[wip] Planet: Iridonia

Well there comes a time when you begin to learn new skills and you try new things. about 3 months ago i learned how to make custom areas by re-using old ones and have been playing around with it ever since. I never got far into a project that involved it but i think im ready for that

 

Any way Im proud to annouce my latest Project Iridonia. For a while now i've been making mods involving the iridonians and have come to be quite fond of them.

 

Any way back to the planet. I have began planning quests for the mod and have the scripting knowledge to ge them to work. the planet will consist of 3 areas. the Main city, the Mayor Office and The Apartments.

 

 

Now its a good time to mention that in the past my mods have been tagged as "Colourful"

 

Holty12345 is back again, with a new robe pack for the first Knights of the Old Republic game. The textures in this mod are... Colourful to say the least.

 

Any way its all good someone coming out making a W.I.P with no work... well im one of them.... NOT!

 

So far all i have done is re-skin the main city and i have Pictures

First: Yes it know its colourful thats just how i roll

4th: Dont just post things like "Bright" or "Ew" as that doesnt help any one and makes me

P.S this is Non-canon it will not be like how wookiepedia descripes it. so i would have more of a free-range with it

I also know that it is the Iridorians (Zabrak things) that really live their. quite frankly i feel that the Iridonians should be on Iridonia due to the names

It a unique look.

 

What I find that helps with bring together skins for modules is to look online/google about a certain type of design that matches your vision. then you can use those clip art/images as a grounding to allow a better flow from one skin to another. This will also aid in creating the atmosphere for your planet wither it is a more colorful vegas feel of a dark gothic horror,..it all comes about keeping a mood/tone within the planet and the images/clip art of the style you like will help keep it more balanced. Most of the time a skin just need to be tweaked and slid over to another spot where it might work nicer with another skin verse the one next to it originally.

You have the species name mixed up. Zabraks are Iridonian, nor Iridorian. Iridorians are the crazy helmet guys.

Just FYI:

 

American is to Human as Iridonian is to Zabrak. Iridonian describes where they live, Zabrak is the species.

 

Also, EPIC STAR WARS WIKI FAIL: even Wookieepedia doesn't know the difference between Iridonian and Iridorian

Im know making these Bright colours simple placeholders. the main purpose was some skins looked the same but but where named differently and i didnt know where they should go so i made one Red, Blue and the other Yellow.

 

The Look it will be like at the end will be Industrail and rusty

 

Also i find that the flooring is not that bad and suits it well but ofcourse the buildings do not look as good. its a shame that some of the floor files are also added to the Buildings

I could help you out with the floor tiles being on some of the buildings. I know how to fix that but its a bit too complicated to explain from an iphone.

Maybe, Depends once i've remade the files i'll see how it looks and if its Ok i'll just keep it

 

One thing i will def need help with is making it so these skins only apply to the custom Module not the whole game as most are repeated alot i found

 

Also Daks decided he wanted to help xD and he did the apartments skin which i would be foolish to refuse

Its an Intro I made. It also makes it so the video generally avoids copyright issues as it has bits from so many different people youtube cant pin point the video to one owner xD

I see some of your textures mixed in there and I think it looks great. Truly unique skin for a unique planet mod

 

I like the idea of an industrial look for the city - I was originally going for a cross between clean modern and heavy industrial looks for the apartments (stainless steel, wood, FLW). I look forward to what you come up with!

I think everyone ones ideas are there own trust me when i say not everyone gonna agree with how it looks no matter how hard you try but someone will try it without judgement.
