How and the waving Guybrush one...please I don't think the one with Elaine controlling the rollercoaster was ever animated. There might have been storyboards (someone with the official player's guide could probably verify this) but not a completed version. After all, what point would there be in cutting a finalized cutscene?
elTee
God, CMI is so so good. I just wish it tied in with the first two a bit better. I still love it like one of my own children though. As far as I know, most of the scenes from CMI that aren't in the game weren't made or finished. About the song and the Germans... well, they can't expect the actors to sing in two languages can they? Besides, not meaning to be racist, but German's such a gutteral language, I doubt if anything rhymes. So I'd be suprised if an English song that rhymes could translate into German and still sound like a song and not dialogue.
scabb
It's just too bad about the World Cup. I was rootin' for them, even though they didn't really deserve to get that far (USA outplayed them!) Cheating, Diving Brazilians. Ich spiele gern fussball mit meinen freunden! Ich habe eine schwarze und weisse fussball! Fussball ist gut! Wie komme ich am besten du Bahnhof gespielt? Deutschland ist gut! I earned that 'C' in GCSE German (That's what I'll probably get )

Compared to the Brazilians, anyway. DIE RIVALDO ho-ho-ho, what rivaldo did with the ball hitting his leg and pretending it was his face was really low. And he shouldve been suspended for the rest of the tournament for that.. however mind you that the german attacker Klose did a pretty clear fake dive for a penalty in one of the final matches as well. That's cheating too. I hate faking injuries etc.
TheKiller
When did the idea that LucasArts may be rereleasing 'updated' versions of old games originally come from? Or was the SCUMMVm incident the first sign it may be happening?
Schmatz
Well, LEC is on SCUMMv's ass about copyright problems, so I wouldn't be surprised if they do the same thing SCUMMv does, taking their idea and making money off of it.. even Jeffery told us that he had an idea to put the classic games online so people who play sequels to games (like someone has EMI for PS2, but doesn't know the background of MI) would understand more of the jokes, etc. I can't wait (because I want to play games WITHOUT having sound problems )

To get on-topic: It ist possible to translate English songs, but they are not literal translations. And it ist very difficult to make them. elTee
Ahh German goalkeepers... Schumakker: the dirtiest foul ever made by a professional - he nearly broke that Frenchmans neck. Who was the guy who conceded FIVE in Munich when we decided to play properly? And we only lost to Brazil because David Seaman hurt his back in the first half, and Rivaldo (he really pissed the Turks off, didn't he) scored. Ronaldinhos goal was a fluke. You wait till we come to Germany in 2 years. Our squad will have matured and developed as a team. We will win in Germany (again.) And, unlike the Germans, the English still appreciate skill even if the opposition do cheat. Maradona? Hand of God? What a second goal though. Ok, so I hate the Germans when we talk about football. But thats it. I really admire thier games playing population, who support LucasArts (well, adventure games) the most in the world. And I love Hot Dogs. Boris Becker was cool too. DasJan
Sorry, I don't remember Schumacher's foul, because I wasn't even born when he played. But you won't win in Germany when Kahn is still our goalkeeper. When you exclude the final we only got 1 goal in the whole tournament. And I don't think your "squad will have matured and developed" in two years. Pigs don't mature and develop before they get slaughtered, too. Oh, I love this comparison But I don't dislike England too, I only dislike your soccer, your breakfast and Hugh Grant. I love Monty Python and doesn't Broken Sword come from England? Great games! So let's hug each other and live in peace and love to the end of being Das Jan P.S.: I don't think Hot Dogs are a German invention.

elTee
I know what your saying, and I agree, but I don't think what happened is forgivable. I just see them as two different people - Germans and Nazis. Just because of WWII some people associate the two together. I hope that doesn't sound racist, what I'm trying to say is that you can't forgive the people who were involved with the holocaust, but it wasn't the Germans who did that, it was the Nazis. So the Nazis were based in Germany, and many of them were German. So what? Thats no reflection on the German people. I mean, Hitler was Austrian, and people aren't so hostile to the Austrians. They just get Nazis and Germans confused. I really am not racist, but I hope you see my point. If anyone takes offence at this, then it is unintentional, and I apologise. I've been to Germany, and I love it there. I'm going there in 2004 to watch England with the European Championships. Do you see what I'm trying to say? Blame the Nazi's for World War II, blame the Germans for always (always always always) winning on penalties. WHY DO YOU ALWAYS WIN??

elTee
Yeah I know what you mean. Manny_c444, I did this period in history, and I have to say, if I lived in Germany in the 1930's I would have voted for the Nazi's too. No-one could really see what was going to happen, or how bad it would be. They were in a bad way after WWI, and no-one seemed to want to try and get the German people back on thier feet. Hitler made out he could do that.

Refused to fight? That would have probably resulted in your death. And remember, most of the Germans involved probably didn't have much of a clue what was going on, they thought that they were the good guys.
