Boba Rhett
I hate always bringing the bad news to you guys and gals especially as I'm sitting here crying like a little baby but here it goes. Today at the age of 74, Fred Rogers lost his short battle with stomach cancer. He was the longtime host of the children's show, "Mister Rogers' Neighborhood". Not everyone here knows who he was but I'm sure for many of us he held a special place in our childhoods as well as our hearts. Along with his death I feel a very special part of my childhood is now gone forever. Mr. Rogers, I sincerely thank you for everything you've done for me and children everywhere. You will be dearly missed. Young David
I have no clue who this guy is ... Maybe it's the same as when Lex Goudsmith died ... (One of the people who lived in the dutch sesamestreet)
Praetorian
Mr. Rogers was an awesome guy. I used to watch his show daily. Sesame Street followed by Mr. Rogers...every day. He will be greatly missed by all the children who watched his show. May he rest in peace.
Darth Homer
Yes, YD, very much similar, except he had his own half-hour show for kids that taught safety and he had puppets. I watched his show religiously (no pun intended, he was an ordained minister) when I was a kid. He will be sorely missed. I place him among the greats of Children's entertainment, alongside Dr. Seuss, Jim Henson, and Shel Silverstein.
Havoc Stryphe
Thank you, Fred Rogers, for instilling the value of honesty, the value of life and the importance of learning among america's youth. You were truly a great man, and you will be sorley missed. I, as many, are fruit of his dedication and hard work for the small children of america through several generations. Rest in peace, Mr. Rogers, rest in peace.

Sherack Nhar
Can't say I've heard of him... but from what I'm hearing here I'm inclined to praise his lifetime work... I admire people like him.
Darth Groovy
I didn't know he was still alive. My dad didn't let me watch Mr Rogers when I was little, because he said it caused homosexuality. I wonder if they will freeze his body using cryogenics!?

Nitro
I woke up and heard that... Literally, I gained conciousness, my ears started working, and, "Fred Rogers has died at the age of 74." Kinda ruined my whole day...
Artoo
I knew about Fred, but I never watched him, his lifetime work has helped curb the corruption that television causes in America's young. For that I praise him, I was just more of a Sesame Street person. R.I.P. Mr. Roger.
