Chewbacco
My friends and my dad and I went out to go shoot at target with two .22 LR and a 30-06 rifles. And we shot over 500 bullets at cans and targets with the .22's and my dad shot 3 bullets with the 30-06 (Thirty-yhat-six) sniper rifle at a solid plastic 16lb bowling ball. And this gun was sevendy years old. When he shot it, the shockwave was powerful enough that it lifted up the dirt around him and the sound echoed of the hills. The Bullet split the ball in half! It was too loud and could cause cops to come to us. With the .22's, if you shot the bowling ball it would ricochet. One .22 was 60 years old and the other was new. (I bought it) And it is very fun. Do you guys shoot at targets or game? What guns or rifle do you have? I'm curious.

Ratmjedi
M-1 Garand. I am a big M-1 fan and they are fun to shoot with. It just makes you apprciate the rifle more. It gives a little bit of a kick but other than it's a nice rifle. I mostly was shooting at a range cause I don't want to get any attention from the cops. I might go hunting with it thought whenever I actually find a good place.
HertogJan
I used to shoot guns, but you have to have a permit here in the Netherlands. You can only shoot at shooting ranges But I shot an M1 Carbine (.30) once, it was great Escpecially the recoil .22 is standard in sport shooting, small caliber I also shot a Mauser K98 carbine .22 conversion and a .22 conversion for an AR-15 carbine (also shot the original 5.56mm / .223 rem version)... Guns are great, I should go to the shooting range again some time this year, guns are great Modern guns are my favorites though, especially the FN P90... Do you have any favorites? XERXES
I got to shoot an M-16 before, that was tough. I dont like the M-16 at all, my friend in the reserves...he said in basic they teach you ways to hit it to un-jam it. Also you can swing it like a baseball bat and snap it in half easily. He says the AK-47 is his fav weapon, extreemly durable...accurate...deadly. Also the M-16 bullets are not as lethal as the AKs. Shooting the M-16 was pretty neat. I had no trouble aiming it, only controling the recoil. The trigger gets really hot after a few clips as well, I burned my finger a little bit from it (nothing bad). I learned you are supposed to only use the tip of the trigger.
greedo626
I shot a replica Winchester from the Civil War (US). I was 12 and had no arm muscles and the rifle was really heavy. I hit a patch of dirt twenty feet from me... woo hoo! I can hit the ground:D . anyway, I'd really like to do more shooting but my mom is kind of pycho about guns so I guess I'll have to wait until I move out:(

I love this garands too. That gun changed the path of WW2. There easy to find here in the US. The Springfield Armory has a lot them and you can just buy it from them or you can go to a Gun store. You can also search on the Web and you'll find people who have online sites or just like to restore and sell them. The only problem that I have is finding bangoliers. Not many rifles use them now a days so those are hard to find if you want some nice good ones. Most of them are old and need to be cleaned thouroughly. I got mine from the Gun store cause I didn't want to wait for shipping and they can also un demilatirize them. They just have a metal rod shoved down the barrel and they are missing the firing pin. You can look for the firing pin online cause they seel parts and the metal rod is the only thing that is tricky.

Thrackan Solo
When I was 9 I went to a field with my dad and some others, and I was able to shoot a AK-47, the recoil killed my arm and it hurt for a week.
Pedantic
I have an MP5K pellet gun. I love it--it's a good substitute until I'm old enough to own an actual firearm.

Chewbacco
I think you can shoot him if you are threatened with a weapon or something.

greedo626
yes, if it's in self defense you can do anything and get away with it. "He was acting all scary and I was frightened. The only way I could protect myself was to strap him down in my torture chamber and electrocute him with nipple clips." that's the one I use;)
Chewbacco
Oooh, nipple clips. Man that has to hurt. *shivers for picturing it.*
Kurgan
Man some people are messy. When I was in the Boy Scouts we cleaned up a "shooting range" one time, and you wouldn't believe the stuff we found... car parts, cans, tv sets, refrigerators, etc. along with the usual thousands of spent shotgun shells and other rounds. Basically people brought their garbage and shot it. At least dispose of stuff properly after you're done, I say! PS: To prove self defense, you have to establish that your life was reasonably threatened. When it comes to defending property, it depends on the laws in place in that state and how they are commonly interepreted. For example, I think in most states you can't shoot somebody for denting your car (unless say you could somehow prove that they were using their car to try to kill you or something).
