What action figure franchise was your fav when you were a kid? As much as Id like for it to be SW, I wasnt a big SW fan back then when I was in grade school. My fav was Ninja Turtles. I loved em so much. I played em all the time with my friends. I stained the carpet a few times with the mutigen that came with one of the sets. :p My mom was furious. I also watched the cartoon every Saturday and recorded many hours of it. Leonardo was my fav turtle.

its been a long time but as far as i can remember the action figures that i had during the 80's and early 90's were Voltron, He-Man, G.I. Joe, Transformers, and my favorite Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles ( i think i had every TMNT related toys). i had an interseting toy collection but i sold or gave it all way before i moved.

in the 90's i mostly had Spawn action figures.

G.I Joe!! Those figures r0xxored! Snake eyes (with the wolf) and the white Ninja dude who was actually eeevil...so cool!

I also played with Star Wars figures a lot. Still got some left who survived the times when I used to shoot 'em with my airgun. :joy:

And Mask! Loved the green motorcycle that turned into a chopper! How cool was that!!?

I hated SuperHeroNinjaTurtles as well as Masters Of The Universe. Didn't get in to the whole Transformers-thing either.

Nowadays action figures are, like, 2ft tall huge constructs with all sorts of dumb automatic superkicks and voices and whatever.. Do kids really like that? Doesn't it hinder their imagination? Or is "imagination" passé?

surprisingly i've never had a star wars action figure.

growing up i wasn't a big fan as i'am now. i liked the movies but didn't care less about it.

it's just been recently were i fell in love with star wars. i think it was Natalie Portman that got me hooked.

i think i might buy some star wars action figures for display like how i have my spawn action figures.

Don't talk about my 2nd wife like that. :p

She is all mine I tell you.

The action figure's that I use to play with were the TMNT and the Batman ones from the movies and not the show. It was from Batman Returns and under where I got the toys. The other ones screwed it and the toys were dumb after that. I mainly played with my Matchbox cars when I was little too. I too really never had a Star Wars action figure. All I ever got was the Action Fleet vehicles that Micro Machines made. I have quite a few of those and they are still in my room right now on top of my dexk. :D

Being older than most here in the Swamp, my childhood figures were the original Star Wars ones by Kenner. I also had a few Buck Rogers and He-Man action figures. Ah, how I miss bieng a kid...:(

I still collect Star Wars Action Figurines. I have a few vintage ones, and I have like 500 sincwe they started making new oens in 1995. As a matter of fact, last night, I went to this cool collector shop, where they had a bunch of the first ones, Leia, Luke, R2-D2. I bought um all. :p

voltron, power rangers (the first ones goddamnit), G.I. Joes, TMNT, Exo-Squad, Star Wars, Battletech, Jurassic Park, Legos

EDIT: how silly of me, i forgot Transformers!, Optimus was the best and i'm still looking for a toy of him when he's the red semi, that was a kick ass toy, and although you might call me a little kid or somethin like that, i have all my old toys, i never shot or blew any up, they're all in bins in my closet right now, i love toys

i have all of the first variations of the 1995 SW kenner figs, luke obi and darth w/long sabers and stuff like that, they are soo cool, i'm never gonna get rid of these things, but i kinda stopped collecting when they got into all the background characters that were made just to make figures, i don't care for them as much, and i just basically gave up, now i just go for the badass characters/figures

I had a mass of He-man toys (old school), I had G.I. Joe's, Thudercats, Voltron (the metal one not the cheep plastic), Batman figures and anyother type of comic style figures I liked. Mostly X-Men I would buy and trade them with my friends the same goes for Ninja Turtles. Later I got into Spawn comics and figures with my friends. Now-a-days Im toyless...but its fun to think back and reflecked off my childhood, Toys being one of the few things that gave me this huge happyness, in a way blinding me from the realworld but damn if it wasnt bliss.
