dammit, no worky....

hrmm?

oh, yeah, so, are we talking about the worst nightmare you can remember having, or the worst posible one rather?

I gonna have to think for a sec on this....

thinking about this, I almost drowned once, but gaddammit, it never gave me a nightmare, nor put me off water.

I suppose having to drown over and over again would not be cool... but I never had that dream.

once, being chased by a dog would have been murder on me, but I cant say now....

re: plane crash. meh. big deal.

I have had lucid dreams before, but not nightmares(afaik). the dreams were not dat bad:D

I remember one that happend once... its happend since then =, but not the bad part.

its when you are 100% awake, but unable to move AT ALL. I have heard about this since, so its not just me. the thing I remember, I think I was about 4 or 5... it had to have been a full moon that night, but being stuck like that(not fun... at all*shudder*) with a room full of shadow casting items... and a mind that likes to see things.... that was a nasty night....

that would be it I guess, being traped in yourself.(I dont mean a lucid dream, I mean AWAKE)

as I write this, more things float to the top about this dream(it happend to me once 13 years ago, thats what we're talking about here:))

I gotta take a min now to replace these memorys.... brb.;)

After that comes drowning and then being burnt to death.

Some of you seem to focus on physical torture. I'd say if you fear physical pain, there are other, more brutal and drawn out ways to experience it - dying those ways are actually pretty quick: When drowning you pass out quickly, and with burning you actually tend to suffocate to death.

Our body has a neat system of letting us pass out we suddenly feel an immense pain - overloading our brain with pain signals, so to speak. Unfortunetaly, this doesn't apply to the slow and agonizing tortures being employed around the world...

I didn't say they were the slowest and most agonizing ways to die, neither did anyone else. This is about OUR worst nightmares, our own personal fears. I have always feared drowning and burning and I obviously realise they are not the worst ways to die, but those are the ones I fear the most.

Oh sorry, misunderstood you...

Althought I can't quite follow your logic: You know it's not the most painful way to die, yet you fear it more?

I was once close to drowning: "Of course I can swim out on the deep water without aid - *plop* *glug glug glug*...."

Was not very pleasant but it was over quick, thankfully - I pulled myself up with much desperation and pretended nothing had happened

Now that we're on the topic: I have a big scar on the palm of my right hand: I cut myself on a flintstone when I was young and the only thing I can remember is that my entire hand was red with blood, completely soaked and it hurt like hell :(

Well, these aren't nescessarily nightmares but I shall let you know of a couple of my worst fears.

First, having spiders lay nests in my brain, it's happened to people before and one of my mother's friends had some sort of ant/creature/bug/thing laying deep in her ear. After I heard and thought about this (I must have been about 12) I decided that I definetly didn't want that to happen to me.

Second, a more recent yet nevertheless horrifying experience which I can imagine. Driving a motorcycle and being tagged by another car then a passenger in the car yanks you off and sticks a grenade in your helmet then shuts the visor and chucks you out of the car, then, as you rise desperatly trying to take your helmet off the grenade goes ...

Yeah, ok, Perhaps it's all in the mind and I try to remind myself that every day.

Who said it had to be logical? I fear getting stung by a wasp more than any other insect/animal! Logical? no but we all have our own little phobias.

You don't have to get it Jais. The human mind is a complex thing. You really should stop trying to psychoanalyse everything.

I was stung by a wasp when I was a little girl. That should start you realising that there is a reason behind every persons thoughts and people are not always going to think the same way you do. Who are you Spock? Does there have to be logic behind every thought a person has?

Oh, sorry again :(

I have a little phobia for spiders as well, but if I were to actually *compare* spiders to a man-hungry lion, I'd forget about my phobia in a split second.

Not logic behind everything per se, but when asked about one's fear of death I'd ditch my pet fears and go for what I truly would fear.

hrmm.... cjais is nuts..... anyway...

geting stung by a wasp, i've had that before... was'nt FUN or anything, but the pain was not overwheming.

let me describe it for you. its quick. unless you see it, you dont know til the bastard stings you. its odd, not like a needle, but a very hard fast pinch. the pain comes later... I dont know, perhaps there is pain from the start, but the rage of having to get the bastard off of you must overcome the pain...

I understand that bee's are are much worse, but we only have wasps here:)

I experienced my worst nightmare about 2 years ago. It was a schoolnight. I went to sleep like normal, nothing on my mind.

I "wake up" and my mom walks in the room and says time for school. Then her mouth keeps growing and she pulls a gun out of her pocket and shoots me. I feel myself actually go numb in the dream.

I "wake up" again. My mom walks in the room and says time for school. I'm saying to myself, "Whew, it was only a dream." I step out of bed and the floor breaks and I fall through the floor. I keep falling and falling while images of my loved ones flash around my face.

This time I actually wake up. My mom walks in the room says time for school and I literally scream at her to go away and I think I swore at her and everything. Then I realized that it wasn't a dream this time. My mom was mad at me for a week till I explained it to her.

Funny thing is, I remember the nightmare perefectly, as clear as day. And I remember that when I actually woke up my ;leg was numb for a minute or too...

I walk into my bathroom, it's full of steam. Im in my robe, and I approach the mirror, which is all fogged up. I start to wipe a spot clear on the mirror, and as soon as I do, I look and see my reflection. But in the reflection, there is another me, coming up behind me with a knife. He raises it up, brings it down, and I wake up.

I used to have nightmares about wasps a lot when I was younger. I sometimes still do.

Don't know why anyone would ph34r bees. They're not mean. They can only sting once and then they die. Bees are not eeeevil like wasps. Bees don't think like: "Oh gee, there's a little kid eating ice cream. I'll just sting him a couple of times in the FACE so that he drops the yummy ice cream and I can eat it all myself. Bwhahahahaha!" (Yeah, it happened.)

In my dream there are billions of wasps or just one. One is enough 'cause it keeps circleing me and I can't hit it no matter how hard I try (just like IRL).

It stings me over and over again and I try to escape but it's hopeless. I run inside and shut the door, but it(/they) gets in through the window. I ran into a room, but there is just enough space under the door for it to get in. No matter where I go it always gets in through the ventilation system or whatever.

GOD DAMN WASP LEAVE ME ALONE ALREADY!!!!!!!!!!!! :swear:

I've seen some movies about bees where similar stuff happens...freaks me out.

Anyways, I think I'm doing pretty well. I'm still alive and I bet I've killed a thousand of them to every sting they scored. I won't stop untill they're all dead, though... damn wasps!

Btw - did you know that if you take a long stick and shove it up a wasps ass, it can't manouver anymore? It'll just fly straight forward and bumb into stuff HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...uhmm...I really hate wasps. :(
