I know some of you guys are gonna say "whats the diff with the rile and pistol"...I I'm saying that there will be addition to the current model to make it rifle-ish...:)

Very nice i must say. And you model very fast with good results (yea i know i model fast too but the quality... should not be spoken of in the daylight).

 

Anyway man, i was gonna come here to tell an idea i got earlier today: Make new troops. Yes, my grand idea is that :xp: Make new troopers and add them in game, and also replace the ordinary troopers of course. I think having new npc´s would be very nice and would give a new feel to the game, and also create even some more replayability as veterans like... Almost everybody here:p wouldnt know what theyre up against.

 

I hope i made sense as its kinda late here and im writing in the darkness as there is something wrong with the lamp here and i cant keep it on.

Yup.. I'm just using all my previous models that were/weren't used for discontinued mods in the past. It kinda grew from just a armor rehaul to a total rehaul.

 

@Drunkside: Dude if you looked at the models closely.. their basically made up of blocks or cylinders. the one with a more defined shape are done with the line modifier in GMAX. I basically added a pic of the gun and did an outline. Convert the outline to an editable mesh and extrude the face. presto instant gun/rifle/whatever. You might wanna try it sometime. :)

when you use the above method. it's really simple when it comes to the skinning part. all you gotta do is use the same pic used as the outline model. abit of scalling and moving of vecters is involved. all thats left is to color the skin :D

Good/Bad/Eye-hurtingly-garish? (Yeah, I know. But hey, that's what Bioware did for the origional baragwin armor).
