What do you think of "Die Another Day", the latest James Bond film? Did it live up to your expectations, or were you left wanting more from 007?

I loved it. Perfectly done, with stylish action scenes and brilliant dialogue, plus the Aston Martin V12 Vanquish is just the best car in the entire world! The best Bond film in a while, if not ever, and I give it 10/10.

More gadgets?

You had the laser watch, the sonic glass-shattering ring, the underwater breathing device, about ten different gadgets on the Aston Martin V12 Vanquish, about four different gadgets on the Jaguar, the Icarus space weapon, the Icarus conrtol suit, the rip-chord which both Jinx and Bond used, all those weapon-laden hovercraft and the C4 in the diamond case.

Enough, or are you never pleased?

Err... Laser watch is old, breathing device is old, car weapons are old, other cars weapons are old, the rip-chord things were kind of stupid, Icarus isn't a gadget, the control suit had a cool/lame combo going on and I don't consider C4 a "gadget" either....

I liked his lil' ring though.

Your definition of what a "gadget" is needs to be greatly refined. :indif:

I liked it alot. I may see it again soon. Man the theater was PACKED! I was one of the last people to get a ticket. The Force was with me cause I was alone and found a great seat in the middle center. Most of the peole were in groups so there were several single places left.:D

A gadget is an electronic (or not) device which is not classed as a weapon, rather a mission aid to unlock doors/cut through locks/see through walls/shatter glass.

Icarus is a kind-of gadget because it's not just a weapon, it can also light up darkness. Surely it's just an expensive flashlight, which can be classed as a gadget.

I've never seen a car in James Bond become invisable before, have you? That's not an old car gadget. The mini-gun on the Jaguar has never been used before, neither have the laser-guided shotguns on the bonnet of the Aston Martin.

The laser watch and breathing device are both gadgets which are used frequently, fair enough, but they have never been used in that combination before. This makes them new and exiting.

The rip-chords aren't stupid. Without them, Bond would have been shot inside the bio-dome and would not have been able to run down the side of the structure to escape.

C4 is a kind-of gadget, because it was linked to the watch in order to detonate, and the watch is a classic gadget. So there we go...

Again... quite a loose view of what a gadget is. If those things were considered gadgets, then I would've been satisfied.

We've seen guns on the cars before. Oh, it's a shot gun you say? *yawn* The car turning invisible was cool.

Using two old gadgets (watch & breather) within a short period of time may enthral you but I want to see new things.

I suppose C4 is kind of a gadget... in the same way that paper clips and shoe laces are gadgets...

I happen to consider shoe laces and paper clips essential 'aids to my mission' every day.

I don't really care, the film was perfect anyway, so there we go. James Bond 007 rules (alongside Star Wars) and you could never make a bad Bond film.

Unless 007 declaired himself a gay Russian agent who wears contact lenses and has secretly been sleeping with his old boss (the first M) to stay in Her Majesty's Secret Service and continue feeding information to the Russians.

Acually Lord Of The Rings is second only to Star Wars. After that any epic like Bond, Matrix, or Terminator is there. Maybe Aliens versus Predator will make it. I hope:sweat:

I liked it. It was good. Like Rhett said though, It wasn't the best.

(that title belongs to Goldeneye)

I didn't like the fact he was cought in the beginning. I was expecting Bond to do some clever getaway like he usually does, the camera do a close up, and he tugs on his coller. I didn't get it, and I was a bit stunned.

Loved it. Not perfect, but good. After this movie, I'm convinced that Brsonan beats out Connery as the best Bond ever - he played the role absolutwly perfectly this time around.

I loved the new direction they took in this one. The first hour definitely didn't seem like a Bond movie at all. But I enjoyed it, it was a new spin on an old thing.

The plot, baddies, and girls were all adequate, and some really nice action scenes took place. Oe thing I disliked was the entire surfing scene with a parachute after Icarus broke the glacier. It was just so fake. And as was said, the gadgets were a bit off the mark, except for the handy ring. The car was pretty cool though. Oh, and John Cleese pulled through as the new Q quite well. :)
