tfarr
This has probably been discussed before... but it just recently entered my mind and caused me to wonder. My wife and I were replaying MI2 for the bajillionth time. When we got to the part where Wally is captured and you have to get in the crate to get to LeChuck's fortress... it struck me: why is there a crate being picked up at the International House of Mojo being sent to LeChuck? Is the Voodoo Lady supplying him with voodoo components? If you look at the crate, the shipping label says that it's being shipped c/o (care of) something other than the IHoM... but in light of the Voodoo lady's role in the Tales games, it does make me wonder. Thrik
Yeah I've heard a bit of speculation about this before. I've even heard people suggesting that weird voodoo person in LeChuck's fortress — the one who brings him back to life — is the voodoo lady. A bit far-fetched in my opinion, but yeah there's definitely some ambiguity there. Clearly inspired some of what happened in Tales of Monkey Island I think! Aububuh
This makes me wonder if that whole thing with the Voodoo Lady in TMI was Ron's idea.
SyntheticGerbil
The package address always bothered me too as inconsistent. I just guessed the Voodoo Lady has no alliances? Yeah I've heard a bit of speculation about this before. I've even heard people suggesting that weird voodoo person in LeChuck's fortress — the one who brings him back to life — is the voodoo lady. A bit far-fetched in my opinion, but yeah there's definitely some ambiguity there. Yeah, who was that guy?

Aububuh
I remember reading somewhere that it was. That makes sense. But this makes me think of another question. What was it that made Guybrush walk in to the Voodoo Lady's shop in SMI in the first place, and what would she have done if he hadn't? Or, did she makes her plans after they met, which means she might not even have known anything about him and LeChuck in the first place, and if that's true, what's her motive? It's possible for you to finish SMI without visiting the Voodoo Lady at all. I'm not sure when she started, or what her ultimate motive is. All I know is that she likes pitting Chuckers against Guybrush. If the events of the first game were something done by her - if, for example, Guybrush's urge to become a pirate and subsequent meeting of and feelings for Elaine were something orchestrated by the Voodoo Lady - well, then I really have no idea. It's strange. Part of me thinks that it was not a coincidence that LeChuck (Tales spoilers) regained his zombie form - or his apparent want to become a zombie - after being trapped with her in a prison (same cell regardless). I almost think that it was the Voodoo Lady who trapped Guybrush in the Carnival of the Damned. Hell, he was using one of her spells, wasn't he? We'll find out soonish, I guess.
