JediNyt Posted January 25, 2003 Share Posted January 25, 2003 This is a tough one. I cant say for sure. Maybe the Acklay cause its the largest and has the most weapons. Its quicker than the reek, tougher than the nexu, it could stab either of the other two from a fairly safe distance. Its exo skeleton is very tough. It survived Obis first saber hit to the neck. Soft bodied, and too wide and shallow of a mouth to get a good chunk out of the other two, and its claws probably wouldn't do much damage, either. So this is really Acklay vs. Reek. I doubt if the Acklay's teeth would play much of a role since it, too has a very wide mouth and it seems like the mouth isn't deep enough to really get a good chunk out of the reek. But then, its two pincher things could impale the Reek relatively easy. I'd say the only way the Reek could win is if it got up to charging speed and took the Acklay's legs out from under it. The bulk and speed is all the Nexu has. Its horns aren't in a very good position for impaling, only slashing and I doubt they could go deep enough to phase the Acklay. If it could jump on the Acklay's head, the Nexu would win, biting the Acklay's head until he dies. If he jumped on the Reek, he would have done the same as if it was the Acklay. Tie Guy Posted January 25, 2003 Share Posted January 25, 2003 Why really is the Nexu even included? I mean, we all saw rather clearly what the Reek did to it in the movie. And that's exactly what would happen in a fighter, even if Anikan wasn't riding it. Anyways, i voted Acklay, i think it'd just impale the Reek pretty easily. And its just as strong and the Reek. Number one, it's very agile and might, as lukeiamyourdad said, jump on their neck and take them out. He never saw the reek coming though, it might have been different had he been fighting the reek. He was focussed entirely on Padme. All the reeks attack did was tell us that the nexu doesn't have a very long attention span. That or not very good hearing. The jedi nor jango could avoid it when it charged, so how could a nexu that got wooped by a Senator? The acklay is faster, but if the reek charged it, what would it do? try to move out of the way? if the reek hit it hard, it'd probably damage its claws heavily at the least. I voted the Nexu for the simple fact that it had superior agility and strength (based on the fact that it was able to climb the stone column with such ease). The only reason that it was killed by the reek was that it was distracted by Padmé and didn't expect ithe reek to suddenly turn on it like that. You can tell it didn't expect any attack from the fact that all three creatures walked out into the arena and didnt try and attack each other straight away. Plus, the Nexu used cat-like movements and attacks. If you've ever seen a nature documentary about lions, cheetahs, tigers or anything of that sort, you've seen how brutal and persistantthey can be, so the Nexu would have similar, if not identical hunting instincts and techniques. Very fast, and t could easly claw you to death. However, if they are fghting each other, would say Acklay. I still voted for the Acklay, but I can certainly see why you voted for the nexu. His catlike movements would be very difficult to fight against. By the way, what do you mean? Acklay the most unrealistic? It's basicly a very large spider. Almost all animals in the Star Wars universe are based loosely off of actual animals. But as the Kraytdragon Hunter would say: "Crikey, just look at those massive claws on this Acklay, it's absolutely beautiful! Now we have to be careful because if it's aggravated it could strike out with those claws. And the reek would be killed by the Acklay right away, because he would always be knocking the Acklay down, making him vulnerable. So the nexu would easily win after the Reek is taken out...
