Mo Goya Posted March 25, 2003 Posted March 25, 2003 My dad works at lucent, and he has not been laid off yet, he has been working really hard to ensure he does not. I hope he does'nt though. How do you feel about people being laid off and not being able to find a job again? I hope this is not a bad thread like the nonsense ones I made before. Really sorry!!!

Darth Groovy Posted May 27, 2003 Posted May 27, 2003 Well in my country, I lost my good paying job not too long after George Bush came in and starting giving money away. 3 years later, I make about 60% less than what I did, I had to move back home, which was a horrible experience, and I drive a Saturn POS, my friend Al, is so broke, he can't afford to pay attention, and talks about it so much, I get sick of talking to him. The economy blows...

Branik Posted May 27, 2003 Posted May 27, 2003 1€ is currently about $1.18. That's the thing that causes problems in Europe: Nobody in the USA wants to buy our products 'cause they've become so expensive. Everything from the US is on the other hand cheap here.
