How To Download Redhawke's Mods! Easy and Simple!

Recommended Posts

I am not really sure where I should post this at, so if a moderator see's this thread can you please move this to right forum? Thanks.

Hello everyone. I am mostly a lurker on the forums, but I really do appreciate everything on the forums which is why I am sharing this with all of you. I have seen a lot of people on the forums (myself included) looking for Redhawke's old mods. He created tons of great mods which really enhanced gameplay and made Kotor a lot more fun. While another moderator is hosting them on his website, it is not that easy to get to and the only other way is to ask in the forum, which also is not very convenient if no one is online. This way of getting his Mods are WAY more convenient. By using the website Wayback Machine, an internet archive, you can view a 'snapshot' of the website before it was taken down. All of the files are backed and are available for download. Here is what you do.

Step 1: Go to Wayback Machine

Step 2: There should be a box. Type in url to Redhawke's website(http://www.citlink.net/~redhawke/) and hit latest.

Step 3: Congratulations! Now you are on Redhawke's website! Start downloading!

I have personally tested this and have download Make Carth, Mission, and Canderous a Jedi and various other mods and all the files are intact. DO THIS QUICK! YOU NEVER KNOW IF WAYBACK MACHINE WILL TAKE OFF THE LINKS.

I am a supporter of Redhawke and all of his Mods, so if he or anyone asks me to remove this for any reason I will.

Try this on another website like PCGameMods and see if it works.

------ EDIT ------

In the meantime.. thanks to RedHawke's permission... ;)

heeeeeee's baaaack...

I have downloaded all the files and archived them just in case the Wayback archive fails (eventually). I'm also in the works on a larger project for RH, details to come once I can talk to him ;)

If this method (wayback) fails, feel free to make a request here: http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?t=167699

Nice find AceOfSpades

Thanks man. The only reason I went to search for the Mods this way was because I never got a response in that thread.

Off Topic: Do you know who I can talk to for getting my username changed?

Did not know that Ace... cool beans.

As for me not getting back to any of you about my mods, there are a cpl reasons. The big one is real life, limiting my time. Too many PM's in my box. Lack of interwebs speed and any sort of web hosting on my ISP, BTW AT&T Sucks! I'm switching to Comcast in a cpl months, hope to get at least some decent speed.

Thanks for the info, But some of those mods you described are all ready on Filefront!!

I know that now, of course, but like I said earlier, I did this method solely because I posted in the thread where you request for links to mods and no one helped me out. So I found my own method, and it worked. But like you said, only some of his mods are on filefront. All of them can be accessed using this method. Although it is obsolete since his website is now back up and running.

Glad to see his site is up and running again, takes out all of the trouble of going to Wayback archive. Hopefully you will make some more sweet mods, RedHawke!

hehehe.. well, the site is back up in large part thanks to your method ;)

Helped me to download all the mods and add them to my archives.

After that, was only a matter of time before RH had his site back.

So a lot of that credit goes to you :D

No problem!

It's funny how one thousand plus people have seen this thread and possibly used this method and I only get thanks from a couple of people. At least I got thanks from cool guys haha :) Didn't expect RedHawke to reply to this thread!

Yeah they will be at dantooine. You can find them on the corpse's of dead jedi. You can also just use the give item cheat code, find the name of the specific robe you want, and then type it in.

I tried using the give item cheat code and it doesn't work, What exactly is the code supposed to be punched in as?
