Pavlos Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 Source Phenomenally lazy as I am, I have neglected to post an interesting development. Brian Mitsoda (of Bloodlines fame) and Annie Carlson, both formerly developers at Obsidian Entertainment, announced the creation of DoubleBear Productions, an independent studio, in 2nd August. The studio has already announced its first project, a turn-based RPG based around zombies which is being affectionately "referred to as a ZRPG". More information is available via the developer's forums, hosted at fellow independent developer Iron Tower Studio.
SpaceAlex Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 I've heard of this. Quite interested to see what comes out of it.
Sabretooth Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 Hmm ZRPG? Also, the name sounds too similar to Double Fine. I will have to know more of this to be excited.
Jae Onasi Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 If they make the zombies like in VTMB, it'll be one creepy game.
jrrtoken Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 From what I've gathered, the main antagonists aren't exactly the zombies themselves, but really the hysteria-driven humans that are desperate enough to do anything for survival. It's definitely supposed to be more of a War of the Worlds-esque scenario, where (mis)information, or simply the lack it, after a major catastrophe brings out the worst of people, and how you have to survive surviving, in a respect. Definitely something to keep a watchful eye on, though. If they make the zombies like in VTMB, it'll be one creepy game.So that you can have sex with them?
Jae Onasi Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 So that you can have sex with them? I'm not that horny.
Q Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 While I would agree that the whole zombie thing has been done to undeath (yeah, I suck ), I hope that this does well for Annie's sake.
SpaceAlex Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 While I would agree that the whole zombie thing has been done to undeath (yeah, I suck ), I hope that this does well for Annie's sake. And Brian's.
jrrtoken Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 And Brian's. Yes, but you're forgetting something verily important; Annie is a WOMAN. :band1
SpaceAlex Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 Ha ha, I know that's the reason he only mentioned her.
Q Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 Ya got me. And she's a very cool woman at that. And Brian is much more well-known.
