What major difference, describing the origin of Master Splinter, is there between the Cartoon Series, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and the live-action movie of the same title?

ok wait i think i know.....

 

i know in the movie spinter was a pet rat in a cage in the dogo that sheder was also in...

 

i think in the cartoons he was an experiment rat from the lab that made the ozie....

 

 

Thought i could be way of on the last part....
