cybercell9
I have just one question about the cities in SWG. Will cities have a huge door? Like in daoc, raids in forts had doors, which were the only way to come in. So if another PA attacks your city, how will you defend it?
Jan Gaarni
As far as I've understood: Turrets, walls, NPC's ..... All these cost though, and is not required to be in the city. But it's a good thing to have.
legameboy
welcome to fort Humphry, were you can enjoy the peace of security of vibro-walls (i made that up lol) repeating flechette turrents and 500ft towers!
Sunshine Badass
Not to mention the fields of man eating panzies.
UnfrozenCaveman
I don't think they should have a huge wall around the whole city. Maybe like the majority of it, like town hall and such. It'd be like an Alamo thing if there was a PA war.
Sunshine Badass
Well if you have the money, you could make a wall around the entire city, but where would you expand to then?
legameboy
you wouldnt expand, it would be safe haven for sum, yet a death row for others. Alamo type battles would be cool
waffleman
I thought in the big cities you couldnt start a war?
-=ReApEr=-
You can,But people in charge of the town certain NPCS or player's can look the gate to protect animal's etc as what i understand you can attack any building
setsuko
waffleman: this far, only the starting cities are planned to be totally free from PvP. However, there might be law enforcement NPCs making you pay dearly for whipping out your blaster in public areas. And no, you can't attack buildings. The devs decided against it. Though, turrets and other military installations will propably be attackable, otherwise towns would be entirely invincible if you just put a turret in the middle! Sunshine Badass
Unless it was a wimpy turret or ran out of batteries. Which also means that you cannot attack it in reverse... Yep, no repairs.
Exar_reborn
Well what if there is a faction run fortress (NPCs and real players) that gets invaded by a buncha opposite faction members? FULL SCALE INVASION!!!
swediot=)
well it all depends on which pa you try to invade if you try and invade the =A= then ill rip your limbs off ofcourse but thats beside the question but i think to attack a pa's city you need to declare war against the pa with say...... your pa
UnfrozenCaveman
Yeah, if you try to mess with =A= you're going to have to have some fun with the Combat group, lead by the one and only Setsuko (our version of Gaius Julius Caesar!). Not only should you put your head between your legs and kiss your arse goodbye but you should also be ready to get humiliated because then we'll go to your PA city and rape the buildings and piliage your women!! Muahahahahahaha....*wait a second... * I'm only kidding, we won't piliage your women.
-=ReApEr=-
Wahahahah i myself won't even be around in the town im going to be on the outskirt's of the town taking people hostage and making them my slaves which can actually happen. In the game if someone point's a blaster at you and he say's surender you got a button to surender or not which is preety kool
UnfrozenCaveman
I read no where about this "surrender" button. As well, PC's becoming slaves? I think I read that the devs were going to have that but they canceled the idea due to ethics and morality.
RocketPack Jack
Slaves are not in it AT ALL. The Devs didn't put Geonosis in the game for that reason, it was filled with slaves.
setsuko
Slaves are indeed in, but PC's can't become slaves. After all, last movie supplied by the devs had the characters free slaves from some evil, evil criminals!
legameboy
so, there is slaves, but you cant make people slaves? i think it is a good idea
setsuko
Yes. Slavers will be enemies only. At least until the Hutt faction is back (if it ever will), that could spice things up! The Galactic Civil War would be even more interesting then, imagine a group of rebels attacking some slaver camp. Then, they realize some imperials are attacking the same camp, fifty meters away! And the slavers are actually Hutt faction PC's! The utter chaos that would erupt!
Jan Gaarni
Or, another "Truce at Bakura" type situation. It's your call.
