and the doors opened, releasing him. Unfortunately, a full force of armed guards were near the shaft, as well. Reactivating his cloak, Drayden settled against the wall and the doors opened. A few bright Rodians decided to open fire at the empty space, while the Gamorreans all stared and made feral noises. All of them, however, decided to come closer. One quick slash was all it took. He was no longer invisible, and the guards at the far ends of the halls were starting to chase him down. However, ahead was a very fancy-looking room indeed, seeming to Drayden to be Adon's personal office. And, better yet, there were no guards posted there. Entering through the doors, Drayden pulled out his pistol and fired a few shots as soon as he entered. After a quick "What's going on?" was heard, the shots hit the glass at the far end of the room and a very surprised Twi'lek turned towards him, armed. After Drayden fired, however, the Twi'lek had no arm. Quickly running forward, Drayden used the other blunt edge of his vibrosword to knock the man unconscious, and then, looking around at all the controls, Drayden finally found the one blinking one and pressed it. The alarm stopped. But that didn't mean anything. Drayden had to move quickly. Finding the com, Drayden activated it, and spoke as best he could like the Twi'lek. He had only heard a few words out of the man, after all. "This is Adon speaking, please return to your posts. False alarm. I repeat, false alarm. Now, get back to work!" In the few moments Drayden had to know the man, he had assumed what he might say. Now, hopefully, it would buy the Exile some time, at least. Once again activating his stealth generator, he headed back down the way he had come, facing no resistance, and bolted for the hangar.
The Betrayer
"This is the TIK Machine," Bastila purred, showing the Supreme Chancellor. "It has transparent walls for viewing executions, though I had them opaque during the last one. Would you like to see the holorecording of it?" Seeing his nod, Bastila flicked it on. "First the shackles and the waste-suction device attach themselves to the condemned. Then, the gas mask fits itself securely over the prisoner's face. Last but not least, the gas floods into the mask via the delivery hose attached to it. It's a mixture of every lethal vapor known to humans and aliens throughout the galaxy. One of the gases is bound to kill them." Again, she couldn't read the expression on the Chancellor's face... Chancellor Arken Phoenix was a man who knew much about combat. All his knowledge, however, didn't save him from the disgust he felt as he watched the holorecording. He tried to keep a straight face of course. A man of his power must not appear weak. "This is all great, Grand Master, but have you ever asked yourself, 'Is it necessary?'", uttered the Chancellor when Bastila turned off the holo. Bastila was about to make a reply when Arken said, "Are all these contraptions essential when all we need is the death of a prisoner? I see this TIK machine wasting important Republic Credits, and unless you could justify its to me, I must cut off its budget." The Chancellor stopped a smile from forming. The grand master has helped him in his campaign, but that doesn't mean that the Chancellor likes her. In fact, the Chancellor despises the Grand Master because he sees her as being stronger than him. CommanderQ
Gelvik was monitoring the controls of the Basalisk extremely carefully. The only disadvantage of a Basalisk's Slave Drive was that you needed to always keep an eye on it, otherwise the ship could lose control in the middle of hyperspace. The one major imperfection of the Mandalorian ship...but it was the only imperfection, so he could make do with this. He heard the short conversation between Pyscho and Chandria, and now he felt he knew the strange hunter better. And he could feel that he could relate to the man, with his struggles...and crimes. Gelvik shut the thought out of his head. He had tried to forget his war crimes since the Mandalorian Wars, so as to keep the disturbing dreams away...or just the horrifying flashbacks that would come and go without warning. He shook his head and checked the Hyper-drive's flight meter and Nav-computer. "Well...only a few minutes now 'till Ord Mantell." He pulled back on the hyperdrive throttle, slowing the Basalisk's speed only by a tiny bit, but it was enough. The Slave Drive didn't stop like a dime when it came out of hyperspace, hence, slowing it down. He had a question. "What's your real name, Pyscho?" Ataris
Heading straight for the hangar, he noticed that the Exile and the others were already gone. He had helped them escape as best as he could. They were probably on their way to the ship, and he had to hurry if he was to going to make it to the ship as well. Activating his cloak, he prepared himself for action. And, indeed, that was exactly what happened. His ruse had worked temporarily, but now, it seemed, Adon's soldiers had caught on. Behind Drayden, there were squads of Rodians, Gamorreans, and humans following them, some opening fire. They were very innacurate. Sigh. Does the Exile always get herself into this much trouble? Tysyacha
Tysyacha Dvyx, who had carried others for so long as they struggled on their path to freedom and self-discovery, was now being carried back to her own ship! After the near-miss with the incineration cycle of the garbage pit, the Exile, still unconscious, was borne safely across the shoulders of Niera. Of course, she did not know who brought her back to the Ebon Hawk, but once she did know, it would change her life irrevocably--and for the better... T3 beeped and wheedled a message of concern once the Twi'lek and Juhani arrived. He seemed to have sensed the arrival of an unknown presence, and an unidentified foreign object being inserted rather unceremoniously into the hyperdrive. Thus, he signaled for either the Cathar Jedi or the Twi'lek smuggler to see if, indeed, the device they had stolen from Adon Rha was indeed the real, live, working UMBRA prototype. Otherwise, they were completely kriffed. If the device were only a decoy, then... They could not afford to have it be a decoy. It had to be real. No longer would Stealth Generator belts suffice if they had to re-enter the warehouse of Adon Rha, now with hypervigilant guards roaming about! Juhani quickly went to check the hyperdrive, and as for Niera? Niera was still carrying a smelly, sweaty, limp and clocked-out-cold Exile on her shoulders! But hey, My character will be in the Netherworld for a while, So ya'll can take a breather...) Sam'kil opened his ghostly eyes, he was back in the rolling plains of the Force ghost realm. Kreia stood before him. "Welcome back, Sam'kil. Heh. Not much time spent in the real world huh?" She said. "No, a crazy Cathar girl is bent on killing me, if I get anywhere near her, she'll try and evaporate me like water." Sam'kil responded. "We have a tendency to do that to people, especially if we knew them in our past lives. They can't accept we're still in their world, even though it really was never their's to begin with." Ataris
Drayden noticed behind him that the guards were scrambling now, not for him, but something else. They were heading through a door into another large chamber, one he had not noticed before. Only a few more seemed to notice Drayden's mostly-invisible form escaping. But where were all of the guards going? He approached closer, now, leaving the Exile and the others to go to the ship. Something wasn't right--he could sense it. Slipping into the chamber behind the others as silently as he could, he saw what was going on. The guards were flocking to guard a device--it was a very small, strange device, with several controls on it. Whatever it was, it was obviously valuable, because the guards were coming here to guard it. But--from who? Wait a second--the Exile had come here for a device.... The karking thing refused to work for reasons she couldn't think of. Her head snapped back up as felt the presence of many lifeforms...heading through the corridors and heading for the Hawk. It looks like Jolee will have to take care of Bastila. I need to help them get away. She quickly turned away from the Hyperdrive and ran outside just as the first of many guards appeared around the corridor. A few of them were carrying heavy weaponry, things that could most likely punch through the Hawk's shields and destroy the ship with a few shots. She ignited her lightsaber and began dodging the blaster shots that were aimed at her and tried to focus on the heavy weaponry that was being set up behind the first line of guards. Go! I will catch up with you on Telos. When Jolee wakes up...tell him that he must teach you in my place. Alkonium
Niera, having jumped half-naked into a similar garbage chute, was probably even dirtier than Tysy.
