Darth Talliusc Posted November 29, 2002 Share Posted November 29, 2002 i voted GC. just a note though. reading the Xbox vs GC thread i noticed that GC is beating it by a fair bit. but in this thread Xbox beats out the GC. this tells me that ppl who love Ps2 etc most prefer GC over Xbox. am i wrong? anyways its different from person to person, we like different foods we like different games we like different systems. but we ALL love starwars so lets just enjoy that. He said it was cheap. And this is true. I live in Canada by the way so prices will sound different to you Americans. Where I live X-Box is 299$ with 2 games and 2 controllers. That is an extremely good deal considering the power that X-Box holds, the quality of its games, and the fact that when it came out not too long ago it was 799$ with no games. Yes, Nintendo Gamecube is a lower price but it was always at a low price. The X-Box had a tremendous price drop. If the X-Box still cost 500+ dollars I probably would not have bought it. So...PS2 is a good system....but X-Box is a better system. So you hate X-Box because of its huge controller? Well, they have an S-Type controller that is very similar to the size of PS2. I don't care wich system has the most games, best controllers, most compact disks, best graphics, or user friendlyness. It's all about the frigin games It's hard not to flame but I wont I like all three systems, but game cube least. I don't have enough money to buy 20 $70 dollar games(canadian) I only get three or four. For x- box I like: Halo, amped, Morrowind, and test drive(only a little). That I've played. I don't own an x-box but my friend does. splinter cell I will definetly get, halo 2, and the new starwars game. and I probably wont buy all the ones I said I liked. And I have morrowind on cp anyway. acctually I'll probably just get splinter cell, halo 2, and star wars. on ps2 I only have gta vice city and gta3, My brother owns final fantasy x, I still have a ps1, 64, snes, and nes. but I sold most of the games. I will get a job soon though and then I'll buy more. I only like smash bros melee, resident evil, and tony hawlks(that I've played) on gamecube. but metroid prime looks cool. And I will definetly buy bounty hunter for ps2. you say x-box isn't user friendly, who cant figure out an x-box. and magazines are just trying to put down big corperations. It's the same with NASA. I like computer too, I own just as many games for that as for my systems. If x-box isnt user friendly what is computer. computer is way harder to figuter out. there I didn't flame. It's about the quality in each game. Do I care if PS2 has more games...no. Do I care that X-Box is made by Microsoft...no. Here is an example. If X-Box made the best games (which they do) and it was called the Fisher Price X-Box and it was a bright pink system with butterflies all over it. If it had the best games I would still buy it. CagedCrado Posted December 12, 2002 Share Posted December 12, 2002 If you want to talk about quantity over quality you are wrong about xbox having quality, it is definetly a quantity based system coming out with close to 200 games in a year, nintendo is quality based so if you want to get the most quality and effort put into the games you buy game cube is number one. there are a few good games that have a lot of quality on all the systems, but in the end nintendo will always put the highest amount of quality into the games it makes. Im not speaking for the third parties that make games on game cube, but there are more games than you give it credit for. Also, this thread is very biased as the starter openly supports xbox and has probably attempted to draw other xbox users in. I played xbox once, it was ok, it jsut hurt my hands to play.
