I watched Brazil a couple of weeks ago. Very weird film, but I loved it.

I actually thought the ending was sort of happy... The hero escaped the bad guys, just not in the conventional way. In any case it's more satisfying than Time Bandit's ending.

The offices reminded me of Grim Fandango, too. The computers and the tube message system, etc.

Munchausen is another great one too. Too bad it flopped.

I can't wait for Good Omens.

Terry Gilliam was going to do a Don Quixote film, but one of the actors got injured so they shelved it. They're probably not even going to make it anymore. And that really sucks 'cause Johnny Depp was gonna be in it.

And Good Omens I do really want to see. It was based on a book by Terry Pratchett and that guy is hilarious. The discworld books were awesome(DEATH is the best character).

Trapezpoid, I totally agree about the happy ending. The main theme of the movie really was the beauty of dreams and the nightmare of reality. And at the end, he got to live in the beautiful world his subconcious created.

The Monty Python films were exellent, yes. (Gilliam was the brigdekeeper, my favorite part in Holy Grail.)

But I highly suggest to those who have only seen the Monty Pythons to see his others. He is truly a genius. Jabberwocky was his first movie that he solely directed. Though, Time Bandits, Brazil(my favorite), The Adventures of Baron Munchausen(my second favorite), The Fisher King, Twelve Monkeys(Awesome!) were all incredible movies.

I didn't really like Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, though. The first hour of the movie was interesting, but I almost fell asleep after that. Yes, it was well directed(After all, it was Gilliam) and really did take you into a world, the acting was pretty good(Depp for Christ's sake) but I just was bored, those two hours seemed like 8 hours to me and nothing really happened in the movie anyway. It didn't even really have a plot. My friends keep trying to persuade me otherwise, but I think I'll stick to my opinion. Apologies for the fans!

my closests friends think I am

a Fear and Loathing Fisher King,

because what J. Depp

saw in Las Vegas

is part of my daily life.

and during the Fisher King I pulled

a weird Robbin Williams in the theatre.

also glad to see\hear people remember

and have seen Time Bandits & Jabberwocky.

Wow golden oldies! and Terry is a god.

BUT! and I mean BUT!

the 20 odd extra minutes

of the fly eye camera

at the beginning of the Directors version

of the Brazil DVD is really NOT Neccessary.

and for the records,

Neil Gaiman world famous comic book

(but won a litterary award!!!! Yeah!)

co-wrote Good Omens.

re-reading it now.
