There's also a peculiarity on today's puzzle that made it way easier. I wrote "sea" (already a short word) and only one option showed up which meant I didn't have to decifer which one was correct. If I had more options shown I'm sure it would take a few more seconds.

Mêlée’s streets have cobblestones and they lead uphill towards the governor’s mansion, so yeah.
 

The Scumm bar is located at the docks, outside the city walls.  Aka Mêlée town exterior (or SCUMM bar exterior according to some)

That's good to know. Another thing Sea Of Thieves kind of messed up then, which may be where my confusion came from
