Jae Onasi
So, I've been kicking around the idea of starting podcasting again, now that my life seems to be settling down a bit. If we started a podcast for TOR, what features would be useful, entertaining, or helpful? What would you want to hear? What would you not want to hear? How long should it be ideally? How often should it be produced? Post your ideas, suggestions, and so on here. Have fun with it.
mimartin
I would like to hear a distinctive Aussie and English accent in any podcast for TOR.
Jae Onasi
Nice. If we get some Aussie/UK speakers, your wish will be my command.

Yeah but it would be nice if they changed up the death scream hearing the same thing over gets boring, I love my Star Wars games but i have had to put the PC on mute just because i got tired of hearing it over and over!! Prime
I guess really you would need to figure out the best way to distinguish this from the other podcasts that are out there. I think it should be relatively short unless some new info warrants it, otherwise you'll probably end up talking about the same kind of info repeatedly. Just a guess, but I would say maybe a show every 2 weeks at most is enough right now and maybe ramp that up as the release approaches. In the long run I wouldn't mind something that is in part a bit more LF community focused.
Jae Onasi
I'm thinking roughly a half hour every 10-14 days, ideally every week. Anything longer than that is too much for me to edit easily. I'm also thinking a healthy mix of clean humor and up-to-date information, with perspectives from both males and females, and hard-core vs. casual MMO player style. Info comes out every Friday, so it would be easy enough to use that as a focus for discussion, with a LucasForums spin on it. One of the guys I have in mind to podcast with comes from Lotus Fleet, actually, and he works in journalism in the Navy (not unlike Groovy did), and has even done some TV broadcasting with them. He's also very opinionated in his gaming, so it's a lot of fun to podcast with him--I did GamerCatz with him for awhile before it got to be too much for him with his other activities and Navy work.
