Cosmos Jack
Dam Ford drivers I was looking up sites today and came across this on rotten.com. http://www.rotten.com/library/bio/nazi/adolf-hitler/ If you read down a little bit threw of the page you come to the part of Henrey Ford’s and Hitler’s little fling. There are also some more odd tidbits about Hitler.
Datheus
That's creepy man. I was reading the EXACT SAME PAGE last night. I never knew about Ford either. Talk about a down playing it... But why is this in the Senate? Probably more appropriate in the Swamp.
Cosmos Jack
Well that's true, but every time I think Nazi I think serious discussion..... Any Mod want to move it to the swamp?
griff38
Didn't read your link, but I don't need to. I already knew about the cozy relationship between Ford & Hitler. Hitler had a photo of Ford in his office right till the end. Ford like Hitler blaimed all the worlds problems on the Jews. Ford actually is responsible for one of the worst slanders still believed by many anti Jews today. In the 1800s it was said that Jewish leaders from all around the world had a secret meeting in Prauge, to plot their domination of the world. It was far feched and not even believed by most anti-Jews. But Ford used his resources to print millions of little pamplets that sighted this story and claimed it was true Also he "required" his own workers to hand them out. Eventually some Jewish Americans sued him and won. But instead of stop producing these fabrications, he simply moved printing to somewhere in Europe. ( i wonder where?) So don't buy Ford products, their cars are crap anyway. But the other Nazi car nobody should drive is BMW. Unlike Mercedes, BMW used slave labor during the war to produce their products and increase their profit margin. And to this day refuses to compensate in anyway the tiny handful of survivors. So if you enjoy driving a BMW today, remember the slaves who helped build that company up and then were gased and burned for their reward. Oh, don't drive a Mitsubishi either, they built the planes that bombed Pearl Harbor. I in general love Japan & Japanese people but I have relatives who must be rolling in their graves with the millions of Mitsubishis here in the States. Get a Toyota instead. There is a difference between building war plains for their country and forcing slave labor like BMW. I also don't think you can judge the Japanese by European standers. It's a different culture with a hole different moral base. Oh... and I drive a GMC
Luc Solar
Intersting link, I must say! Makes me wonder, though.... are all world leaders drug addicted alcoholics who lead their country barely conscious? Remember Jeltsin? Kennedy? Hitler? Stalin? I could probably list a few dozen mentally and physically really, really sick people who are in amazingly high places making Big decisions. A coincidence? I don't think so. Must be a Jewish plot to gain world domination!
ShockV1.89
Right. Lets not buy cars built today because of what the head of their companys did 50, 60, 70 years ago. Sorry. I like my Mitsubishi. I would agree with not buying them, or Ford, if any of that was going on right now. But it's not anymore. So not buying them on that basis is foolish. I am going to keep the Celica forever, and the Mustang is gone as soon as I can find somebody to buy it. It's been 4 sale for nearly 6 months. On the Mitsubishi thing I agree, nothing really wrong with owning one. My dislike of them is very personal.
Luc Solar
I drive a Saab and not a single soul on this board knows what the hell that is. I don't like the new Celica. The rear is way too short. And it's not really a sports car. Get a Saab Aero and you'll know what a sports car is AND you can fit your dog in the back! Saab r0xx0rz!
Cosmos Jack
I know what a Saab is and I don't want the car, becouse of anything it may or may not have under the hood. I just like the body it can have a 4 Cilinder for all I care...

Actually you might be suprised how many Saabs there are in the States Luc, and I agree with you about the new Celica, they screwed the pooch on that one. Actually the car I really want is a Supra. I had a 90 Supra turbo 5 speed. But It got totalled and I got that crappy Mustang. Toyota does not currently have a Supra in production. But if they bring it back I will jump on it. Oops, this is getting very fluffy for the Senate. All Cars Suck!!! Get a bike or walk!!!

XWING5
I drive a Ford Explorer (waits for tomato throwing to commence) and I like it. Though I do understand the acronym: FORD: Fixed Or Repaired Daily I guess I am wishy-washy on my boycotts. I don't buy Nike or McDonald's, yet I overlook Ford. I even struggle with whether I still look up to "heroes" Charles Lindbergh and Helen Keller - Lindbergh, a German supporter and Keller, a Red. Edit: I would love to boycott BMW, that way I won't have to worry about saving up to buy one.

( I have had a lot of bubbles burst like that) You can only do so much, your not a bad person for driving a Ford or BMW. But maybe we can be better people by thinking about things like this. Your point about heroes is a good one. Perhaps I will start a Hero worship topic.

It's like the big BUY USA craze that went through here. That was when I was a kid, back in the 80's, and it was like everyone was like, oh yeah, I didn't think about that too much. Some companies that you just give money to are that stereotypically faceless corporation out for themselves and the bottom line. I don't feel this way about all companies, but I am rambling and getting way off topic. Geez, ummm, so where was I going with this?!? Oh yeah, I agree with just keeping people informed. Everyone can make their own decisions from there.
Bob Gnarly
im not sure if this is off topic but the things i found on that link where fascinating, i find Hitler and amazing man, there so much we still dont know about him, though im not pro-nazi germany i just find im interesting....the fors and against thigs where the best by far
Cosmos Jack
Yes they were very interesting. I like the fact he was a nonsmoker lol I thought that was cute. If you smoke you can call people telling you that you shouldn’t Nazi fascist pig. lol Though I’m a nonsmoker myself does that make me a Nazi? Chastan
History is history, but I wish Ford didn't have all the stuff about Henry Ford on their 100th anniversary website... p.s. if you get a new (7th generation) Celica, don't get the GT-S, it's actually slower around an autocross track due to the crappy gearing of the 6-speed

"Red" was probably the wrong term to use, but she did speak out very much so about the Capitalism of America. She was also sympathetic to communist causes.
