I think he was refering to the person who bumped this I agree with phreak. The only time I call someone a noob is in their: "Hi, I'm new threads". Than I just give them the 'Annual Noob Poke' ™
leXX Posted April 10, 2003 Posted April 10, 2003 I think the 4th or 5th thread I ever made was about my hate for people who use the word.

Tyrion Posted April 11, 2003 Posted April 11, 2003 I use the term Newbie and Noob. However, they both mean totally different things. Newbies is someone who's new. It's not meant as a derogotory word at all. It isnt something to be ashamed of, everyone was a newbie at some point. Most newbies are nice and good people. Noobs, on the other hand, is something to be ashamed of being called. I dont call people noob because they're new, I call them that because they're new and the fact they either act like an ass, or make a big mockery of themselves.
whitedragon Posted April 11, 2003 Posted April 11, 2003 if i call someone a noob i only call them that to joke around i never took it to seriously when i was called a noob and i dont think anyone should take it seriously at all
Pedantic Posted April 11, 2003 Posted April 11, 2003 Goddamn, y'all are so sensitive. Who gives a flying **** what people call you? If someone calls you something, just say to yourself, **** 'em, and go on with your life. Just my philosophy.
