A: This oddly named black lichen grows only on obsidian rocks in the coldest and highest peaks. It seems to require snow and the high altitudes, as all attempt to grow it at lower altitudes have failed. How it came to be known as the Oogleberry is unclear, as the lichen does not produce berries.

 

 

Q: Is this the truth about the Oogleberry?
