Toonces
They've been around for a couple of years now I think, they are a small company, but I haven't heard anything bad about them. Should you buy from them? That's your call, but I'd recomend custom building your own if you have the time and ability

Toonces
I built my last computer for a little over $1200, it really depends on what you want to get. $1200 may seem low to some but I upgrade parts frequently so my system is always high end I build computers for a living, a high end system SHOULD run you anywhere between $1100 and $2000, but it depends on what all you need. I'm going to replace my Motherboard with one of the new Nforce boards this winter, followed by a new proccessor durring the spring time
Darth Groovy
I came about this close || to buying one. Reason I didn't is that it was just way too much money for my college student budget. A tower with all the junk in the trunk would have set me back about 2G, but I wound up getting an HP invent for around $800 instead. You know when all is said and done the HP really is a good computer for your money! No complaints from me!
Ratmjedi
If you are a hardcore gamer than I suggest you get one cause they are sweat. I bought mine but it isn't a Alienware but it is a good gaming computer. I also learning more about Computers so that I can start to upgrade so that I don't have to buy a completly new computer everysingle time. Right now I am thinking about getting my RAM up to 512 instead of 226 and I also plan on getting a new mother board so that my system is top of the line. Break_dF
On the money issue: Personally, I think (along w/ several other consumers) that service, reliability and features are worth paying extra money for. With computer companies like Voodoo, Falcon Northwest and Alienware, it's difficult to consider buying a high-end Dell or Gateway for gaming. The former 3 are just too far beyond the competition. Having said that, unless you are highly experienced with computer hardware, tweaking and modifications, you will not be able to reproduce a computer w/ the similar stature of an Alien, FW or Voodoo. JediNyt
I got one. Its cool. Aurora DDR. Fan is kinda loud but thats how it is. I guess thats the only thing got good about Alienware. All the bugs I have are from Microsoft... I bought it custom made for $2000. I would also suggest Falcon as a company to look into. You can get a decent gaming machine from them for under $1000. Thats with the min specs of course. But its still good.

Rich you must be I would just suggest you just upgrade you video Card (or wait for the new nVidia one) and sound.... no need to buy a whole new computer with those specs.... Ratmjedi
Good comp man. I am thinking right now of getting my RAM up to 512 cause I have it at 256 and I have a 1.6 P4 and a Geforce 3 Ti 200. I think that with the RAM my comp will start running a little more smoothly and faster.

DiRtY $oUtH™
Alienware sucks ass....the truth is, I only like their cases. I wouldn't mind one. AS a matter of fact, I'm getting an alienware case. The case ONLY!
GUNNER
I don't think you can just buy an Alienware case. I have a cheiftec case which is who makes the cases for Alienware it just doesn't have their logo on the side. But like was said you can build for way less and get the same performance. I have a Asus P4PE board and an P4 1.8A chip that runs at 2.7ghz. I just crank my FSB from 100 to 150 and away we go. I also got a Leadtek GF4 Ti4400 which is a great card and 512mg of Corsair XMS 3200DDR and a 80G WD hard drive and SB audigy xgamer sound. All together it was right around 1K. On mad onions 3Dmarks it got over 13,750 points. It's just the right combo and the best of everything.
