All of the three PT fights have great stunts, effects, etc but they lack to raw emotion that the OT fights have.

Except for when Qui-Gon dies. :(

I would have to say:

1st- Tie between ESB and RoTJ

2nd- Tie between both PM duels

3rd- Any AoTC duel--They were too short IMO. And Yoda was kind've goofy. :p

Sorry for my lack of decision making, but I love all of them! :D

The lightsaber fights in AotC pissed me off. Frankly, that whole movie felt like on big comedic relief. It was too long winded, and the fights lacked any appeal like the one between Obi-wan and Maul. I remember back in eighth grade trying forever with my best friend to re-enact that fight with cat tails. :D :D :D We were good. Oh yeah. Had it memorized and did it increasingly faster and faster until we were really good. Those were some times.

Much of The Phantom Menace was, in my opinion, the best star wars experience. This summer I will have to rewatch the original triligy becasue I do not remember it very well at all. My opinion is very subject to change. The fight between Anakin and Dooku was too short, and was basically cut too short too soon. Yoda was just dumb. That fight made me angrier than Jar Jar ever did. It was too cheesy and fake in my opinion.

Obi-Wan vs Darth Maul for sure! This one was the most explosive of all. Great lightsaber skills.

Second comnes Yodi vs Dooku. But because Yoda is animated, it looks kind of weird sometimes.....:D

Appearantly, it's a battle between special effects (episode 1&2) and good cinematics (ESB and RotJ). Me, I go for ESB.

I must be a very strange human being, because I wasn't impressed/entertained by the Yoda vs Dooku fight. I sure know most people say it is the saving grace for the entire movie: for me, that saving grace sadly doesn't exist. :/

I'm frustrated with the fact that Jango died so easily. Not to mention that Darth Maul wasn't really a big factor in Ep 1. I think Lucas really dropped the ball on his villians in the prequels. The lightsabre fight with anakin and dooku was too short but it was pretty cool and I personally liked the fight between dooku and yoda. Whenever I watch the movie I always skip the parts where anakin macs it hard with amidala, just stupid scenes in my opinion, they are just reading lines not acting. I think the best lightsabre duel ever was obi-wan and vader :D:p;)

Maybe you were just joking, but i agree. The amount of will power Obi had to have to not let his hatred for Vader make him strike out was unimmaginable.

Also, does anyone know how a Jedi Master becomes a 'blue glowie'? I'm not talking SWG here. Seeing as how only a Jedi Master can achieve such an honorable position, it may be that Obi had to use extreme quanities of the Force to become a blue-dude... :gben:

I hated that fight the most of all the fights. Yoda was too cheesy and there was not really anything you could see except for Yoda flashing around on screen. It seemed to me that Dooku just kinda sat in one place while Yoda hopped all over the place like a CGI nightmare. There seemed to be no actual substance, and at that moment, my belief in Star Wars just died completely. After making it through Episode II, I thought that at least they would have been able to improve on the lightsaber duels from Episode I, but Anakin just fell over, Obi-wan did VERY little, and Yoda just hopped about. To me, killed Star Wars. There should not really be any comic relief of that magnitude. :( :( :(

I think it has to be the Vader vs Luke fight in EP6...the raw emotion, the pain, the sadness...it wasn't flashy, but in truth it was based on the emotions of both people -- and in the end it was the emotional, human side of Vader that saved Luke.

Besides, I love how Luke just went swinging wildly out of control filled with rage and anger, it was more "human" than the other fights.

I mean granted...Jedi are supposed to be "atheletic" or at least somewhat so...and with the force to guide them, but the emotional fights were the best.

Hmmm, I change my vote; Vader vs Luke in ROTJ was alot more fun to watch because of all the emotions flying around. Granted, Mark Hamil did over-act just slightly, and he had that oh so whinney voice, but it still was a tear jerker...I mean what? I didn't say that, I'm a manly man... :mrt:
