Buy My Stuff

I apologize in advanced for turning this thread into something resembling a market, but things like eBay and Facebook Market really don't do it for me. Besides, I tent to like and trust (that you won't be able to show your filthy faces around here ever again if you chip me) all of you more than the faceless buyers of those sites. Those of you who know me pretty well know that I'm a bit of a computer enthusiast. You know, that guy in that one general physics or calculus class who talks about his latest new build, which video card or processor he got, and how it's so much better than the competitors. Back on topic, I am poor and my unhealthy addiction to Newegg has left me with some things I don't need. Here's what I got.

Desktop 1

AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+ Black Edition, 2.6GHz. Highly overclockable.

GIGABYTE AM2 NVIDIA nForce 570 SLI ATX motherboard

SAMSUNG SpinPointT 320GB 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Hard Drive

Patriot 2GB DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel SDRAM, CAS4 (4-4-4-12)

Lite-ON Dual-Layer DVD+/-RW drive (Black)

Rosewill Xtreme Series 750W Power supply, Four +12V rails, 18A each, 72A combined

AMS Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

ASUS GeForce GTX 280 1GB GDDR3 PCI-Express 2.0 x16 graphics card

Will test before shipping.

I'm thinking $600

Desktop 2

400MHz PowerMac G4

512MB SDRAM

No hard disk

Tested with Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger, runs pretty damn fast for what it is.

I'm thinking $75 (Shut up, Macs retail their value)

Laptop 1

I'm going to warn you, this laptop is probably best for other enthusiasts or desperate people.

HP Pavilion ze5385us

15" LCD, 1400x1050 max resolution

2.6GHz Pentium 4

512MB DDR SDRAM

60GB IDE hard drive

Radeon Mobility 9000, 64MB shared

Windows XP Home

Problems: Wireless B card was finicky last I tried, kept dropping a signal. It MAY have been my old crappy router, too. There's a problem with the sound, Windows will lower the output to mute. Sometimes you have to physically bump the laptop in a certain place to get it to work. Sound jacks should work fine. This laptop burns through batteries. I mean, I bought a brand new battery, for it, which was fine, but now it only runs on AC power. Jiggling the power cord may cause loss of power. Sounds like a firmware or soldering issue with the power, but I'm at a loss. Also, the rick-click button sticks. It's not much as far as laptops go, but keeping it stationary, it'll run fine. Also good for anyone who likes fixer-uppers.

Will be tested before shipping.

I'm thinking $50

If any of you happen to need some sort of machine or are just bored, hey, here I am. Tell me your thoughts.

A nine year old Mac with no hard drive or OS... and you want $75? I think it should be "hey, give me some cash to send it and you can have it, otherwise it's going in the garbage". Also, I'd assume Macs drop their value even faster. So meh.

Try Craigslist, by the way. (It's only dangerous if you're selling car stereos and/or sex). The kind of people looking for spare parts aren't gonna be carrying switchblades.

Really? The laptop? Really?

I don't know what shipping costs, but... wait a minute. Weren't you the one who wanted to buy my laptop LAST time, Rhett? I can test the laptop again for you if you want. Functionally, it runs XP great, and doesn't do half bad with video playback. It's just the baggage it carries that's annoying.

Would you buy willing to sell a part individually? I'm interested in the video card from your first desktop. How much would you sell it for?

EDIT: I say this because I just bought a new graphics card earlier today and am having problems with it. Will probably return. You caught me at just the right time, Kjolen.

EDIT2: Actually, the same goes for your PSU... again, if you're willing to sell parts separately.
