I've a question or two:

Q: Generally once a master has taken on an apprentice, he/she is sworn to teach but also to protect that person from any flaming or personal embarrassment. Most people at LF know not to mess with padawan learners, or else they will have to answer to both the masters and the LFJA Council. Often enough you may not know certain things like how to post images, what topics are appropriate for discussion, poll topics and what not. At any point you can ask your master any question, at any time, and the master is sworn to answer the question, or seek the answer from someone else at any cost. The master acts as a “big brother” or temporary guardian.

I'm having a bit mixed feelings about this. Swearing to protect/save someone from personal embarrassment and flaming is something I cannot do. I cannot stop a person from posting something stupid unless he/she contacts me before posting every time.

You say you're not a clan, and even the ultimate anti-clan. Yet, you're already searching for "clan allies" and the description of your entire organization could easily be the same as for a clan. So, are you a clan but refuse to accept the term? Or not?

Groovy says that Obi is the supreme overlord of this operation. Now, I respect your decision and way of paying Obi back what he started - but I'm really all for democracy here. If that's how you do it anyway, then no problem, but why have this rule then?

The really big gripe I have with the LFJA thingie is that it rarely gets out to those who need it the most. Take a look at Vegietto and Lukeskywalker1. They need help. Double posting and getting offended at people saying bad things about religion. Educate these two, and you shall most definately have my thanks.

Well, we all aren't perfect. One can only see what he/she sees, when he/she sees it. We aren't psychic, we just do the best we can. ;)

We are not a clan. The word "clan" can be throw around very loosly, however. Such as, a group of friends from school playing together all the itme can be a clan. Clans in general have attitudes, snobbiness.(at least most of the clans I have seen. There are a few respectable ones out there;) )

LFJA, along with any other organization, can function better with allies. We all need allies, no one can make it alone in this world.

Now, this is a democracy. I just can veto things If I want. I am not power hungry in any way. I am not gloating when I say that I think I am a good leader. I have a selected council, they decide things, run it through me, and then it is approved. That's how the system works. To quote Padm'e Amidala,

"Giving the people what they want is not a democracy. A democracy is giving the people what they need."

We cannot force anyone to join LFJA. If they do not want to participate, then I am sorry, that is their choice. However, we have ben very busy lately, and our Teachers have been overkilled with work. If someone, say YOU, wanted to be a teacher, do not think for a second that I would turn you down. I have much respect for people like you, and I encourage you to join up with us. If not, that's ok too, because it's your choice. ;)

Well, I can say that was the answer I expected ;)

I guess I was merely a bit afraid of the "sworn to"-expression.

Note that I have nothing against clans as such, but I can see where you're going. I see the difference, in that you're not driven by competition as clans are.

Silly thing of me to ask, anyway.

Damn, silly question strikes again. I hold much respect for you, Obi - I didn't infer in the slightest that you were some power hungry dictator.

I think I was put off by the expression again. Sorry.

Well, I wouldn't post this in this thread, unless I was interested, now would I? :p:D

Just sign on the dotted line below, with your blood... :D

So is that your application then? It's perfectly kosher to post a thread indicating your interest in this very forum. Of course we would be glad to have you.

To try to clear up some confusion, yes we may be operating parallell to a clan, but we are trying to re-define gaming and bring back the fun to which it was intended. What obi and I are striving for is the illimination of gloating, server invasions, all the crap that comes up in the valley, and the clan recruitment section. Like he said we are a group of people who share a common interest, and yes we are working on a dedicated server, and doing some clan things, but we are trying to make a positive difference in the Jedi Outcast community. I have had people that have tried to solve arguments with me by playing a duel in Jedi Outcast. This is the kind of silliness we are trying to break away from. It's a video game, nothing more. We want to bring some order to the chaos that exists on these servers, the cheating, the hacking, the spamming it all ceases here.

For us it is a way of life, and why not live a better life at that.;)

I wish to have a master, please can you help me out.

I am The Lost Welshman (Alex) when the JO forums were realativly new I was, well a 'trouble maker' I spammed, not to gain posts but to get more people to read my threads, that stopped with the first warning. Secondly people began to make fun of me, I retaliated, and got caught. Now though I really want to help out the forums, I am trying to start proper threads and hopefully I will become a welcome member of the forums. Please could I have a nice friendly master to help me on my way. Thank You
