Flying Beastie

It's that time of year again folks.

No, Massassi isn't having server trouble again (so far), it's Cupid's Day!

:elephant::monkey4:

And, given the depression-fest last year's party turned into, I'm trying something new this year. This is your chance to do Cupid's job and match up a hundred couples (or not).

Name your favourite couples from your fave shows/movies/books/comics/whatever. Couples that already exist in-continuity will be in bold.

Note that there's a difference between 'shipping and slash; couples must have some "on-screen" sparkage.

Star Trek (All generations):

*Trip/T'Pol (Would be nice, but it'd have to be secret; Sarek/Amanda are the first actual couple.)

*Mayweather/Hoshi (They're the same age, and the two most wide-eyed characters on the ship.)

*Riker/Troi (Imzadis forever.)

*Paris/Torres (Can't argue with success.)

*Doctor/Seven (The best pairing that ever was. Whoever came up with Chakotay/Seven should be thrown out an airlock.)

Star Wars:

*Luke/Mara (I've been a L/M 'shipper since the Zahn Trilogy. :D )

*Zekk/Jaina (This is one of the all-time classics, folks.)

*Jacen/Tenel Ka (We need to get these two together in NJO.)

*Kyp/Nen Yim (This would solve most of NJO's problems right there.)

*Qui-gon/Shmi (Tell me you didn't see the sparkage in TPM.)

I'm reserving my judgement on Anakin/Amidala until I see AotC.

Buffyverse (includes both BtVS and Angel:

*Buffy/Spike (Ever since Fool for Love.)

*Willow/Tara (Yeah, so they're lez. They're still the cutest couple anywhere.)

*Gunn/Fred (I was Angel/Fred for a while, but that was before Gunn started being charming.)

Gundam Wing:

*Zechs/Noin (These two could teach Heero/Relena [and everyone else, for that matter] what a real couple is.)

Andromeda:

*Bekka/Tyr (A Nietzschean and a human; star-cross'd lovers if ever were.)

*Rommie/Harper (I wanna see the "funny little guy" get the girl for once!)

Gargoyles (includes TGS/Timedancer/Pendragon):

*Goliath/Elisa (Beauty & the Beast redux.)

*Broadway/Angela (Let's hear it for the fat boy!)

*Brooklyn/Sata (Finally, true love for Tragedy Boy.)

*Xanatos/Fox (I was skeptical at first, but they make a cute couple.)

*Othello/Desdemona (Romance that's lasted a thousand years.)

*Coyote/Beth (Neither of which we've seen post-Unseelie. :( )

*Griff/Brianna (Griff makes a good match for the Shy One.)

Transformers:

*Arcee/Springer (From the series: after Rodimus proved he wasn't good enough for her.)

*T-ai/Sideburn (He seems to be the only person alive that can make her lose her temper. ;) )

Cardcaptors:

*Sakura/Li (Did Madison tell Sakura, or didn't she?)

*Madison/Eli (She'd be the only character not freaked out to learn the truth about him.)

I'd say Tori/Ruby, but she's Evil and he knows it.

Sailor Moon:

*Luna/Artemis (Much more chemistry than Meatball-Head and the Stuffed Suit.)

*Zoicite/Malachite (Proof that Evil Things need Love too.)

I honestly can't decide between Molly/Nephlyte and Molly/Melvin. Nephlyte's dead, but against Melvin that's not much of a disadvantage.;)

DC Universe:

*Aquaman/Wonder Woman (The sparkage was there, but never followed through on.)

*Superboy/Wonder Girl (If SB would just stop being a jerk.)

*Robin/Secret (Don't really know Spoiler, she seems a little too cling-y.)

Anyone else?

Oh oh.

So much for Beastie's hope of not turning this into a "depression-fest."

Well,.. do tell. Don't leave us hanging like this.

*smacks forehead*

How did I forget B5?!?

Babylon 5/Crusade:

*Sheridan/Delenn (A love that changed the course of history.)

*Marcus/Ivanova (I especially like the "happily ever after" scenario that JMS wrote in Strange Tales.)

*G'kar/Na'toth (Ever since her first ep, where she kicked the crap out of him [to "help" ;) ].)

*Zack/Lyta (Having someone show her a little luv would've probably saved a lot of trouble.)

*Galen/Dureena (Why else did Galen seem to go so far out of his way to bring her into the Crusade?)

And of course:

Dark Angel:

*Max/Logan (They're made for each other, and everyone knows it.)

And yes, Valentine's DayTM depresses me too, but nothing can be gained by sitting around moping. Might as well do something fun.

I believe in love. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of being a Nice Guy, which means I'm doomed to be single for the rest of my life.

I will not vent my disappointment with Valentines day on this public forum

Let jsut say, it isn't a happy one, and i think most intelligent people can figureit out.

no no no, Londo and G'kar. They woudl ahve gotten married too if Londa hadn't become the Emporer of the Centauri

Ahh, you have discovered the words that every woman wants to hear. You are indeed a true romantic. ;)

If only the world actually worked that way... we'd all be better off.

Valentine's Day was kind to me... Remember Amber-Lee? Well, she hooked me up with a friend a few weeks ago... It worked out great. On Valentine's Day, I had a single rose delivered to her in the morning with a card asking if she'd be my valentine, then at lunch I showed I showed up at her school at lunch in a suit, with a bouquet of roses... We officially became a couple about 3.84 seconds later.

:)
