Could you recommend games that are similar to Monkey Island, Ive gotten quite addicted to these types of games you see :D

Ive played MI3 & 4, Grim Fandango, DOTT, Sam & Max, Indiana Jones.

Do you know of any games, that are fairly recent, that have the same gameplay and fun puzzle solving like these?

I hope you've also played Monkey Island 1 and 2, as I noticed they weren't on your list. They aren't exactly recent, but they're as close to Monkey Island as you can get when it comes to games not on your list up there :) Its hard to touch MI honestly, especially if you've played most of the other LEC games. Apparently Discworld Noir is worth your time, and Full Throttle, the LucasArts game that you missed.

discworld 1 had a perculiar attribute, it had stupid illogical puzzles (no no, REALLY illogical) and induced several states of insanity upon players who heard eric idle's "that doens't work" for the 5067th time.

However, it was full of originality, good characters, and plenty of humour, which made a it a fab game, but don't say you haven't been warned.

Also, runaway, is supposed to be pretty class and is coming out in a couple of days. Speaking of which, if you like a more serious type of adventure game (but still with points of humour) try out the Dig (lucas arts), Broken sword 1(revolution), and broken sword 2(revolution).

I'd check out the Simon the Sorceror games, as they're not too bad. The other, recent LEC title missing from the list is 'The Dig', but I found found that boring, although some love it, mainly because it lacks the humour of Monkey Island.

Also, you should definitely check out Broken Sword 1 & 2, and try taking a look at the amateur adventure game scene, which grows ever popular (and the games are without price) - recommendations include the almighty Pleughburgh: Dark Ages, Out of Order, Odyseuss Kent, The Rob Blanc trilogy and the short but great 6 Day Assassin. See AdventureDevelopers, the AdventureGameStudio site and The Crows Nest for more.

I recommend getting the following

Grim Fandango

The Longest Journey

Discworld 1,2 and Noir

Broken Sword 1 & 2

Toonstruck

Sam and Max

Day of the Tentacle

and although they aren't in the same sort of style as MI, they do play very similar to it, and they are:

X-Files

Titanic: Adventure out of Time

Hope that helps :)

Thanks alot, all of you. Now I definately know what to use my hard earned money on for the next couple of months :D

"Runaway", which will be released shortly looked very promising, Im definately picking that up.

I noticed on the Lucasarts web page that Full Throttle 2 was in production, which is pretty cool I guess. The problem is that Ive never played Full Throttle 1 and its almost impossible to find, no internet stores that I have seen has had it. Maybe its too old, I dont know.
