The Truthful Liar
The worst I've witnessed is death. Yes, it was caused by an accident - Car+Drinking = no no. Yeah... that's pretty bad huh?

BCanr2d2
Not sure if I have really seen any really bad injuries, other than wathcing sport and seeing people injure knees, mine included. Just to look down, seeing your body out of position, and waiting for the pain to begin.....

PODguy87
well one day, it was basketball practice it was a good 95 degrees out and we were in a nasty stuffy gym, therefore there were pools of sweat lying everywhere, and it was before school so the cleaners didnt deliver the towels to clean it up with yet. and me and these two kids were practicing, one of them, we'll call him justin i was really good friends with. the other (peter) was the kid who got hurt. he was dribbling down the court and he went right through a puddle, slipped slid and bent his knee sideways (instead of back and forth) and looked like this \ \ \ \ \ \ | | / / / / / / and we all heard that snapping, it was the worst thing ive ever whitnessed, truely disgusting. he eventually got to the hospital (took way to long because of our lame-ass school) That reminds me of the one time in 3D art where my friend and me were cutting up cardboard for a project and wiht the big paper cutters (the ones that go like up and down) and he wasnt paying attention and chopped a good part of his thumb off. I being his friend, had the pleasure of wrapping the tip of his thumb in a paper towl and brought him down to the nurse. And my high school, not exactly having the brightest people running it, didnt let him go to the hospital or call an ambulance, but the next day, the nurse had an ambulance rush over for a girl who pulled a muscle in her leg. go figure there ya go Ian

Weapon X
i was wrestlin around w/one of my friends in our city park and he picked me up over his shoulder(like that sack of potatoes game you play w/little kids) and he dropped me, now i've been in that situation before, but this time my arm(they used to hyper extend til i got buff;) ) was extended all the way so it bent backwards: / \ more of an angle than that though, then it snapped back the way it was supposed to go \ / and locked in 90 degrees, my arm was all messed up, bumps and divots everywhere, i thought it was just dislocated so after saying f*ck a whole lotta times i set up to knock it back in place but something told me not to do it, so i didn't, got to the hospital and everything, they fixed me up, surgery and whole lotta drugs, and i found out if i HAD knocked it back in place it woulda severed the nerve and my arm woulda been useless, that woulda sucked, i was in and out of the hospital in less than a day, went in at 10:30p.m. and got out in time to get sympathy from da beautiful women and see my baseball team play for a little bit, around 5p.m. and was out of the cast in 28 days, stitches came out after 14 days, pins came out the last day, my arm was so small and weak, and i had NO feeling in my elbow for almost a year, i still can't feel it sometimes

Lunatic Jedi
HOLY SHIZNIT! These are the most disgusting, gut wrenching injuries I've ever heard! I'm happy to say I don't have anything personal to contribute, but I know someone who had a nasty injury a couple years back. During our track and field unit, this kid in the grade right below me, Curtis, was practicing the high jump. He cleared the bar, and missed the landing mat completely. He fell squarely on his head, cracking it open pretty badly. There was blood spilled on the pavement. Nasty. He laid there for about half an hour because the P.E. teacher, a trained field physician, didn't want to move him due to his head injury. Eventually he was taken off on a stretcher. Ouch. Y2Joker420
I just thought I would tell you all about the worst and yet dumbest injury I have ever witnessed. My Friend and I were at a bar drinking up some woobly pop (Beer) and a few shooters. We decided that we must be headed out and started off home. My friend had ridden his mountain bike to the bar thinking that , Hey I only have 20 bucks how trashed am I gonna get. Little did he know that I had more than enough money to get him trashed (what are friends for). So anyway we were walking home and he triped on something small like a pebble or something and fell into his bike. severall loud poping noises and a lot of screaming later to discover that he not only broke the bone just under his knee (in the front) he also broke the bone just above his ankle (in the back) So he had absolutly no support under his knee at all beeing that he broke both bones in his left leg. it's now 3 months later and he no longer has the full crotch to toe cast but a simple knee to toe cast that will be there for annother 2 months. F*ck drinking and driving don't drink and walk your bike either.
Lunatic Jedi
Better yet: If you've been drinking, just don't move. Hold as still as possible.
Boba Rhett
When I was about six-seven my dad told me we were going to go eat in town. I was so excited I went to run downstairs to tell my mom. Our stairs only have one side to them so I only went half way down and then leaned over the edge to talk to her and tell her we were going. Well... I slipped off the stairs and fell about five feet onto a small old ringer clothes dryer. They have rather large, blunt metal poles on the top of them and when I fell I hit one of them and it went half way through my uper leg "starting on the inside", hit my femur, slid upwards and around my femur, then tore itself back out when I stood up. I remember getting up and just standing there in complete shock, I looked down at my leg and stuff was falling out of it. I started to laugh. Then I looked up and saw my mother screaming but I couldn't hear her. Finally that's when I passed out. I had to be carried around for 4 months and I still have problems with my leg. Elijah
Shall i put you all to shame? It all started out on the morning of June 9th (4 years ago)... when my dad decided to set a pool up in my back yard, so he got a tracktor... well, to make a long story short he started leveling the front yard and i got in the way of a brickwall and the bucket of the tractor... after: 8 broken bones, 2 opperations, 15 sitchests and 16 staples and months of lying in bed... here i am today did i also add, one of the 8 bones was the biggest bone in the human body? also... it didnt hurt much untill i got to the hosptial.. Peace out -ŽÐąώĝ
Lunatic Jedi
That's because for a little while after a severe injury, your nerves are overloaded with pain. You don't even feel it because your nerves are overworked and you're usually passed or something.
Weapon X
i never felt pain when i broke my arm, til my dad moved my hand, which has muscles that effect/are attached to the elbow, that hurt like a bitch cuz it was tearing them a little bit, and the next day all the nurses were trying to give me pain killers and trying to keep the IV in, i said "no, i don't need pain killers, and get this thing out of my arm" so about mid morning they took the IV out cuz i was eating all my food, and didn't believe me i didn't need pain killers, well cuz i did that the bill was probably $100 (if not more) less, hospital food is good, and i now have a scar on my right elbow that, when i turn it upside down, frowns cuz of the 2 pin holes and surgery scar

Darth Talliusc
ive got a few to contribute: the first i witnessed from inside my karate dojo which is along the main street of downtown kingston (my hometown). i was doing some kata or another and i was faced towards the big wall window at the front of the dojo, at that exact moment a woman on a bike pulled up on the side of the road across the street near a tree. i think she was going to lock her bike and walk over to wherever she was going. but a truck came out of nowhere going way to fast and rammed into her from behind. she was still on her bike as she was hit from behind into the parked car infront of her. she went through the back window and there was blood everywhere. i froze. i couldnt believe my eyes. the sound that the accident had caused alerted everybody else in the dojo and a few of us ran across the street to check on her condition while my friend john called the ambulance. surprisingly she wasnt too badly hurt (weird eh). the driver did time, not sure how much. the second one happened to me: i was rollerblading to school one day last fall, my route takes me past a friend of mines house. i was going across a street near a very sharp corner. the speed limit was 50 but just then a guy came around the corner in a black honda and damn near killed me. i jumped out of the way and skidded along the pavement for about 4 feet. my face and arms were badly cut up. i could feel skin hanging off of my face and all i could think was "nicole wont like that" (a girl ive been infatuated with for some time) i started to stand up and saw all the blood i'd left on the ground. i didnt feel anything because my nerves must have been overloaded. i proceeded to rollerblade to school and didnt see my friend. (i decided to NOT stop at his house). as i neared the building i ran into a group of about 8 of my friends walking in front of me, none of them saw me coming up from behind so i decided to have a little fun. i tapped Dane on the shoulder (an australlian exchange student friend of mine), he turned back said hey and kept on talking. then just stopped. looked back at me again and screamed. i walked around my school for a little whiule trying to find my mom (shes a teacher at my school). after causing more then a few people to scream i decided to go to the office and page her from there, our school nurse (mr. pain. seriously thats our nurse) touched me up in the library. i puked during the nation anthem (which the crazy ol nurse made me stand at attention for). i missed a week or two of school but there was no lasting scars. the final story of mine is the one im least proud of. as it was my fault and i was a real moron. here goes: theres a kid at my school that i never got along with, we regularly got in tussles and more often then not tried to get the other expelled. one day in english class the kid was being an ass (like usual) calling me on and such. it got to the point where he pushed me into the desk so i pushed him back and he toppled over his backpack, he got back up and rather then look weak he picked up his chair and tried to spear me with it. i grabbed two of the chair legs (that he had so rudely pointed at me) and swung them to my left. i ripped the chair free of his grip and swung all the way around (i had expected more resistance so i pulled rather hard). before i knew it was i was spun completely around and had smacked the kid in the face with the base of the chair. he went down and bled all over the floor. hes fine now and we dont fight anymore. just ignore each other as much as we can. ShockV1.89
A long time ago, I was riding my bike away from a friends house. I turned and waved, but as I turned, the motion of my upper body caused the handle bars to swing to the right. I swerved and slammed my shoulder right into the sharp corner of a mailbox. Knocked me right off of my bike. Blood gushing everyone, I was screaming and crying (I was 8). Docter said it scraped the bone, but for some reason, he didnt put stitches in. There's a scar there now. Another time, I was in autoshop class, and I was fixing up an old moped. The metal fuel line was bent out of shape, so I put it in a vice grip and tried to bend it back. It just snapped instead, and I scraped the top of my finger. I looked at it for a second, shrugged, and undid the vice. Then a classmate said "Dude, your finger is all messed up.." I looked, and it turned out the jagged edge had literally scooped out a large chunk of flesh from the side of my finger. I could see the bone staring out at me. It didnt hurt at all, and it didnt bleed much either. A little, but no gushing streams. I went down to the nurses office, and she pulled a bunch of metal splinters out of my finger. Then it started hurting... ShockV1.
Lunatic Jedi
Ugh! Some of these are too disgusting to believe! But I do anyway. Hey, Kal-El, have any pictures of the lady that jumped off the building? I'm sad to report that I've never gotten to see someone hurl themself off a building and get splattered. Especially since its something I've always wanted to see. (Yes, I'm a sick freak, no need to report it)

PODguy87
that reminds me of the time i was scootering a few years ago (on a real moterized scooter) and the sterring weel did like a 180 and i fleww off and dragged on the asfault (sp?) on my bair knee and ripped the skin off, it didnt really hurt, but my brother came out and saw a good sized chunk of skin on the ground and looked at my knee and said "holy god ian!! i can see your bone!!" and i looked down and was like "oh crap, moms gunna kill me" and i went inside and wrapped it in a paper towel trying to hide it, but my mom, following the trail of blood, looked down at my sock and it was soaking in blood, she screamed "oh my god Ian what'd you do??" and as we were on our way to the hospital my little brother goes in the street and retreaves the disconnected peice chunk of skin. and at the hospital, the nurse and doctor were always out of the room at the wrong time, for instance, the bleeding stopped for a few minutes, so the nurse left, a few seconds later it started gushing blood, and the doctor rushes in and starts stitching me up, and im screaming and he asks the nurse "did you give him novacain??" and she left to get the novacain, and my dad (doesnt live with me doesnt have a drivers liscence) bummed a ride from my older brother, and starts bitching at the doctor. well thats my story Ian
