leXX Posted August 1, 2002 Posted August 1, 2002 Yes, TPM duel was great indeed but I think the Geonosis Arena battle had far more to offer. It's the first time we get to see all the Jedi battling together and showing their true brilliance! It's the first time we realise how great the Jedi were, as mentioned by Obi Wan in the OT.

Throno-Denkai Posted August 1, 2002 Posted August 1, 2002 Obi-wan vs Maul. Fast, acrobatic and good moves, I cant believe Obi-wan couldn't do the same at episode II. And you are right, Qui-gon is the best character in the movie series, he might have lived if George Lucas made episode 1 before episode 4,5 and 6 . Not to mention that his force was really strong, it might be even stronger than Vaders. He was one of the few jedis that passed the force meditation really easily. Most of the jedis lose their minds during the meditation.

OnlyOneCanoli Posted August 1, 2002 Posted August 1, 2002 Well, if I was voting for visuals and "wowness" alone, I would have to go with TPM. But when you add in the suspense and the storyline ramifications of each saber duel along with the eye candy, I'd have to go with AOTC, then ESB, then RotJ.

The prequals are just the sold out vision of george lucas. Lucas rocked when he made the first three movies... but now he's just trying to please everyone. The yoda battle was the rape of the vision of yoda. The real yoda is the one we saw in esb and rotj. And Darth Maul is the worst sith ever. You only like him cause of his lightsaber. You guys are such children... Vader is the sweetest Sith ever. If Maul wouldn't have died at the hands of obiwan he would have been slaughtered by Vader. Rotj has the greatest saber battle. It was more tuned into the characters.

He didn't pay attention so a sith APPRENTICE killed him. Obiwan is the only cool thing in the prequal series. The prequals are recycled storylines. That are too close to the original trilogy. To me, the death of Quigon was the best part of that movie. You should have seen the grin on my face when he died. Maul sucks cause he had like 3 seconds to slice ben in half before ben grabbed that saber and chooped him. watch it again, see the time lapse. Horrible. Vader used a strong style of combat. Along with plenty of Force moves. He is by FAR the coolest sith. So you kiddies can keep your quick moves and double sabers. But I know a good story when i see one. And tpm and aotc were not good stories... just veriations of the original trilogy. I'm glad they killed quigon off.
