Tysyacha Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 /rant on Since when did you decide to have your authors/readers take it in the rump? I do NOT want to complete an insipid Harry Potter quiz and get spam on my cell phone in order to read the stories I ALREADY PUBLISHED ON YOUR SITE. You never had me pay to use your site or have me go through all these stupid hurdles before, so why now? You already have banner ads everywhere. Has anybody else noticed this? /rant off
Darth Avlectus Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 No but I haven't visited there in some time. Desperate times call for desperate measures and, well, this is why nobody likes them. Hence a last resort--though in this case I'm willing to say medium to last.
JediExile Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 Have you tried visiting the mobile version on your phone? I just checked it out on my Blackberry and didn't see any ads...
Samnmax221 Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 This is the universes way of telling you not to read crappy fanfiction.
Darth333 Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 This is the universes way of telling you not to read crappy fanfiction. lol You sound like Cindy Jacobs in the Arkansas bird thread...maybe she should claim royalties? But I do not have any problems accessing the site (it's not pretty but I see no ads and can access the content without problems). I fully support what Stinghers said: try firefox + addblocker.
Samnmax221 Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 lol You sound like Cindy Jacobs in the Arkansas bird thread...maybe she should claim royalties? Except that I love gay people, and showtunes, and gay showtunes......
The Doctor Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 People above the age of 13 still use fanfiction.net?
Allronix Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 Hey, I post there frequently. 60+ stories, and over a dozen fandoms. It's a great place to act as a central hub for fanfics and fandoms. But Firefox with adblocker will solve the annoying ads.
JediExile Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 Agreed with Allronix. ABP rocks. (Plus, Allronix has some amazing stories up there, too!
