If I had to rank them...then it's Brosnan, Connery and Moore.

Brosnan has brought back the gritty edge to the character that Connery portrayed well in the first few Bond movies...while bringing his own brand of humour and dynamism to the role.

Connery was the first, and excellent in the role, but seemed to get more bored with every film in the series that he made. Until I started watching the featurettes on the DVDs, I hadn't realised he did a few of his own stunts (especially in From Russia With Love)...from the fight on the train with Robert Shaw to actually dodging that helicopter.

Moore definitely had the humour, the charm...and lots and lots of gadgets. I especially like the two films (The Spy Who Loved Me and Moonraker) where he faces off against Jaws - one of the most memorable Bond villains.

But I have to respect Dalton for doing several of his own stunts as well.

As for the next Bond...well, they've got to knock Pierce off his perch first, considering he's already signed on the dotted line for the next one in the series. :)

I'm still debating with myself about seeing Ewan McGregor in the role...

My favourite Bond is....

Ah.. MAN! Why do I ever bther answering this question It only ever gets me flamed... Shucks - well, come this far - may as finish myself off!

Timothey Dalton.

He was the actor truest to the boks, and it has been remarked on several occasions, by even Desmon Llwellyn, that he was as such.

His roguish upper class accent and darker take was excellent. LTK was good - Bond going AWOL - he fited that PERFECTLY.

Now before you all set upon me like sex starved Hutts (uuooigh.. new worlds most horrific imagery!), why does he get slated more than even George Lazenby - for OHMSS sake - he wasn't even BRITISH - HE WAS OZZY! (Have nothing against Ozzies, but he was not really born for the roll, was he!)

Sean Connery, mainly because he had a sense of style that only he captured playing bond.

Pierce Brosnan would be second, though the last two movies after golden eye got progressively worse, I got high hopes for tomorrow never dies though.

Roger Moore was also very good in some, actually the same if not better than Brosnan, but i think he played the role way too long, and he waas too old in his last movies:(

the worst has to be George Lazenby.... he lacked confidence and never captured the role.

Critics may have like Goerge, but I didnt like him. He was too stuffy and boring. Roger Moore should get more credit than he does. I mean he doesnt hold a candle to Connery or Brosnan but he was Bond when I first discovered 007. Brosnan was amazing in the last 4 films. I hope he does one or two more.
